Some of the choices in eduting style reminds me of another awesome channel, Engineering Eternity! I can't believe to have stumbled on such a gem of a channel❤
I think I’ve got it all working thanks to you. I definitely preferred the lighting and fidelity of the ENB we installed many episodes ago. I’ve not experienced enough of the Cathedral weather seasony type stuff yet so maybe it’ll grow on me.
Glad it's working for you! The weathers will grow on you for sure. It clashes with ELFX Exteriors I believe or ENB which prevents certain cycles from working hence shifting it around. But the storms are my favourite. They're fantastic!
@@ADHDecent The weathers are indeed growing on me. I can’t stop fiddling with the filter options though. You haven’t included it in your guide but I got ‘Precision’ the combat collision overhaul rocking and it’s made a wonderful contribution to this overhauled Skyrim, will you make more of these guides aimed at dressing up the visuals or gameplay further? You’ve assembled a fantastic base to work from so far.
I wish it was so easy, Dyndolod 3 gives a massive fuckton of errors over the most minor issues when actually generating the lods. Dyndolod 2 was much, much more tolerant of minor issues. With Dyndolod 3 every fucking plugin needs to be cleaned with tesedit for the damn thing even to work.
For real this shit is absolutely terrible, I had to redirect my registry for it because I have separate installs. It was giving me errors on literal creation club shit like an east empire chest, errors out the ass and it just closes. Like in not gonna clean that damn plugin just to see a little further and I’m not using the old version because I’m not tryna update my Skyrim just for that shit

@@mr-gummi for sure. Download the latest version of SSEedit. Run the SSEEditQuickAutoClean exe and select the plugin you want cleaned and double click it. It'll do its thing for a few minutes and tell you what has been carried forward and what not. Hit save and move onto the next plugin. Even then LODgen will spit errors that you'll never even find in game most of the time. If I use obsidian fogs and cathedral landscapes ill get hundreds of warnings during LODgen even after cleaning plugins and making sure LOD textures are all matching. I can verify textures are in the right locations manually but LODgen will still throw errors and the actual atlas will look fine in game despite all the warnings about missing textures and deleted references/objects.
Just ignore Dyndolod and any mod that requires it. It is clearly not aimed at us modding illiterates, and I refuse to spend 5 hours per mod to fix all the errors.
@@broadsidedarth7801 it doesn’t work perfectly in every case, clearly. No one said it was Decent’s fault dude you can relax. I skipped this video and was still able to finish a great mod list that worked fine
Excellent video as always. Any chance you can make a follow-up Dyndolod video with common errors that happen and how to overcome them, using the advanced options, what they do, and tweaking it according to your VRAM fps capabilities Please?
DynDOLOD 3 alpha gets very snippy about the Cathedral weathers update, and also refuses to run without cleaned masters of the main game files (which you've said not to do)
Pretty please PLEASE do a guise with community shaders my friend!! Instead of ENB, would be amazing to see how to make it all work with dyndolod and the rest of your mod list. Cheers !!
Hey, awesome video. Can you perhaps make a guide/explanation of the differences between LodGen, TexGen, and DynDOLOD? I'm a bit confused about the function of those three and in what order one should run the programs. I'm actually using a wabbajack modlist with pre-configured LODs and wish to regenerate these 3 things as I added new environment mods. Thanks!
I am humbled by your efforts with this series. Absolutely incredible work. I am very new to this process and less than a novice when it comes to computer science. Your videos have been a godsend and I will be encouraging my friends to look into them. What is the significance of .NET framework and .Net Runtime in the context of this video?
Maybe I'm overthinking this, but there's so many options when downloading the .NET stuff. I think the .NET 6.0 specifically is important, go down to that, and there's arm64, x64, and x86 options. The 4.8 framework also has a couple options, but I'm assuming you'd need the runtime for that. But is 6.0 for the first one important, or should I get the latest? Thank you so much for this guide though, it's been an actual life saver. I don't think I'd have continued trying to mod without something like these videos. Edit: Never mind lmao, Google is your friend, people. The options just related to your OS, and to top it all off, I already had all of the prereqs installed -_- Fingers crossed!
So I recently upgraded to Windows 11. I believe Google says I already have Net 4.8 What about the net 6.0? How do you know if it's already installed or not?
