And, when you do finally figure it out, you find yourself saying "they made that WAY more complicated than it needed to be". It's insane what these companies are doing to its customers these days. It used to be a blast to build PC's. Now, you're hearing more and more people hating it, for all the wrong reasons. Or, at best, simply not enjoying it like they used to.
Dude, I had the same problem with the standoff screws on AM5 socket. THAT was frustrating especially when it's for a build I didn't want to do in the first place. haha. Glad I'm not the only one.

Just curious, this same setup (meaning how the cooler mounts onto the board) should work for the X870E series from MSI? Taking off the bracket and all that? Thank you for the video!
I had my PC built by a custom PC building company. My Corsair H150i Elite Capellix cooler was installed with the fans on top of the radiator facing towards the top of the case rather than being installed pointed down into the case. I am in the process of installing a new AIO (same type but slightly newer model) and I was wondering if I should make my new AIOs radiator fans facing down towards the case rather than having them on top of the radiator facing up. Nearly every PC that I see with an AIO cooler has the fans facing down rather than facing up like mine currently is. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
When mounting to the roof of the case is the radiator flush with the roof of it? My case can take two 120 or 140mm fans. But there's a recess on the backside where I have a handle. I'm going to get a 280 model and if it contacts where the case dips down I guess I'll have to mount standoffs.
current Amd Ryzen 7800x3d / msi Mag tomahawk b650 builders (jan 2024) ... if ur h150i Capellix didn't come with mount for the "hook" style mobo brackets, use the amd/amd4 side mounts in the kit, take off the "hook" mounts ur board came with, those screws are tricky, u might just need the regular ones, or u may need the Fat/Skinny ones like he said in the video... for Tomahawk b650 i just needed the Regular ones, and then the four small Thumb Screws go right in.... PRO TIP ... Do this outside of the Case first. Motherboard + cpu + aio Coolers + GPU .... ( i put my MoBo ontop of its' Case, and used some books + case to help with supporting the GPU. Plug all the connections into Mobo and Gpu to Monitor to see if it boots up ! , then put everything in case!!!!!! will be an extra 30 minutes of time but worth it. This is my first time building , i spent 1 night watching videos on how to build / my specific parts and Case, the 2nd day i really read over the Motherboard manual ( which really helps with the Connections , it's really not too many connections !!!! . Expect this to take 2-3, 5 days , go slow... U will most likely get a part or 2 wrong and have to order adapters ... Do it this way will save u time in the future by avoiding mistakes, and learning about the process!
hey, what are your temperatures with this cooler and 7800X3D? I get 65/70 degrees while gaming and almost 60 degrees while browsing on the web, with cinebench R23 I get 89 degrees. Is it normal for you, because I can see people running game at max 50 degrees or maybe 60 degrees but mine doesn't at all and overheat for nothing imo.
I just finish my build with this Fan Cooler. Your video help a LOT. I have a question tho: the cooler that has the logo, is not showing any color, is that normal in the 1st boot? Or did miss something?
Great video! I have just installed my Capellix on an intel chip but found it better to orientate the CPU block by rotating it so that the pump valves are now positioned at the top of the motherboard and the cables come out on the side (where the IO ports of the MB are). The Rad is mounted to the top of the case. Every example image/video I've seen of this install has the pump valves positioned to the left or right of the CPU block. Even the instructions say mount and align the pump according to the diagram (In here, the pump valves are postioned next to the memory slots).I hope that makes sense but do you think this will affect the cooler's performance or life span in anyway?
I’ve tried plugging the 3 pin into my pump fan and cpu fan sections of the motherboard but neither will start the pump but my fans are running fine, any idea what I should do?
Cheers!!!! Cool Video!! I Would like to as a question: Naturally You install the RGB fans on the inside so You can see the full effect of the lighting, but as they are they are sucking the warm air from inside the case and channelling it through the radiator, which should be receiving cool air. Shouldn't You reverse the mounting of the fans, and pull the outside air through the radiator? You would see the back fan structure, but the lighting effect would be there...
