I actually had a few items show up in the overwrite section: meshes, nemesis engine, scripts and then the SKSE that you had in your video. Any suggestions? Overwrite is still red for me after following what you've done so far
If it's still relevant and you have situation same as me, overwrite is files which are uploaded (but not added) to those you already have (but they're not the same files) with already existance path you have by previous downloads (as I understand). I could guess you either skipped step in guide part 5, because these Overwrite of yours is actually same files we moved to manually created mod "Nemesis Output" back in there; or you have close situation to mine. So in my situation I had folder Nemesis_Engine, MCM in Overwrite, unlike in authors step, with SKSE same as author. In folder Nemesis_Engine was just one file horse.behavior, that had same path as other behaviors and same file type in same folder we moved to mod Nemesis Output, so I just added this one file manually (seems fine and logic). Same with MCM folder, which is located in MCM Helper mod, except folder was empty, but these .ini files where settings I changed in Skyrim Mod Helper window and should be here. So if you have files in Overwrite with some pathing to your mods, just check them through MO2 Instances, where you should have all these Mod Organizer files following guide, and add them manually, if there's no such files alredy, through folder or MO2 Interface, as author did. Hope I've made some sense)
@@salVVel I SLIGHTY UNDERSTAND WITH THE NEMISIS ONES IF YOU LOOK DEEP IN THE COMMENTS YOU CAN SEE SOMONE ASKED THIS AND AUTHOR SAID IN NEMISIS DROP DOWN YOU CAN EDIT IT TO CREATE MOD IN FILES BUT CAN PUT THEM IN NEMISIS OOUTPUT MANUALLY THEN EVERYTIME YOU RUN SOMETHING NEW THROUGH IT ITLL AUTOMATICALLY PUT IT THERE. HOWEVER FOR MCM YOUR BASICLLY SAYING TO DROP IT INTO MCM HELPER?
Great videos! I've always been too daunted to get into modding before, but I've followed this series for my first ever modding success! I wanted to throw it out there because I found this question unanswered on reddit: after setting-up the ENB as in this video I received the error "ENBSEries compiling shaders, please wait \\ Delete enbcache folder if preset's files are modified or on d3d11.dll update". It looked like the game would not open, but I happened to leave it on this screen while I was looking for solutions and after about 5 minutes it started working. So if you have this error, do as said, and be *very* patient.
Oh come on i'm already at the end... :( please the next video ^^ !!! Thanks it's really good quality tutorial. I really really want this works for me. I have two things to say : use that damn SKSE and nemesis shortcuts you created^^ and you can press "shift" to move several mod at once.
A little over an hour away :-) glad you’re enjoying it! There’s a few things I do which may seem counter-intuitive but it’s to help everyone become used to using the different features and functions. It’ll get more fluid as it progresses :-)
I once tried to install ENB's by myself and it crushed my game and lagged it so hard I came into the conclusion that ENB's are for high end PC's, little did I know I installed it incorrectly, thank you for the guide!
I have a beast of a computer but I'll probably skip enb because adding enb's just overly complicates modding skyrim, you can find non enb mods that make it look good as is.
i have tried modding this game 3 times and each time something breaks and i try to fix it only to quit but thanks to you i will have my first modded playthrough
yo quick question, when I come to the point at 3:46 where I click overwrite. There are more items in my overwrite such as folders named meshes, Nemesis_Engine, Scripts and below those is the SKSE>Plugins>etc. Do I move them all to nemesis output or just the SKSE and sub items?
@@Bly_B287 i did end up copying ALL the files over and it seemed to work. i ran into a new issue though in that i have a huge bottleneck with my gpu being too old for my cpu to the point that any ENB drops me below 24 fps. piggy bank time i guess.
@@Arnvassetto Ryzen 7 3700x, Radeon RX 6650 XT, 24GB DDR4. I recently discovered i have a bottleneck between my CPU and GPU. Which I only looked into because when I tried to use any ENB my fps dropped below 24 and became unplayable. Looking to upgrade my GPU when I have the cash.
@ADHDecent over the past couple years I tried 3 or 4 times to get enbs to work and never came across a video that helped ,so you're a diamond among the marbles🤝
Thanks for the great video. Few suggestions would be to briefly explain what other options are available and what is difference between each. Quick question:Regarding overwrite folder, how to configure such that any update done directly in mod folder and not in overwrite folder as i don't know which mod to copy and paste.
There is a way to configure this on MO2 but I am unsure if you can choose different locations for different files. I believe the option is to put them into a single mod folder of your choice. I will look into this
i've tried to download this like he has but i've messed up pretty badly, all it says is "incompatible medal.exe. exiting..." and im so lost is anyone able to help?
