    • @mikes.garage
      @mikes.garage  ปีที่แล้ว

      Make sure that your valve cover has no cracks, otherwise, after replacing the gasket, buy a cover and change it too, this is what happened to me.

      @@mikes.garage Thank you for the advice. Just curious how long does it take for this replacement and if I were to bring it to a garage roughly how much would it cost?

    Excellent video. With torque values. I just did my valvetronic motor gasket replacement before watching your video. I forgot to torque the five t bolts securing the valvetronic motor to VCG @ 10Nm . Could I just properly torque the bolts without taking out the motor nd relearning the motor. Pls advice , thanks

    • @mikes.garage
      @mikes.garage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you can just torque those bolts and don't need to relearn motor.

    • @mikes.garage

      I'm working at "Westgate Tires" now. Labor would cost you $350 + parts. If you have turbo engine or 8 cylinder engine, prce will be higher. I replaced all my valve cover later as it had small cracks.

    Do you have a recommendation for what bolt extractor I shout use? The last bolt on the left side of my valve cover is stripped

      So you can't remove the valve cover?

    • @oblivionlegend2937

      No, for some reason, it feels like the stripped bolt is holding it even though I loosened the rest.

    I have seen plenty and also done plenty Valve Tronic motor removals and let me tell ya that is not the proper way of removing that motor… it just shot out on you like wtf !!! You could damage components better yet yourself even… you leave the bottom ducking bolt in so it doesn’t spring out on you. Inexperienced abit I can tell, lol