Just started to put mine in and bracket , stand off screws dont go fully tight on all 4 , i found a corsair post on there faq saying this is normal and will tighten up when the cooler is fitted
I just bought the white H150 XT. I had the Dark Rock 4 by Be Quiet. For some reason my cpu was reaching almost 90 degree celsius while playing MW2. Hopefully it does the job 😅
It looks like a lot of the radiator is blocked by the various mounting size holes for other radiators. It must restrict the airflow/performance? If you wish to have more than 6 fans can you just add another controller?
This video helps a ton but I’m still confused. The problem I’m having is where to plug the small wire that comes off the pump head. I have a plug named “PUMP FAN 1” and also CPU FAN 1. My old cooler that I’m replacing has the fan plugged into “PUMP FAN 1” and the small wire plugged into “CPU FAN 1”. Which one do I plug the small wire off the pump head? PUMP FAN 1 or CPU fan 1?
great video. just purchased this aio, but the 360. did not know i will have to take off my motherboard just to add this beautiful AIO to my already working build. not looking forward to basically redoing my whole build just to upgrade my CPU cooler. very sad. But hey, guess it could use a deep cleaning anyway. Im using a Lian Li Dynamic. Thanks for the guide. earned a sub from me!
Can someone tell me how to save settings in ICUE? Every time I select the CPU temperature setting and I reset my PC, the LCD screen returns to water cooling temperature. The color spectrum also changes back to factory settings.
Question my hi70 cooler instructions for am5 told me to clip the cooler two the two plastic clips one at the top amd one at the bottom with two metal clips and two of the 4 screws your mounting on the motherboard
great video. I just installed mine. on amd 4 the temp is fine however icue is not reading it or the fans. only 1 of the 2 fans light up all 3 spin but icue doesnt read it. i have switched usb ports nothing changed.i have checked connections everything seems to be correct. i plugged in an old fan to one of the non-working rgb fans on the core. the old fan rgb went on and defaulted red not unicorn. but still was not read by icue. i checked my devices in windows settings it read the core but not the pump. any advice? all of the troubleshooting steps on ice website have not helped
now i did notice that the icue H150i manual says to plug the tach cable into the CPU_FAN header and not the AIO_pump header... Is that going to be a problem?
I’m currently building mine I have the same case and I have the radiator mounted on the side and it’s on a B650 tomahawk motherboard and a AMD ryzen 9 but every time I boot it says it’s overheating any idea on what I’m doing wrong.
Extremely helpful! So I just bought this same exact AIO .. as well as 3 more Corsair 140 fans for the front of the case, so the front case fans would plug into the AIO controller as well I assume? Also I have one more Corsair 140 rgb fan I bought for the rear exhaust .. since the AIO controller will be full with the 3 radiator fans and 3 front case fans .. where should I plug in that last rgb exhaust fan so it lights up too? My mobo is the Asus Z790 hero Maximus. Thanks!!
Is the thermal paste these come with good? I bought MX-6 to apply myself but I can’t get a straight answer on the performance compared to self applied thermal paste
Theres a wider cable on the controller for the corsair, but I dont see any port on my motherboard that it could possibly fit into. In the video, I saw that it connected to something in the top left corner on your motherboard but I couldnt really see what. Any ideas? Im using a B550 Carbon motherboard.
I just ordered the H170i. I'm installing it in a Corsair Obsidian 1000D Super-Tower case. So there should be plenty of room for 6 fans on top. I'm not a huge fan of water cooling. Spring a leak and that would be $6,000 worth of hardware down the drain!
Great detail, thanks! If you had an exhaust fan, how would you connect it to be controlled by icue if you only had 6 spots on the commander pro? I dont want to have to buy another node just for one fan...