Hey, I've had the same issue for a while and it took a bit to finally figure it out. Glad to say I did figure it out and the issue is that if you have red dead redemption 2 or medal tv, those two apps run medal.exe. For me the issue was I had medal tv so all I did was just shutdown the program while running Skyrim with ENB. Hopefully this helps if you haven't found out how to fix it.
@@ADHDecent Awesome! Crossing my fingers and toes that at least it can handle it well enough for a demo on how to actually get it working, Or if possible a way to get the distant looking slightly better if DynDOLOD is to heavy is an option. o.o Have tried several times but most of the tutorials are for advanced modders, and its a lot of reading, which makes it hard for me to actually understand what I am doing. XD
I downloaded every files and placed them how you showed on the video but everytime I press start on the SKSE it does not load. ENB prevents SKSE from loading and I dont know why.
I came to the comments as I have the same issue. There was nothing there for Open Animations, but I have 3 that are called "meshes", "Nemesis_Engine" and "scripts", I don't know what they belong to and so am hesitant to move them into the Nemesis Output files. In "meshes" there's 1 item called "attack behaviors" so it might belong in Nemesis Output, but I don't want to screw it up by guessing
Do we not have to make an .ini file updates or something, to our grass and anti-aliasing or allocated some odd math for our memory/graphics card? I get conflicting things from the internet so I am having ENB anxiety at this point. Haha.
It depends on the ENB, and some ENB presets also make those tweaks for you automatically. I imagine for this video he chose a rather simple ENB that didn't require tweaks like that, but some ENBs have a tom more requirements and are much more complicated.
@@ADHDecent I've alredy installed without making a pre-enb folders following your old enb tutorial sir , is it okay ? 😢 can i remove the enb back again ? Cuz its dropping my fps from 59 to 21 any tips sir ? 😢
@Jempolzz ah I see. I’d say check out the ENB removal video I have and see if you can start over again. After removal, launch the game and see if it will update the INI files. Otherwise you can go on steam and “Check Validity of Game Files” which will reset all files in directory without it touching the mods. You will need to reinstall SKSE again though as that’s in the game directory
@@ADHDecent Roger that Sir thank you so much . Anyway ive follow some of your tutorial wich is very awesome. ive download cbbe , animation as per your video guide sorry for not being patience to wait for 7th episode just get too excited for modding and follow all your guide video 😂
i followed your guide and now i have no ground or character in my game, just blue feat and some of the boxes and barrels. alot of the stuff is just a shade of blue now
well i did somethimg wrong i think. Everytime i start skyrim through SKSE in MO2 , I get a black screen with music for a long while after pressing start new game. When i quit the application all my mod plugins in MO2 are unchecked. Any ideas anyone? Thought Ive been following along exactly how the series has gone. no extra mods
My Overwrite folder is red with (meshes),(Nemesis_Enigne),(scripts),(SKSE), and I followed everything including moving the Openanimation files to the Nemesis Output Mod, and I still have the notification that I have folders in my Overwrite Folder. Please help.
Thanks for this vid. I learned a lot from it. Why did you put the two OAR generated ini files from Overwrite into nemesis output? OAR has its own plugins folder - and these 2 files are created after running the game following OAR installation. So, shouldn't they be put in OAR/SKSE/Plugins folder instead?
This is entirely up to you. The guide can be used as a starting point, or as a completed build as I continue to build it. If you do install your own mods then the guide may look a little different to your own build and you may encounter other errors from conflicts for example that the guide will not. But ultimately it is up to you :)
This is the first time I’ve heard of this. If I had to guess, you didn’t launch Skyrim AE at least once BEFORE installing your modding tools. You need to run Skyrim at least once first as it needs to generate the config files and download the AE content before you attempt to mod the game. That would be my guess anyway :-)
@@ADHDecent Funny thing is I did launch it but I didn’t make a save or anything. After correcting the override i launched it again and created a test save. Now it works fine 😀👍. I’m any case thank you for replying 😁 I need to be more attentive in the future 😅
Please help! I get to the part where the overwrite folder is in red but when I open it; instead of showing the open animation replacer problems you have, it's showing: meshes> actors Nemesis Engine> temp_behaviors scripts> FNIS_aa.pex Nemesis_AA_ Core.pex I literally just following step by step, so I have no idea what this means and don't want to make the wrong move here. Should I just continue along with the same actions for the overwrite folder or something else?
Hello, thanks for this series! It's helped a bunch. I installed the enb just as you did. When in game, everything is blinking and then gets really pixilated. Could it be because I used the best quality as you did and my pc can't handle it?
