@OperatorDrewski Ghostrider Don Here; That was the luckiest auto rotation I have seen since Vietnam. A Thunder Chicken gunship crew chief buddy of mine got shot down and hit a" lucky hole" like that to auto rotate into. He and his crew had to be extracted with strings. Ever need an experienced door gunner, I have 300 combat missions on my resume. To our "Fallen Comrades".

It doesn't matter how effective you are in a scout heli, so long as you look cool doing it. It builds a hell of an aesthetic for us on the ground.
Hell yeah. You rarely get that feeling when playing battlefield or call of duty no matter how crazy it gets but when it happens in Arma you get a high.

in the CH-34 if you are sitting in the back you can see the linkage for the cyclic moving through a hole in the bulkhead.

It's the smaller details that really stand out to me and help this DLC feel more "genuine", like how the helo airframe creaks in tighter turns. Such an amazing job they did! Can't wait to see how it (hopefully) develops!
The creaking effect is part of default Arma vehicles, but I agree it is very cool.

My grandfather was stationed at Pleiku. He even helped defend against a VC assault with a .50
That expert landing at the end tho holy crap. Never seen such a lucky landing especially in thick jungle jeeez

This DLC runs shockingly well, even with an older computer, better than regular Arma.

Hope it was just Mike force i tried and not the whole dlc cause man...choppy as hell and hard to enjoy ;( need to upgrade eventually but the base game runs decent for me

I just drop into community servers on this dlc and have had some of the most fun I've had in a shooter, ever. If you're new it takes a long time to get into ARMA, but when you're even slightly comfortable it becomes brilliant. Nothing better than being dropped in with a chopper full, complete a night time AO, and fly back with the sun rising.
No ones talking about how perfect that landing was 6:56

That night was fun being on the ground and watching you doing CAS runs saving our arse's after being surrounded so many times
This looks like so much fun, glad I could catch your stream last night drew.
Couldn't agree more, the oh-6a is incredibly useful especially with a good doorgunner.
Probably the best heli to help out ground forces that are trapped and surrounded in the middle jungle. You can use tiny clearings to get in and have your doorgunner support them directly, without risking to blow up friendlies.
Oh and I greatly enjoyed using it to scout out and then drop red smoke on enemy positions so the big cas guys can unleash hell on them. Great fun :)
We referred to the 2.75 FF flechette rockets as "nails". In the 1st CAV, when I was there, the "Snakes" would prep the LZ with nails just prior to yellow flight landing to eliminate booby traps and spider holes.
They were actually made of not juch more than hardware shop nails as well as if i recall correctly
Anyone who runs is a VC, anyone who stands still is a well disciplined VC

@@nemicofitid3617 It will be free for everyone, better that way anyway. Pretty sure Off World plans on making it a white-listed official mod, so regular servers will be able to run it.

Recomend you keep the chopper 100km max altitude and 100kph max speed for your gunner. Focus on always staying under that and flying smooth and your gunner will be much more successful

I saw a documentary about Vietnam and a pilot who used this heli said that their job usually was to literally get shot at from below to find enemies in the jungle and then they called bigger air support. The bottom was very resistent to enemy fire but at the same time this heli was so cheap to maintain. Balls of steel for sure