@@Lil_Bugbear you could try searching for programs on your computer, I’m not in front of mine so I can’t tell you exactly what you need to do. But if it comes down to it, try installing it. It’ll pop up with something that says you’ve got the same version or a newer version if it’s installed. That’s how I figured out I already had them :’)
I just opened the brew... Damn, i'll need a new crate very soon. 😂 As always, a great video! It's just really fun to follow your guide - with a fantastic result. 👍 I just have one more request: could you show/post the load order of the mods with the current status? Thank you for this, after all this time modding Skyrim I finally understand how to use DynDOLOD. Am I right in thinking once I do the final build I would need delete the 2 x outputs and run it again to cover any changes?
Thank you so much, I love your tutorials! Could you please make a guide for installing DynDOLOD on Skyrim AE GOG? I’ve been trying to get it to work but haven't had any luck.
no matter what I do, I keep getting a "DynDOLOD Resources SE version could not be found, verify correct installation" pop-up everytime. anyone know a fix?
@ hey Brodie, so what actually ended up working for me was completely deleting everything of Skyrim from all folders. Redownload a completely new instance of Skyrim and make sure to install it to a drive you’re gonna install everything to. From there just reinstall all your mods (the sucky part) then retry the DynDOLOD. It’s because the dyndolod was scanning for the resource in a different drive that already had existing Skyrim information.. I moved my game to a different drive before hand so it caused problems but, it was fixed once I deleted everything about Skyrim and reinstalling it onto the one drive I want Skyrim and putting the dyndolod on the same drive as the Skyrim. Hope that helps
Nice tutorial, but what do you mean by "Modding hub folder"? there are so many folders when using the mod organizer. Can you tell us which one exactly?
I've never left a comment before in all my years - your tutorials are great in fact the best ive seen. I still have two questions about compatibility: immersive weapons and immersive armors as well as cloaks of skyrim and apocolypse magic with the modlist from this series are those mods compatible? And is trial and error going to ruin any other files if I start playing with adding more mods?
I really appreciate your support thank you. Means the world and I'm glad it's helping! I'm not sure without being at my desk but I'd say just trial and error it as they shouldn't interfere
Great video as always. I've spend days trying to reduce shadow pop-in that happens when you arrive near a lod with DynDOLOD (happens expecially with trees). Large tree options with DLL NG can reduce the pop in effect of the trees models, but is quite performance expensive and dosn't fix the shadow problem. Considering that we're not using any ENB (so no ENB distant shadows), any ideas? I'm using Communiry Shader with the Screen Space Shadow for lods shadows, but dosn't do myracles and the pop-in it's still here
You helped me a lot in my modding, a series of videos essential to mod skyrim today. I just have a small question; with the new version "DLL NG and script", should we keep the other two mods (DLL Scrpits & DLL SE - SKSE Plugin) or can we keep all three? If we have to keep them, where would you advise me to place DLL NG in my load order? Thanks in advance!

LOVE this series! Only series I've used where I didn't get stuck. I feel like you actually teach me how to do this and mod my game by myself. Do you plan on doing a video for xLODGen? I want to install Seasons of Skyrim and Turn of the seasons but this part has me intimidated
Help I'm stuck. OneDrive doesn't exist on my PC and it was one of the first things I uninstalled because it bothered me. and I never cared about it for years until now. until this exact video. I did it step by step like he did until he showed the start of: TexGenx64 from there I get the error: Installation path not allowed. C:\Users\MyName\Downloads\Modding Tools\DynDOLOD\ Reason: user profile: C\Users\MyName. AND I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM I don't know what exactly he wants from me. and the video doesn't deal with this problem and I can't find a clear solution Online. everyone tells me to remove OneDrive or not use it. but I don't have OneDrive on my PC so I don't understand what the problem is help.
So problem, when I try to run TexGenx64 I get a complaint saying installation path not allowed. “C:\Users\Username\Games\Skyrim Moddings\DynDolod\. If I understand their site it’s because DynDolod doesn’t like installing stuff under a user. So, how do I fix this? Is there a way to move my entire modding folder out of my user profile path, would doing that break anything? Can I get DynDolod to ignore it? Or did I just mess up at the very start of installing Skyrim? Edit: copied my Skyrim modding folder into a file path not under users and fixed my file paths. This got TextGen work but now DynDolod complains there are uncleaned files when I try to run it. Was cleaning files done in a previous video that I missed or did copying MO2 cause this?