This is an amazing series, thank you. I added ENB and suddenly there's this strange graphics hitch. Whenever I move or use the mouse, at the end of the movement there's a slight correction the other way. It looks like I'm staggering. It immediately goes away when I turn off ENB. I play in first person, so didn't download the mods for 3rd person animation. Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you so much for these tutorials and all the hard work!!!! Everything is going perfectly, but I have a question. I moved the folders to the nemesis output mod, but my Overwrite folder still looks red. In addition to the SKSE folder I also have the meshes, Nemesis_Engine and Scripts folders. It's this a problem?
Empty folders can be deleted after you have moved the files to the correct location (I believe Overwrite only moves files and leaves folders in place) Ensure they're empty first though.
At 3:57, is it fine if I placed these like this instead? Right-clicked on overwite and placed contents into open animation replacer instead of Nemesis Output.
im grateful for the video but I have a doubt, why did you only copy paste 2 dll files of the enb files instead of everything, are those files not important?
@ADHDecent Marvelous tutorials. really great. Just a little question with ENB Helper. I have game version 1.6.117.0 and your installing the ENB Helper SE 2.2 for 1.6.629. Should I not install the ENB Helper SE Updated for version 1.6.117.0
@@ADHDecent Thanks for the quick response. I just installed the 1.6.117.0 version as I said above. And the game glitches as it flickers . With the 1.6.629 version, my movements are really slow and the mouse sensitivity is terrible. Can I do without ENB?

But thanks to you, my load order isn't chaos, anymore, and I cannot overstate how awesome this guide was. I deleted my entire modlist over a hundred mods and decided to start fresh. You Sir, are a godsend. Seriously, I cannot express my gratitude enough. I have subscribed and liked thank you again
I'm honored. Thank you so much for your incredibly kind words. It means the world to me and I'm so glad I've been able to help! I look forward to sharing what's in store!
First time everything is working to my modded skyrim! Thank you so much for it!!
You’re very welcome! Glad I can help!
Thank you so much :( The BEST content ever. Im glad i came onto your channel. You are awesome. Thank you. Saved me from massive headaches and frustration. Please keep releasing. Its like im watching a drama; i cant wait for the next episode. THANK YOU.
Im not touching any more mods until youre done with this series
I am truly honoured Martin, thank you so much for your incredibly kind words. I appreciate you! Looking forward to sharing more!
Great video as always! No big change in the editting, just another great tutorial
I really appreciate that thank you :-) means a lot!
Amazing guy, your tutorial, thank you very much, I looked a lot until I found you, I'm Brazilian but most of the tutorials are horrible and don't explain anything, yours is perfect, thank you very much.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Means alot to me. Greetings to Brazil from Denmark!
Thank for this video, mate. Frickin' Legendary
Really appreciate that mate thank you! Means a hell of a lot!
Pro-Tip: If you want to use the enb windows without controlling the game, open the console with the '~' key and enter the command 'tm'. Then press Alt+Enter to open the enb menu. After you exit the enb menu, type 'tm' again (you won't see anything) and press enter. Now press '~' to close the console window.
Those are the best video i hope you add a lot more mods all the section you made me crate i really hope you fill them all
Working on it! ;-)
Great series, thank you. Video looked great. Trying to learn Resolve too.
Resolve I think will be a change I’ll look back on and think it was the best editing decision I’ve made. 8 years is a lot time spent on tricks and experience that isn’t really transferable though. So it’s hard at the moment aha
always the best, I can't wait to continue with this
I really appreciate your kind words thank you!
You are a saint. Try to get back into skyrim mods with my new pc after 5+ years without touching the game/mods.❤❤❤❤
So glad I could help! Appreciate your kind words!
Hello man, thanks for the amazing tutorials everything worked perfectly fine
Amazing news! :-) more to come! Happy modding
I demand more videos in a week 😅
XD hopefully that day will come… as soon as I can afford to, I’ll be on it! :-)
Nice job!! Everything work perfect till now. I'm trying to add combat mod alone but still getting error, look so complicated without your guide XD
Glad you’re enjoying them so far! More to come. Combat included ;-)
Thanks for the amazing tutorial, waiting for the next vid!
You’re welcome! Appreciate the kind words! Next one coming soon :-)
Damn. finally 👏 and This is [[[[[ THE BEST GUIDE FOR MODDING SKYRIM ]]]]] since im started modding in 2022 and watch all others confusing GUIDE🤣 I cant wait what next episode. im so excited for modding now 😇
Thank you! Really appreciate your kind words :-) means a lot. Looking forward to sharing many more!
