    So glad I watched this. I was going to do mitre joints. Until now!

      Just check the walls are pretty plumb in the corners, if not use a bevel to mark / check for a square cut.. Have fun...

    Like that technique, very handy👍👍...does that work with torus and ogee???

    • @jockey1304
      @jockey1304  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dean. Yes it will. The process is exactly the same. The original mitre cut will outline the scribe cut you need to make. Torus and ogee are a little more tricky to get spot on tho.

    hi great vid, Does it matter if its a left 45 or right?

    • @jockey1304
      @jockey1304  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The vid shows a scribe for a left 45. For a right handed 45 it is just a mirror image of what I have shown. Hope this helps.

      @@arfanjhangir8465 I hope it helps. With a little practice you should get the hang of it. For more fancy skirting just take the initial 45 degree cut to the bottom of the moulding and follow the same as before. Good luck.

    Hi
    Excellent work, although I need clarification as you marked out the undercut but didn't undercut it. You cut straight down.

    • @jockey1304
      @jockey1304  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did undercut the vertical cut slightly, I exaggerated when I showed the undercut prior to making the cut. As long as it undercut by less than square it will be fine. Thank you for your comment I hope this video helps you.

    Very nice job. If you don't mind me saying, I'd get rid of that workmate and make a saw horse to a height that's more comfortable for your height. You shouldn't have to clinb onto the work piece

      I agree, I'm a little short at 5'2" so most workmates are a bit high. Always difficult to make videos by yourself unless you plan it to the enth degree.. Hindsight is wonderful thing. Thanks for the positive comment.

      Yes, possibly agree but I had it set up to the right height for when I was using the mitre block..When filming there are always things that can be done better unless you have lots if time for editing.. Thank you for commenting. I hope it helps you.