Thanks for the vid. My AMD kit only came with 3 stand-off screws not 4. Do you think I could get away with tightening down with 2 screws, in opposite corners? I realize tightening with 3 would cause uneven pressure. Really frustrating for a basic oversight on a $200+ product to hold up an entire build, I’m seeing red rn.
Excuse me. I just bought this for my AMD Ryzen 7 5700 but, once you add the screws into the back piece of the motherboard it fits lose. Like it wiggles around because it isn' able to go down all the way. Am I supposed to add washers inside the motherboard?
You've done it wrong. I thought I showed that in the video. The stand off screws are ever so slightly fatter on one side. That's the side you screw into the motherboard. If you do it the other way they won't fit properly.
Hey, Thanks for uploading this video but I have a question is it necessary to plug in that wide connector coming from the pump into the commander core? Becase what if you didn't want to use corsair fans at all making the commander core useless?
A bit confused about your fan setup on the Radiator... Does the manual not say that the fans should be setup as air intake meaning pulling air into the pc so it can exhaust out the back ?
I'm going to do a video on this soon, but you could connect the fans to the CPU fan header (use splitter cables) and then if you have RGB on those fans, connect them to whatever other controller you have or the RGB header on the motherboard.
@@TheProvokedPrawn Thanks for the reply! Yea I get that I can a hub for my other fans, but what about the cable leading out of the pump head, which is Corsair? I'd still need a Commander Pro. Or am I wrong? (A popular combination is Lian Li fans, with the Corsair Pump Head)
I would like to do a push pull setup. Using 3 QL120s to push, and the AF120s to pull. I have all QL120 fans in my 5000d case and want to keep the uniform look within the case. Would that work well? or would having two different fans types on the AIO cause trouble?
Assume you're taking about a different AIO. Usually it's best not to mix two different fan types for push pull because they have different airflow capabilities and might spin at different speeds. It's possible but not recommended
@@TheProvokedPrawn I appreciate the quick reply. I just got the XT version of the same AIO. I guess I need to get 3 more QL120s to do push pull properly.
Anyone nows how to reduce fan speed when using a pwm controller for fans. It runs them at full speed and I know i need to chante it in the bios but dont know where in
Good morning Provoked Prawn. I have a question regarding the newer version of this, the Elite 150 which I've had running for a while. I decided to introduce a second commander core XT to my system for easier RGB and fan control but since doing this, my pc fans now all run at 100% from start up with a hard reset due to overtemp on the CPU. Would this suggest the pump has failed? I only get around 45 seconds before the system shuts down automatically. To be honest, I'm reluctant to switch it back on! I have 13 Corsair AF120/140 fans all except the rear exhaust are connected to the commander cores of which I have two. I'm guessing I'll have to strip everything back and recheck terminations/connections. Scary when the pc you've just spent nearly £5k on does this....:(
Hi Mike. It's really hard to troubleshoot remotely. Is it possible that you have accidentally disconnected the pump from the Commander Core or that connection is lose (the big fat cable) or that the tiny pump cable that connects from the pump to the AIO header or CPU fan header on the motherboard is disconnected or that the pump is loose? Check this th-cam.com/video/nVkN8diBIAE/w-d-xo.html
@@TheProvokedPrawn Hi bud. Thanks for replying. I had the original commander that came with the AIO and all worked fine. The remaining fans were sent to a Corsair RGB header with the pwm cables going to the chassis fan headers (with a few added via splitters). All was running perfect with long sessions on 3D Mark and CPU stress tests all perfect. All I have done is add another core XT and removed the RGB header and put all remaining pwm's into that. The pc doesn't seem to be registering and fans at all being present. I'm going to strip it down and try to fault find. If I figure out where I've gone wrong I'll post back so you can do a video on what NOT to do! :D Have a great day bud....... Mike.
@@TheProvokedPrawn I'm just thinking. Because I've made significant changes to the fan hardware, should I have cleared the CMOS first? I have no idea if that has any bearing on anything but it just popped into my head...