Well... This is really really late but you didn't have to move your entire modding folder. You should've just cut and paste the dyndolod folder to maybe the root which is C: I had a similar issue saying it won't work because the folder was in the steam game folder, I placed the dyndolod folder inside C: and it worked. As for the uncleaned files, a lot of mods have it, even the official files/DLC files/Creation Club files have it. There's been a lot of debate whether or not to clean these files, but consensus now seems to be cleaning whichever plugin LOOT tells you to clean. I recommend "Batch Plugin Cleaner for Mod Organizer" you'll need SSEEDIT within MO2. Just sayin' this, in case someone stumbles upon this.
SO I JUST FOLLOWED YOUR MOST EXECELENT GUIDE TIL DYNODOLOD WHEN EVIDENTLY I HAVE MADE A MISTAKE BECAUSE MY GAME WILL NOT LAUNCH ANY MORE . ANY IDEA HOW TO FIX .

I have a problem with trees using dyndolod. There are some that look like they are from PlayStation 1 games, they are all square, do you have any suggestions?

I really appreciate it thank you! I'm glad I've been able to help you on your modding journey! Your support means the world to me. Its on the list actually! :)
This saved me HOURS of work
Thank you so much!!!
You're very welcome! Happy modding! :)
I'm following your guide as a newbie, you were the most helpful so far! I want to let you know how much it is appreciated 🙏
I'm honored. Thank you so much for your words and support it means the world!
Some of the choices in eduting style reminds me of another awesome channel, Engineering Eternity!
I can't believe to have stumbled on such a gem of a channel❤
I'm honored! Thank you so much for your kind words and motivation. I can't express how much it means to me!
Thank you for this guide ! I was super lost on how to install it lol
You're very welcome :)
Awesome job, I was out on the fence with this one. Time for a brew .
Thank you Anthony! Means alot! Enjoy a brew!
Finally a guide which is not outdated and actually works. Any chance you could do a guide on grass LODs?
ADHD comes it clutch once again. This man never misses!
@@thomaskelley6521 cleaning a plugin takes a few seconds. Why complain for months over a few seconds worth of work? You guys are just blowing shit out of proportion.
@@lucideuphoria7092 I am trying to follow this guide today, and got errors about cleaning files that seems to be what you're discussing. I have no idea how to do that, though. Will you please point me in the right direction?
@@mr-gummi for sure. Download the latest version of SSEedit. Run the SSEEditQuickAutoClean exe and select the plugin you want cleaned and double click it. It'll do its thing for a few minutes and tell you what has been carried forward and what not. Hit save and move onto the next plugin.
Even then LODgen will spit errors that you'll never even find in game most of the time. If I use obsidian fogs and cathedral landscapes ill get hundreds of warnings during LODgen even after cleaning plugins and making sure LOD textures are all matching. I can verify textures are in the right locations manually but LODgen will still throw errors and the actual atlas will look fine in game despite all the warnings about missing textures and deleted references/objects.
grat vid, cant imagine completing the proces without ur help thx
Thank you so much for your kind words. I really appreciate you
😭 after all this time . Thank you!
You're welcome! Enjoy!
This man deserve more likes/subs...
Thanks @ADHDecent !!!!
thank you for this clear guide!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the video, much appreciated.
After following every video up to this point, this is the one that broke my game 😢 Had to start over from scratch. Not sure what went wrong
Same happened to me. it just doesn't work with the current version as it's shown in this video.
Just ignore Dyndolod and any mod that requires it. It is clearly not aimed at us modding illiterates, and I refuse to spend 5 hours per mod to fix all the errors.
Don't use loot🫣 order plugins manually
The guide works perfectly. I've used this exact process about 50 times now on a custom 2000 mod list.
@@broadsidedarth7801 it doesn’t work perfectly in every case, clearly. No one said it was Decent’s fault dude you can relax. I skipped this video and was still able to finish a great mod list that worked fine
You absolute SAINT! Thank you!
I really appreciate you thank you! Happy I could help!
I highly recommend a fallout Nv or 4 moding playlist similar to your Skyrim series with the recent player surge with the release of the show.
I'll be sure to look into it thanks!
best dyndolod tutorial
Thx for that
thank you so much I appreciate the support!
MOST EPIC TUTORIAL EVER
Really appreciate it thank you!!!
Hail to our modding god. Thank you❤
I'm honored ❤️ you're too kind!
Perfect guide, thank you!
You're very welcome!
Excellent video as always. Any chance you can make a follow-up Dyndolod video with common errors that happen and how to overcome them, using the advanced options, what they do, and tweaking it according to your VRAM fps capabilities Please?
Appreciate it! It's something I can look at for future sure :)
Great tutorial, thanks!