Yay you reused Hymn to the Gods, I thought I would be saying farewell to that in the 3rd Part
Not at all! I made sure to include it ;-)
I'm so stupid. When he said "Close your browser" i actually closed my browser with this video.
"This is what you've been waiting for. Take your time; listen carefully. You've got this."
Oh snap, he about to install OSTI --
"ENB."
...uh, Ostensibly one of the most important graphical improvements, yeah.
Seriously, this is a great series, taking your time and explaining the why, instead of just the how, has made watching these worth it. So thank you.
😂👌🏼 brilliant! Sadly I don’t think YT would approve of an OS guide.
Thank you so much for your kind words and support I’m forever grateful to you. I’m really happy to hear these help :-)
@@salVVel I kinda don't get it. I have a meshes, nemesis_engine, scripts, and SKSE folder in the overwrite folder. Which ones go where?
Appreciate your kind words thank you! :-)
Can't wait for the next video
Looking forward to sharing!
@ent Thanks ! Can't wait for the next one. I mean like really, it's good, very good. It's like so clear and easy to follow.
I once tried to install ENB's by myself and it crushed my game and lagged it so hard I came into the conclusion that ENB's are for high end PC's, little did I know I installed it incorrectly, thank you for the guide!
You're welcome! Appreciate the support!
I have a beast of a computer but I'll probably skip enb because adding enb's just overly complicates modding skyrim, you can find non enb mods that make it look good as is.
You're the man, bro.
Great video! Quick question, are you going to show how to install the mod to re enable achievements?
Nice job, can you show how to install legacy of dragonborn SSE?
I will make a note of it for this series :-)
tnk alot man love you @@ADHDecent
i have tried modding this game 3 times and each time something breaks and i try to fix it only to quit but thanks to you i will have my first modded playthrough
Amazing news! So glad you stuck with it! I appreciate the support!
yo quick question, when I come to the point at 3:46 where I click overwrite. There are more items in my overwrite such as folders named meshes, Nemesis_Engine, Scripts and below those is the SKSE>Plugins>etc. Do I move them all to nemesis output or just the SKSE and sub items?
Same issue, did you ever figure out a solution?
@@Bly_B287 i did end up copying ALL the files over and it seemed to work. i ran into a new issue though in that i have a huge bottleneck with my gpu being too old for my cpu to the point that any ENB drops me below 24 fps. piggy bank time i guess.
@@RoccCreative What are your pc specs?
@@Arnvassetto Ryzen 7 3700x, Radeon RX 6650 XT, 24GB DDR4. I recently discovered i have a bottleneck between my CPU and GPU. Which I only looked into because when I tried to use any ENB my fps dropped below 24 and became unplayable. Looking to upgrade my GPU when I have the cash.
THANK YOU!!!
You’re welcome! :-)
Just amazing thank you
Appreciate it! :)
@ADHDecent over the past couple years I tried 3 or 4 times to get enbs to work and never came across a video that helped ,so you're a diamond among the marbles🤝
I'm honored thank you. Means the world. Really glad I've been able to help. Look forward to sharing more!
I will look into this
@@ADHDecentThanks for your reply.
i've tried to download this like he has but i've messed up pretty badly, all it says is "incompatible medal.exe. exiting..." and im so lost is anyone able to help?
Hey, I've had the same issue for a while and it took a bit to finally figure it out. Glad to say I did figure it out and the issue is that if you have red dead redemption 2 or medal tv, those two apps run medal.exe. For me the issue was I had medal tv so all I did was just shutdown the program while running Skyrim with ENB. Hopefully this helps if you haven't found out how to fix it.
This was way easier than the first time I tried installing an ENB o.o
Any chance you plan on doing DynDOLOD as well in the near future?
I’ll be looking to see if my PC will handle it :D
@@ADHDecent Awesome!
Crossing my fingers and toes that at least it can handle it well enough for a demo on how to actually get it working, Or if possible a way to get the distant looking slightly better if DynDOLOD is to heavy is an option. o.o
Have tried several times but most of the tutorials are for advanced modders, and its a lot of reading, which makes it hard for me to actually understand what I am doing. XD
damn this enb preset is so dark at night i cant even see
I downloaded every files and placed them how you showed on the video but everytime I press start on the SKSE it does not load. ENB prevents SKSE from loading and I dont know why.
why I dont have skse in file overwrite
I have followed this guide but have additional files in my overwrite file and don't know where to put. Them how can I determine where these go.
@@neontank4503 I also have this issue, anybody got a fix?