@@TheProvokedPrawn Hi bud. Ok, so after checking everything, it would seem that I either forgot to attach the data cable from the pump head to the commander so it was never going to see the commander. The pump never ran so the CPU went straight to max temp then auto protect kicked in to save it. I just hope that I haven't caused any lasting damage to my cpu! :( Corsair have just released version 5 of Icue which I've downloaded so I'll set that up and run some long duration CPU testing. Fingers crossed my 7800x3d has survived my stupidity! Thanks for taking the time to reply! I really appreciate the assistance! :) Mike.
If I were to have 3 more fans for that hub that are argb but not Corsair, will they work with it? I have Arctic argb P14s for my build but I only have the hub that came with this cooler.
thank you for this video, i saw the "large" connector coming off of the heatsink that touches the cpu and i was like oh fuck i don't have a power cablet hat fits that lol ...then you told me its for the controller and i was like...god bless lmao
Currently going for either a 13900k or 7950x3D soon… was in between the h150i elite lcd / Z73 Kraken / EK Nucleus / Deepcool LT720. Pretty sure you’ve covered all of these except EK. I’m kinda leaning towards Corsair and NZXT for manufacturer brand. Any thoughts? Thanks
I need to get some EK things. Been meaning to talk to them. You cannot go wrong with Corsair or NZXT coolers imo. I personally love the Z73 in my system but if you like Corsair then these latest ones are superb.
I had an issue with EK -except for the coiling sound, the software was basicly not supported anymore (very little development) and you did not have much controll over what temprature you want the cooler to go off. I instead chosed corsair just beacuse of this reason, i want the fans to go of the coolant temprature instead of cpu spikes. The EK went from 0-100% fanspeeds and down again very often (noisy). Im supersensitive to sound and only corsair lives up to that standard currently (After all ive tested). Hope it helps.
In Corsair documentation for the H170i it says "Connect pump tach cable to the CPU_FAN header on your motherboard (Figure 2)." - howcome you chose AIO_Pump instead, is it only because of the bios "extra steps" corsair chosed CPU_FAN ? Great video btw! :) im collecting my cooler today and installing it this weekend (i9 13900k)
I would say CPU_FAN header defo as if you plugged it into the AIO_PUMP header then many of the newer motherboards would complain that you don't have a CPU fan installed.
@@Zen0Kaiby0Sp1rit CPU fan is still usefull for its integrated PWM, usually you link your fan hub to it, this way all fans of your case can scale their speed with CPU temp.
When I was building my PC last december I thought about using a corsair AIO like this one but it would have been the only corsair product in my case and I would have needed to use Icue just for the AIO. Someone pointed me in the direction of the Deep Cool LS Series which offered me the same things I wanted out of the Corsair (Square head, Customizable cover etc without a need for Icue. and at less price. I can see using this type of cooler if you have lots of corsair products in your system and are going to use Icue for lots of things but I didn't think it was worth it just for one item.
Issue is also when you start using iCue, then you want everthing to be from Corsair. I know what I speek about, baught the 7000x Corsair case and now I find myself watching those videos about the H170i......
I guess you have the old H150 from Corsair. They were efficient but really noisy indeed. With the Capelix line it has become just much much better, for both fan and pump noise.

You did help me so much with this video ... This is the first time i build a pc myself. I did learn so much by watching your video. i did like the details and all the explanations. Thank you so much ❤️
Thanks very much. I've also got a playlist with a lot of helpful tips in it. How to build a gaming PC: th-cam.com/play/PLlRFhsGPgCG9yKCHtL2_UnwSGitMqao5z.html
Just curious, this same setup (meaning how the cooler mounts onto the board) should work for the X870E series from MSI? Taking off the bracket and all that? Thank you for the video!
thank you so much for this video im building my first ever PC and this has helped so much its really scary as a beginner
Glad I could help!
Tak!
Thanks for the Super Thanks 👍❤️
Great video , need to finish assembling my 7950x3d in the lian li evo today with the 150i capellix , so good pointers here.
