had the pvs-14 when I was in the millitary. the hardest thing is to shoot at something close or at distance but the real deal is when you start to walk thru a dense forest. You like fall over a dosen times and it's the most annoying thing BUT holy crap when youy look up to the clear sky at night jesus that's beautiful.

@@Stop_Elitists_Wars You can get the Gen 2 commercial tubes. It's just way more expensive in Europe than in America or Russia. And that's mainly only because America and Russia produces most of the night vision in the world, so it is to be expected it will be cheaper in those countries than others.

Nvg’s don’t actually make that sound but it doesn’t matter, I still love it so much

In real life that sound is actually very quiet. Like not even noticable. At least for me when I used them.
@@stingraycors_t6455 in real life there is no real sound. Unless you have cheaper infrared type ones with screens. The quad nogs and single monacle one are completely quiet.
There isn’t any moving/mechanical parts besides the mount and lens (sometimes), and would have no reason to make that noise. Plus they run on extremely low power. The monacle one Drew has for example runs on AA batteries.
So if they’re making a noise it’s because they added it for effect. That noise wouldn’t benefit anyone and would hinder its use in military applications.
The end tho, they survived the whole day then crash on exfil😂😂

We do night ops relatively often in my unit. I tell ya, two hours of staring through our comparatively luxurious wide angle nvg's gets old after a while.
Suddenly colour vision becomes this mythical thing you couldn't possibly begin to imagine anymore.
Another Great Op, Thanks for having us! I gotta say this op was a lot more chaotic than the last one which is a very good thing.

USMC has been using Duel for awhile. With MARSOC or Marine Raiders we used our own. I use Armasight BNVD Gen 4

I’m surprised they don’t have a dual tube option for the PVS 14 in this mod. Or even a graphics mod for the existing NVG’s in arma3. The standard NVG’s (not the CTRG or Compact nvg’s) do a good job of showing dual tube FOV

You know, arma does look very realistic when it's nighttime and it ain't spawning Primarchs everywhere.
Yeah its realistic in game to have a small area at the centre of your screen illuminated but then you go ahead and hold rightclick in game and use your go go gadget zoom and enhance eyeballs which completely negates this and makes the whole screen lit up

That's why you get a nvg customized by the manufacturer to accept C mount camera lens. Normal, wide angle, telephoto, it's up to you.

Most people have never seen real gen 2,3 set of nvgs outside of call of duty meaning they've never actually seen how nvgs look to the eye let alone are they smart enough to understand how ambient light works generally. Put on night vision, go into a pitch black room and you won't see anything, that's what IR lights are for, to create ambient light for night vision. That's what a AN/PEQ15 does, it gives you enough ambient light for the night vision to work, that's why it's called an illuminator. Arma is the only game that does this properly with mods.

what is your preferred comms radio channel setup?
I like using a system where everyone has an open channel to mainly listen in to for situational awareness, but where they mainly use direct speak or the small team radio comms.
I find setups where TL needs 3 radios (1 for their squads, one for other TLs, and one for command/SL) arent very effective. I have not found videos on most efficient/effective comms setups at each level - ie for rifle squads, for TL's, for SL's, for commanders, for convoys, for medical, for air support.

What pc specs do i need to run arma 3 on like more then 20 fps? I want to upgrade my processor and I dont know what is good for this game. I have an intel core i3 2120 3.3ghz, nvidia geforce gtx 1050ti msi 4gb, 8 gb ram. I really like the game but its unplayable with 20 fps.
i3 2120 are dual core.
I would try to get a i5 2400 which is a quad core and you just have to replace your cpu.
I would also try and get 8gb more of ram.

When you get your eyes dilated and go outside your basically walking into a flashbang that lasts for around 3 hours trust me iv had it done like 5 or 6 times and you HAVE ITS A HAVE to wear sun glasses but then you still cant open your eyes that uch or that long
