Fitting Skirting Board

  • In this video I am showing you how I fit skirting board in my spare room.
    I am using Bullnose MDF profile from Wickes and I am going to be scribing the internal corners so will be going through how I do it.

    I didnt realise you could fit the raw plugs through the skirting in that way. How come I've been messing around with expensive hammer fixings for so many years?

      I've never used hammer fixings, i've only ever bashed the wall plugs through with a hammer! seems to work for me

    Mate what size screws and why red plugs curious thought brown would be better

      Hi mate. Im using 6mm fisher duo power plugs in this video, size wise they would be the same as a classic red plug i think. The screws i used were 60x5. I dont tend to use browns for skirting i find them to be overkill as i think id also have to step up a screw size and its not carrying much load and only needs to grab the wall. That was my thought process anyway. Im sure youll find other opinions but ive never had a problem using this size. Hope that helps