I have an Evo build guide if it helps
I had my PC built by a custom PC building company. My Corsair H150i Elite Capellix cooler was installed with the fans on top of the radiator facing towards the top of the case rather than being installed pointed down into the case. I am in the process of installing a new AIO (same type but slightly newer model) and I was wondering if I should make my new AIOs radiator fans facing down towards the case rather than having them on top of the radiator facing up. Nearly every PC that I see with an AIO cooler has the fans facing down rather than facing up like mine currently is. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Very useful information very clear instructions
Thank you very much
Thanks so much. I couldn't have completed this without your excellent skills and video.
Thanks Carroll. Hope you appreciated enough to subscribe
Got a ICue7000X been working on my PC for two days stalker 2 cones out tomorrow I can't get the case fans on but the CPU works along with the CPU fans
Hate that I could not use the commander in my Corsair 7000X case... had to remove it and use the one that came with this cooler.
Thank you very much, you saved me a huge headache.
Glad to help
You've connected all the power and usb connections too?
Thank you for explanation! Also I very like your voice!
Thanks. Hope you enjoyed enough to subscribe
Cheers!!!! Cool Video!! I Would like to as a question:
Naturally You install the RGB fans on the inside so You can see the full effect of the lighting, but as they are they are sucking the warm air from inside the case and channelling it through the radiator, which should be receiving cool air.
Shouldn't You reverse the mounting of the fans, and pull the outside air through the radiator? You would see the back fan structure, but the lighting effect would be there...
is it possible to install a fan in the rear ?
Just started to put mine in and bracket , stand off screws dont go fully tight on all 4 , i found a corsair post on there faq saying this is normal and will tighten up when the cooler is fitted
Yeah that just happened to me too. I was starting to suspect that it was faulty, but your comment makes me feel calm. Thanks.
Great video! Def gonna me out when I install mine. Thank you for the guide!
No problem 👍
very straightforward great tutorial thank you
You're most welcome
Anybody know if you have to connect to CPU_fan or AIO_fan? is connecting to CPU_fan going to be significantly worse?
Either is fine
The wire that comes off the pump is only 3 prongs. And the cpu fan has 4 on the motherboard board. This pump says it works with am5?
It's fine
if you dont want rgb can you simply not connect the RGB into the commander? or must it be connected and disabled after
Erm sure I guess. As long as fan power is connected. Or just turn it off in icue
PUMP
great video. just purchased this aio, but the 360. did not know i will have to take off my motherboard just to add this beautiful AIO to my already working build. not looking forward to basically redoing my whole build just to upgrade my CPU cooler. very sad. But hey, guess it could use a deep cleaning anyway. Im using a Lian Li Dynamic. Thanks for the guide. earned a sub from me!
Thanks for the sub. Good luck with it!
Ur the man u helped me a lot threw my process thank you
Can someone tell me how to save settings in ICUE? Every time I select the CPU temperature setting and I reset my PC, the LCD screen returns to water cooling temperature. The color spectrum also changes back to factory settings.
Question my hi70 cooler instructions for am5 told me to clip the cooler two the two plastic clips one at the top amd one at the bottom with two metal clips and two of the 4 screws your mounting on the motherboard
This is the XT which is a newer variant I believe. Not at all confusingly named.
@The Provoked Prawn oh right I sat there thinking 🤔 mine never said that just fitted it to a 7900x
great video.
So connect it to my AIO pump header on the mobo and not the CPU Fan header? Does this differ for each board ?
hola, sera compatible en tamaño con el corsair 4000x? gracias!
Super video helped with my install
Glad to help. Hope you enjoyed enough to subscribe 🦐
now i did notice that the icue H150i manual says to plug the tach cable into the CPU_FAN header and not the AIO_pump header...
Is that going to be a problem?
No just switch off the pc and change swap it around :)
I’m currently building mine I have the same case and I have the radiator mounted on the side and it’s on a B650 tomahawk motherboard and a AMD ryzen 9 but every time I boot it says it’s overheating any idea on what I’m doing wrong.