Don't forget to clean up your plugins beforehand, otherwise you'll most likely get an error when trying to generate LODs.
Hi i get overflow eror can you help me 😢😢😢😢😢🙏🙏🙏
DynDOLOD 3 alpha gets very snippy about the Cathedral weathers update, and also refuses to run without cleaned masters of the main game files (which you've said not to do)
Pretty please PLEASE do a guise with community shaders my friend!! Instead of ENB, would be amazing to see how to make it all work with dyndolod and the rest of your mod list. Cheers !!
Subscribed!
I appreciate you thank you!
With the recent update to dyndollod could we get a process on how to properly update
Mucho appreciotado my bromosapien!
Thank you very very much! Great tutorial
You're very welcome! Appreciate the support!
Can you do a tutorial like this for LODGen as well? This tutorial is a life saver 🙏your vids help so much
Maybe I'm overthinking this, but there's so many options when downloading the .NET stuff.
Glad you're enjoying!
@@ADHDecent definitely! And it looks so good now! Almost didn’t use DynDOLOD, but it was bugging me having things pop in. Keep doing what you do!
So I recently upgraded to Windows 11. I believe Google says I already have Net 4.8
What about the net 6.0?
How do you know if it's already installed or not?
@@Lil_Bugbear you could try searching for programs on your computer, I’m not in front of mine so I can’t tell you exactly what you need to do. But if it comes down to it, try installing it. It’ll pop up with something that says you’ve got the same version or a newer version if it’s installed. That’s how I figured out I already had them :’)
I got a ton of error and warning messages during the last operation.I have no idea if this will work or not.
how come you dont have 100k Subs??????
Fekkin right!? I've been sharing this series with all my friends that play Skyrim.
Really means the world to have your support I am very grateful thank you!
Ayyyyyy it's the boi
I'm your red-haired best friend btw lol in game :p
I just opened the brew... Damn, i'll need a new crate very soon. 😂 As always, a great video! It's just really fun to follow your guide - with a fantastic result. 👍 I just have one more request: could you show/post the load order of the mods with the current status? I've been following your guide from the beginning, but I'm not quite sure if I've really got everything in the right order. Thanks a lot, mate! 🙏 🤜🤛
I really appreciate your support thank you so much for your kind words. I'm actually really happy to hear that you are finding them fun to follow. That's what I'm trying incredibly hard to do. It can be dull. It can be long and tedious and I want to make it so they're interesting at the same time. So that means a lot. I'll sort a list out when I have a moment and post it in the comments :)
@@ADHDecent I think your approach is really great - it works perfectly for me. You can feel the passion and care. And thank you in advance for your effort! 🙏✌️
I'm honored. Thank you
Thank you for this, after all this time modding Skyrim I finally understand how to use DynDOLOD. Am I right in thinking once I do the final build I would need delete the 2 x outputs and run it again to cover any changes?
Glad i could help! Correct. towards the end it'll go back to the point of updating these should you make changes :)
Thank you!
Thank you so much, I love your tutorials! Could you please make a guide for installing DynDOLOD on Skyrim AE GOG? I’ve been trying to get it to work but haven't had any luck.
10 hrs later, I managed to make it work!
Amazing news!
no matter what I do, I keep getting a "DynDOLOD Resources SE version could not be found, verify correct installation" pop-up everytime. anyone know a fix?
Pls let me know when you got the solution pls
@@mikeywonda OMG ill try it later, thank you so much
Nice tutorial, but what do you mean by "Modding hub folder"? there are so many folders when using the mod organizer. Can you tell us which one exactly?
It's part of The Complete Guide. We created a folder where all of our installations go for easy access
Getting an error that says resources se version information not found. Verify correct installation
I'm having the same problem
I do all this but I do it with Vortex. So vortex users you can use vortex so don’t worry that people only make MO2 videos we got ya back!
I'm using Communiry Shader with the Screen Space Shadow for lods shadows, but dosn't do myracles and the pop-in it's still here
DynDOLOD could not find my ini file. You DO need to put "-sse" for Skyrim Special/Anniversary Edition in the Arguments box.
have the same problem did find away to fix it
You helped me a lot in my modding, a series of videos essential to mod skyrim today. I just have a small question; with the new version "DLL NG and script", should we keep the other two mods (DLL Scrpits & DLL SE - SKSE Plugin) or can we keep all three? If we have to keep them, where would you advise me to place DLL NG in my load order?
Thanks in advance!
