I agree there, no arsing about, no rubbish music, and also no "look at me with my Milwaukee or DeWalt mitre saw, ain't I doing well" bragging and showing off. I think alot of people who do these videos spend more time at the computer editing and adding silly effects than actually doing the task they are demonstrating. I could do with him round my place for various jobs, close to Liverpool as well.

Another great video. I’ve learnt a lot from your skirting and coving videos. One extra tip I picked up from Robin Clevett was to use an extra piece of skirting as a scribe template to get the exact angle for the straight cuts on internal scribes. Makes for perfect closure even when the walls aren’t plumb!

From the Philippines. I love working without power tools with my bare hands and teeth 😜. You made me feel that I can do this moulding around my bathroom myself. Thank you so much for the video. May the force be with you always.

Really well done. Even applicable to those of us lucky enough to have the power tools. Hand cutting a straight line is a whole new skill set. Impressive.

The theory can be applied to a mitre saw as well as a hand saw but not everyone can afford power tools so I kept it as simple as possible.

Great idea using a jig to show every type of angle you might have to deal with. A lot of videos don’t acknowledge that the external mitre joints/walls can be out of square but your video is spot on! Thanks a lot and please keep them coming, great videos, well done!

Best skirting board video ive seen by a mile. Every other video ive seen talks about profile/mitre cuts as a matter of the viewers preference. You took the time to explain when, why and how you should do both. Also i appreciate your honesty "if you mitre and caulk it will come apart". Somehow I knew that. Seen so many gaps in the skirting of my old house, but no one ever says this to you.

This is a great video! Just a tip for anyone with laid flooring so you can't draw on the floor - What I did was masking taped a few sheets of paper down and drew on those and it came out brilliantly. This is the best video out there for fitting skirting. Every other video I watched assumes 90 degree corners!

Brilliant! This is the best explanation of the job I have seen. Actually to have someone acknowledge the job can be done with hand tools is so refreshing. Thanks so much. I'm off to fit the skirting in my daughter's house next week and she's even fussier than the missus.

      Thanks for your comment.
I realise people watching want to learn and have a go themselves to possibly save money.
So they probably don't have the money to buy expensive power tools. If I can show them how to do it with only inexpensive hand tools I hope I have helped them to do a decent job and save some money too.
Good luck in your daughters house and let me know how you get on.