The pipes sitting on the gpu is that a problem as you can’t lock the pipes into place on the AIO if that makes sense?
Extremely helpful! So I just bought this same exact AIO .. as well as 3 more Corsair 140 fans for the front of the case, so the front case fans would plug into the AIO controller as well I assume? Also I have one more Corsair 140 rgb fan I bought for the rear exhaust .. since the AIO controller will be full with the 3 radiator fans and 3 front case fans .. where should I plug in that last rgb exhaust fan so it lights up too? My mobo is the Asus Z790 hero Maximus. Thanks!!
I am going to buy H170i soon and using Rog Strix x570 e gaming MB will I have to go in bios and setup the fan?
Is the thermal paste these come with good? I bought MX-6 to apply myself but I can’t get a straight answer on the performance compared to self applied thermal paste
Good enough
Theres a wider cable on the controller for the corsair, but I dont see any port on my motherboard that it could possibly fit into. In the video, I saw that it connected to something in the top left corner on your motherboard but I couldnt really see what. Any ideas? Im using a B550 Carbon motherboard.
The cables that come out of the pump head? One goes to the commander, the other to CPU fan or AIO pump on the motherboard
Are the am5 stand offs not supposed to go in all the way?
Hi! Just wodnering about the damaged thermal paste. Would you apply some to the damage area to make up for the loss?
Yes, absolutely
Would you wipe the preapplied off completely and redo it or just add a touch of paste to the missing area@@TheProvokedPrawn
I just ordered the H170i. I'm installing it in a Corsair Obsidian 1000D Super-Tower case. So there should be plenty of room for 6 fans on top. I'm not a huge fan of water cooling. Spring a leak and that would be $6,000 worth of hardware down the drain!
What is the difference between this an the h170i elite cappelix 420mm ? Without the xt Can i mount lga1700 out the box ?
Corsair needs to make this AIO in white for the h170 asap
Great detail, thanks! If you had an exhaust fan, how would you connect it to be controlled by icue if you only had 6 spots on the commander pro? I dont want to have to buy another node just for one fan...
th-cam.com/video/eEeMzFHxtWw/w-d-xo.html
Why cant it keep the temp on the cpu lower when you bench it?
Thanks for the vid. My AMD kit only came with 3 stand-off screws not 4. Do you think I could get away with tightening down with 2 screws, in opposite corners? I realize tightening with 3 would cause uneven pressure. Really frustrating for a basic oversight on a $200+ product to hold up an entire build, I’m seeing red rn.
I hope you have contacted Corsair about that. I wouldn't risk three.
I just realized this is not the icue h100i capellix xt
Icue h100i elite capellix xt
I'm an idiot. I figured it out. Oh God do I feel dumb lol
@@kaydogcreations good stuff.
Hey, Thanks for uploading this video but I have a question is it necessary to plug in that wide connector coming from the pump into the commander core? Becase what if you didn't want to use corsair fans at all making the commander core useless?
A bit confused about your fan setup on the Radiator... Does the manual not say that the fans should be setup as air intake meaning pulling air into the pc so it can exhaust out the back ?
the air needs to go to the radiator which cools the liquid
What if I were to use non Corsair fans? How will the cabling work, without the Commander Pro?
I'm going to do a video on this soon, but you could connect the fans to the CPU fan header (use splitter cables) and then if you have RGB on those fans, connect them to whatever other controller you have or the RGB header on the motherboard.
@@TheProvokedPrawn Thanks for the reply! Yea I get that I can a hub for my other fans, but what about the cable leading out of the pump head, which is Corsair? I'd still need a Commander Pro. Or am I wrong?
(A popular combination is Lian Li fans, with the Corsair Pump Head)
@@ShaunChan you'd still need to connect that to the Corsair controller. It's included with the cooler.
Great video,again.
