  • Take a look at the exteriors of the Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna wheelchair vans converted by BraunAbility.
See for yourself which wheelchair van brand looks better to you?
The Toyota Sienna appears to have a taller body lift raising the vehicle leaving a larger wheel well. At the front of the vehicle you can also see more of the engine cradle.
Overall the exterior of the Toyota Sienna wheelchair Van looks good and has nice sharp lines making it look updated.
As with the Honda Odyssey you can not see the modifications from the front of the vehicle. Stretching down the side you beg to see the flares covering the wheelchair vans lowered floor.
The body raise is very minimal and the gap of the wheels in the well look much lower than the Toyota Sienna.
Both feature power in floor ramps that aver very similar in design and the components used to build the wheelchair modifications.

We just traded in a 2014 Sienna for a 2023 Sienna XLE fold out ramp. I am a Toyota person, I do know Toyota works closely with Braun to assist in production to be converted, I do not think Honda has that close relationship. Both Should be good vehicles.

Thanks for sharing. We have thousands of the Toyota Sienna in our market and from a dealer I can say they are very reliable.
Happy roads in your new Toyota Sienna Hybrid.

How do the Braun in floor odysseys hold up over time with rust?

They hold up well. I see the vehicles that have salt on the road and not sand.
Taking time to wash and wipe down door jams when salt is on the road really helps.
BraunAbility do better than most if you complete zero maintenance/elbow grease is taken by owner.
Everything rust including BraunAbility if action is not taken to prevent it from starting.
Most depends on the dealership you use for service. Find a good dealer at BLVD.com who will take the responsibility for you.

American Conversion is so outdated and hideous. In most Asia countries ,these Japanese minivans like toyota alphard, nissan elgrand and honda odyseey have fully automatic entry from the hatch and doesnt need to be lifted like a awful suv crossover lookalike.

Conversion from BraunAbility, VMI, Rollx, AMS offer both side and rear entry conversions.
This video is showing only the side entry. Based on 50 years of manufacturing these vehicles to be wheelchair accessible many would say they are the most reliable and best looking they have ever been.
They offer both wheelchair accessible and seating for 5 able body passengers.
