Why can’t just do the pads. Why the whole rotor?
Because these rotors were less than the minimum thickness allowed

Those pinch bolts are a real pain in the ass, heat on aluminium can cause cracking I’ve had to replace those hub carriers before now, I dread doing these.

At least 20h job. BMW usual frustration. Good tutorial though. I have coolant leaking by the bell housing. I'm afraid this might be the cause and I'm gonna have to do this.
@@brotherkossi Thank you for watching and good luck with it.
Great video. Just one question why would you use the slide hammer to pull the bearing assembly without removing all the bolts from the back.?
@@addy2418 Thank you! For removing bolts from the back need to remove the axle shaft. Axle shaft is pressed in in wheel hub. Also wheel hub you can reuse with new bearing.
Why did you use the puller? The hub would have come off as a full unit
@@He8MyHand Because axle shaft pressed into hub.

My ambient temperature display shows up once in a while. My climate control works for 10-15mins then switches off. This morning it rained and my ambient temperature display worked but showed -6°c but the real ambient temperature was 20°c. This time around the climate control won't work. This afternoon once the weather dried up my climate control worked but only for 10-15mins. N.B. I recently changed the Aircon compressor. Do you think the external temperature sensor is faulty.

Diff bushings Diff Both rear axles Axle to the front including quibo Rear wheel bearings. Rear hubs. Rear discs 3 sets of wheels. The vibration is still the same, u got any idea where it might come from?
@@svenqwertyHi, I have the same. Vibration starts at 100 and the worse vibration at 120. I replaced drive shaft from other BMW and now I have more les vibration but it starts at 80-100 then almost nothing. I noticed when warmer weather les vibration if colder feels worse. I was trying to find what it could be and that’s why record this video. This vibration is not that bad, but I feel it. If you have bad vibration then you need new tires.

Hello you use a little grease when you put the tie rod ?
Hi, I applied some grease on ball joint
My guide bolts were stuck as fuck, my bottom sliding pin wouldn’t let the caliper go so I couldn’t grease it or remove the entire caliper, so i just did everything else just not that
You need to remove caliper and grease that pin, as your rear brakes not going to work properly.
Just about the best video on YT on the subject!!
Thank you!
NO GASKET?
Please note , the 7mm Hex socket for removing the caliper is actually a torx (splined) socket.
Thx for this valuable info I was concerned this would be a hard job to do but it's simple and easy to do (gotta give it to the engineer who designed this sh easy to access)