👍😊
Thanks Jay.
Very helpful! Thank you!
Glad to help. Hope you enough to subscribe 🦐
I bought this but returned it. It went out after a day of use. I’m sure I got a defective one. I got the one with the LED instead.
Anyone nows how to reduce fan speed when using a pwm controller for fans. It runs them at full speed and I know i need to chante it in the bios but dont know where in
my aio pump says n/a what does that mean?
bro u saved me so much time, i got 1 question. is a splitter needed? or optional
Optional
Would it be possible to switch out the fans it comes with for another set of fans ?

CORSAIR ICUE H150I ELITE CAPELLIX XT WHITE 360MM Good??
Great video!!! Thank you very much!
Thanks Wilson :) Glad you liked it.
where do you buy the fan controller?
Comes with it
Great vid like usualy, want to ask you if you already tried the intel lga 1700 bending corrector and what do you think about?
I haven't yet tbh
Do you have to refill the radiator
No
Good morning Provoked Prawn.
Have a great day bud....... Mike.
@@TheProvokedPrawn I'm just thinking. Because I've made significant changes to the fan hardware, should I have cleared the CMOS first? I have no idea if that has any bearing on anything but it just popped into my head...
@@mb-electricalservices I don't think that would matter tbh. If the fans are immediately ramping then it does suggest something wrong with the pump
Corsair have just released version 5 of Icue which I've downloaded so I'll set that up and run some long duration CPU testing. Fingers crossed my 7800x3d has survived my stupidity!
Thanks for taking the time to reply! I really appreciate the assistance! :)
Mike.
If I were to have 3 more fans for that hub that are argb but not Corsair, will they work with it? I have Arctic argb P14s for my build but I only have the hub that came with this cooler.
i just ordered it 🙂
Enjoy
I appreciate your tutorial. But man i feel like it could have been trimmed a bit better. Just felt it jumped here and there but overall thank you!
There are timestamps but thanks for the feedback.
thank you for this video, i saw the "large" connector coming off of the heatsink that touches the cpu and i was like oh fuck i don't have a power cablet hat fits that lol ...then you told me its for the controller and i was like...god bless lmao
whats the difference between elite capellix xt and elite capellix?
XT is newer, has different fans and works with AM5 with that new install logic
@@HitemAriania appreciate it, yeah the reliability behind mainstream brands is what I keep coming back to
@@TheProvokedPrawn Awesome! Yeah I tend to find myself siding with bigger brands when it comes to reliability. Thanks!
Can't wait for the nucleus vision to come out
In Corsair documentation for the H170i it says "Connect pump tach cable to the CPU_FAN header on your motherboard (Figure 2)." - howcome you chose AIO_Pump instead, is it only because of the bios "extra steps" corsair chosed CPU_FAN ? Great video btw! :) im collecting my cooler today and installing it this weekend (i9 13900k)
CPU fan is fine to use. I'd just usually use AIO header for AIOs :)
@@TheProvokedPrawn Thank you kind sir
The pump connector brings potentially more current than the cpu fan connector, this way the pump can "pump" faster if required.
Thanks, help me a lot
Great video!
Thanks. Hope you enjoyed enough to subscribe 🦐
I did all that and my lights still don’t turn on
When I was building my PC last december I thought about using a corsair AIO like this one but it would have been the only corsair product in my case and I would have needed to use Icue just for the AIO.
I know what I speek about, baught the 7000x Corsair case and now I find myself watching those videos about the H170i......
why didn't you remove case top instead of removing radiator?!!! its one of best lancool3 features
I'm a lunatic I guess
I have excessive pump noise from my 360 corsair cooler
Corsair pumps are terrible, I had one. The fan blade designs are also pathetic and make excess noise at high speeds.
I guess you have the old H150 from Corsair. They were efficient but really noisy indeed. With the Capelix line it has become just much much better, for both fan and pump noise.
Yoo is that Phanteks Eclipse P600S? 👀