Is there any difference between running loot in this manner versus using the "Sort" button in the Plugins tab?
So do I need to have all city expansions and landscape textures downloaded before I run dyndolod?
Can you PLEASE make a guide for vortex users too?
I have a question here. There is an option in Fabled Forest to add 3d DYNDOLOD. Shouldn't it be checked?
thanks for the tutorial and i'd like to give it a try again but I'm still unsure how to address the errors when trying to generate the dyndolod output
I have GOG version and it fails at running the TexGen with registry issue. Tried some stuff from internet, like adding -sse to shortcuts targets, using dyndolod from different locations. Nothing works
dude i figured it out! you have to add the command line in your MOD MANAGER. i was trying to add it with CMD and getting all types of errors
@@artymusoke1352 Did that too, din't work either. But thanks for a clue
@@Caddiar47 which version of Skyrim you running, and which mod manager? There’s a lot do streps in this vid, even if you miss 1 it could spell disaster
@@artymusoke1352 i did everything in the video like 10 times.
My my Skyrim version is the one before last update. I use MO2
CURRENT MOD PRIORITY
- Do not mistake this for LOAD ORDER - Mod Priority applies to the LH Pane of MO2
The order is constantly being tested by me. I am moving stuff around all the time to find that sweet spot.
There is no answer other than experience and testing as every mod you add may mean a different priority.
Anyway, here's the current priority list which I have copied by hand so apologies if there are typos

@eklaenge you're welcome! Yes! You might say it's the perfect time for one! ;)
Have you deleted Lanterns of Skyrim?
@@Mark_Garbo61 yes, ADHDecent mentionend the reason in one of the guides videos in the comment-section
Thank you, missed that.
I have followed your guide to the letter,But when running DynDOLODx64 It gives me a error message "Found Plocktons culling Glitch Fix.esp. I have no idea how to fix this Please help
Any texture overhauls that wont destroy your PC that aren't overkill??? I can't do 4k, but HD is fine for me... Wouldnt mind using some 3D Rendering models though. Running on a i7 8700k, GTX 1660 Super, 24 GB Ram, 1TB SSD. Ty. :)
Finally I can install this! The official guide is such a shit... I never understand it. Thank you.
glad I could help! I struggled to follow other guides too i must admit so I wanted to create this to break it down and be as clear as possible
LOVE this series! Only series I've used where I didn't get stuck. I feel like you actually teach me how to do this and mod my game by myself.
Do you plan on doing a video for xLODGen?
I want to install Seasons of Skyrim and Turn of the seasons but this part has me intimidated
Glad you're enjoying! Dyndolod is essentially improved xLodgen
Help I'm stuck.
OneDrive doesn't exist on my PC and it was one of the first things I uninstalled because it bothered me. and I never cared about it for years until now. until this exact video. I did it step by step like he did until he showed the start of: TexGenx64 from there I get the error:
Installation path not allowed.
C:\Users\MyName\Downloads\Modding Tools\DynDOLOD\
Reason: user profile: C\Users\MyName.
I followed every single step, but i CAN STILL see the grass loading few metres away :(
should dyndolod generally overwrite stuff like ELFX, SMIM and assorted mesh fixes?
sadly my game shuts down without any error message after running SKSE. How am I be able to find the source of this behaviour?
I dont get the Save and Zip options after running TexGen
ANY IDEA HOW TO FIX .
has anyone ever experience when a dyndolod works outside a city but on the inside the LOD doesn't generate
I am using the classic NMM. I don't know what to do in the MO2 section 👀
Question to anyone who might know. By Environment Mods, is it Trees and Flora, Grass, Landscape Textures and overall texture aios like Skyland or 202X?
Does it include city and town retextures/add-ons like JK’s Skyrim or just the former I listed?
Do I need a GTX 4060 to run this, or with a 1050 is enough to put it in maxim settings?
ADORO O JEITO QUE ELE EXPLICA COMO SE EU TIVESSE O Q.I. DE UMA AMEBA 😍
Are the thousands of warnings and errors normal when running dyndolod?
I have a problem with trees using dyndolod. There are some that look like they are from PlayStation 1 games, they are all square, do you have any suggestions?
WHEN I RUN DynDOLOD.exe
and error pops up (FOUND PLOCKTONS CULLING GLITCHES FIX.EXP)
any idea why
I have a problem. The textGen output is not showing up in my DynDOLOD folder when I press zip and exit after Textgenx64 runs all the information. Am I doing anything wrong?