Do we not have to make an .ini file updates or something, to our grass and anti-aliasing or allocated some odd math for our memory/graphics card? I get conflicting things from the internet so I am having ENB anxiety at this point. Haha.
It depends on the ENB, and some ENB presets also make those tweaks for you automatically. I imagine for this video he chose a rather simple ENB that didn't require tweaks like that, but some ENBs have a tom more requirements and are much more complicated.
Oh and i forgot to ask... Are you gonna cover cbbe? Lol
I hope so yes :-)
Finallyyy 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I have the same issue, did you find a solution in the meantime maybe? Help 😅
@@elmo6931 yeah I fixed it. I deleted the whole game and started another game lmao. Haven’t been back to Skyrim since.
When I put open animation in nemesis output it made then ran skse it said “incompatible medal.exe is detected, exiting….”
I decided to do my modding using your guides. Do you recommend adding mods on my own or should I wait for other tutorials from you before doing so?
This is entirely up to you. The guide can be used as a starting point, or as a completed build as I continue to build it. If you do install your own mods then the guide may look a little different to your own build and you may encounter other errors from conflicts for example that the guide will not. But ultimately it is up to you :)
@@ADHDecent I've already added around 20 mods and everything works perfectly! Thank you for making these videos!
@palkovichvarga2213 you’re very welcome. I appreciate your support! :-)
Lol i did something wrong i need to start again the error is not form your video but from me good thing you give good explanations
Appreciate it thank you! :-)
i followed all the steps but then when trying to launch the game thru SKSE it never does T_T
Hey guys, I’m not sure what I did wrong but in the overwrite I got all the dlc files ( .bsa and .esm and .esl) anyway to fix that?
This is the first time I’ve heard of this. If I had to guess, you didn’t launch Skyrim AE at least once BEFORE installing your modding tools. You need to run Skyrim at least once first as it needs to generate the config files and download the AE content before you attempt to mod the game. That would be my guess anyway :-)
@@ADHDecent
Funny thing is I did launch it but I didn’t make a save or anything. After correcting the override i launched it again and created a test save. Now it works fine 😀👍. I’m any case thank you for replying 😁 I need to be more attentive in the future 😅
@GameMainiak114 you’re welcome! Don’t worry about it it’s one of the joys of modding aha!
you the best
Appreciate it!
Would love to see somme graphic mods too ❤❤
I will be including Graphic mods in this series :)
Please help!
I get to the part where the overwrite folder is in red but when I open it; instead of showing the open animation replacer problems you have, it's showing:
meshes>
actors
Nemesis Engine>
temp_behaviors
scripts>
FNIS_aa.pex
Nemesis_AA_ Core.pex
I literally just following step by step, so I have no idea what this means and don't want to make the wrong move here. Should I just continue along with the same actions for the overwrite folder or something else?
Hello, thanks for this series! It's helped a bunch. I installed the enb just as you did. When in game, everything is blinking and then gets really pixilated. Could it be because I used the best quality as you did and my pc can't handle it?
just wondering, we dont need the example right? confused if i need the example or not because you did a lot more steps with the example
can you make a new guide for using cabbage enb? really appreciate if you can
Hey, I a Question Do you recommend me Downgrading my Skyrim to 1.5.97 Version or should I stay with the Current up to date version of the Game.
Empty folders can be deleted after you have moved the files to the correct location (I believe Overwrite only moves files and leaves folders in place) Ensure they're empty first though.
what if one cant find the skyrimPref ini file?
Could you show hou to instal and remove any random mod best video ever like all this series
Appreciate it! Thank you :-)
At 3:57, is it fine if I placed these like this instead? Right-clicked on overwite and placed contents into open animation replacer instead of Nemesis Output.
im grateful for the video but I have a doubt, why did you only copy paste 2 dll files of the enb files instead of everything, are those files not important?
@ADHDecent Marvelous tutorials. really great. Just a little question with ENB Helper. I have game version 1.6.117.0 and your installing the ENB Helper SE 2.2 for 1.6.629. Should I not install the ENB Helper SE Updated for version 1.6.117.0
Appreciate the kind words and support thank you! The version is for 1.6.629 and up
@@ADHDecent Thanks for the quick response.
I just installed the 1.6.117.0 version as I said above. And the game glitches as it flickers
. With the 1.6.629 version, my movements are really slow and the mouse sensitivity is terrible. Can I do without ENB?
How do I get the shader parameters to appear, I install everything as you indicate but in "Shaders parameters" only "constants" appears? :(
Look into Azurite weather and Azurite horizons enb
I will take a look :-)
