Hello, we so enjoy your videos. Suggestion about the Tent. We like the idea of your donating to the Homeless group. Suggestion: Make the repairs on the tent and then donate the tent to the Homeless group. More than likely they will not know how to make the repairs and also not be financially able to purchase the supplies. Cannot wait to see the total up crawdad you and Hope capture. Keep up the good videos. We love the ones with the animals on our farm. Ralf and Susan Saint Marys, GA
Dutch, for not having any sons, you’re blessed to have daughters who love the same things you love and yet they’re girly girls too when they want to be. I grew up with 3 brothers and mostly boys in my neighborhood, so I too was very much like your daughters. Enjoy all you can…they’ll all be grown and gone before you know it!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Ring necks are very much like salamanders in where they live and what they eat. Very good for damp areas and controlling small pests and insects. They are usually docile, and when the scare wears off, they seem to enjoy the warmth of your hand. Peace.
Dutch, I would do exactly the same thing with the tent. Not long ago (while it was still winter) I met a man at Walmart…long story short, I found out he was homeless and living in a tent not far away. It was a summer tent but the temps were still in the 30’s at night. The next day I went and bought him a large heavy duty tarp, and some ceramic pots with bases and canned heat so he could stay warm in his tent. He did so well with them, he said it was the first time he was able to sleep without his coat and shoes on. We stayed in touch so I could bring him anything he might need (he assured me he had an EBT card and that it wasn’t necessary to bring him food)….but after a couple of weeks we lost touch…I pray that someone came to rescue him from his situation, but I believe that Jesus did because he had fallen on the railroad tracks a couple of days before I saw him last…. I believe God saved him…
Gotta go deep for gold down around bedrock, gold sinks and works its way down until it hits bedrock,, especially the bigger stuff… Stay safe ALL THE BEST…
Crawdads are definitely most active at night. In the creek that I trap crawdads here in New York, there are certain parts of the creek where I catch some blue crawdads and I've always been curious what's with the blue coloring. It's not just like one blue one here every once in a while, usually we'll get about 5-10 blue ones when we set up multiple traps. People are always shocked first at the size and amount we catch, but they're totally blown away when they see the blue ones. According to google, the blue crawdads lack some gene and that's why they're blue. They definitely are cool to catch and taste just as good as regular crawdads.
Back in the mid-70s when I was a boy scout, we took great care in our tents. Made sure they were completely dried out before we rolled them up and stowed them. If we couldn't do it at the campsite. Jamboree, we did it later when we got back to town. They lasted as long as I was in the scouts and probably way before I was a scout
My son never puts a tent on the ground directly. He always places a heavy duty tarp under it. It keeps the bottom dry in the rain and helps keep the floor from wearing out as fast.
That creek is so gorgeous. Congratulations on the crawdad catch. Wonderful idea to donate it to the homeless. Maybe a few could share the tent for safety. 👍 Yes show the panning.
WOW! Mudbugs galore! My kids tied a piece of bacon on a string and would wait until one grabbed it, then put them in a bucket of water. They got 5 cents apiece at the bait shop. Many times they would earn 4 to 5 dollars! Great Crawdad harvest, Hope!
Can't wait for the catch cook and eat, I think by the time you go back I think they're going to be about 60 in there. The new tent looks awesome, and for the old tent it's nice that you want to give it to those people. That would be a good thing to do, maybe you can call them and see if they want it for you carry it all the way down there. Thanks for the video, love your family God bless you all Amen. ❤❤❤❤❤
Having fun crawdad fishing...my friend and I used to spend some Saturday mornings fishing with bacon strips in the creek for bait for my dad....lots of fun as a kid many years ago.
Renting them out?? Heck no. I wouldn't want anyone knowing about my camping spot, cause before ya know it, ya got a bunch of smelly squatters down there that refuse to leave.
Good job Hope on catching the crawdads. The tent looks good where you set it up. I think that would be great to donate that tent to that homeless camp. GOD bless y'all.
Dutch get yourself some bounce dryer sheets and put some in the tent and by the door of the tent. Mice, rats etc.. cannot stand the smell of them and will stay away. Replace them when the smell dies down. You can hang a couple of them trees in there or around the bottom of the tent outside. the really stinky scent ones not the sweet-smelling ones. Rodents hate strong smells. You can plant some peppermint in pots or in the ground around the tent and let them grow. Rodents hate the smell of peppermint. citronella candles repel them
Gild panning is fun. We use to years ago in Salt Creek near Little Nashville Indiana. We found after a flood to look for a rock bar in the creek. Black sand produced some nice garnets and small bits of gold. It's great.
Way to go, Hope! I remember catching crawdads about the same age as Hope, at a creek around 110 miles from home. We used to camp there a lot and besides crawdads, we would catch frogs, toads, and trout. Dad always fly-fished and we ate a lot of trout.
Hey we always have a 2nd hole to release the small ones in to grow, so we don't keep re-catching the same ones. Hey you should see the vids on how our American Crayfish are ultra-thriving in the UK. They considered them an invasive pest at first, but many Brits are loving them now because of how huge they get in that cooler climate. God Bless and Cheers from North Carolina!!
I've found putting a silver tarp under my tent makes it last a lot longer. Harbor freight is have a sale right now. I signed up for their internet page, so many great deals !!!
Good job hope in if you want to keep mice and snakes out of your tent by the package of mothballs and put it all around your tent they sell them in little clear packages.
What sweet memories that you are making with Hope. 😍 I have a question, if you fed the crawdads spoiled sardines, wouldn’t it be dangerous to eat the crawdads? Seems like they would have salmonella or some other bacteria. I don’t know anything about crawdads. Thanks for another great video and Great job Hope on your great big catch! 😃👍🏻👏🏻
Hope great job on your catch. As a kid we would go walking along the shore at night with lanterns and 5 gallon buckets. We would fill up our bucket and have a midnight feast. Just pick them up, put them in the bucket. Those were the best days 😋😊.
Dutch you have a good heart for wanting to give that other tent to the homeless people but if you're gonna do something like that go ahead and spend the couple dollars and patch it up they probably don't even have the money to do that. God bless you and he will give it back to you tenfold peace
Hey catch some bluegill and filet them. Use those filets. Crawdads love fresh fish. If you want to find gold look for where bigger rocks are. Classify and run your sluice.

Now put some bounce in it to keep mice out
I suggest - fixing it for the homeless who generally don’t have resources
LOVE HOPE'S SENSE OF ADVENTURE! YOU GO GIRL!!!

The ring-necked snakes do not bite nor are they poisonous. I remember playing with those snakes as a child. They are very cool snakes.

Congratulations on the record catch Hope!
Won’t the big crawdads eat the little ones?

Hello Dutch and Hope, that creek water is crystal clear. Good luck with the trapping Hope!! 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
You should try to set the dry rotted tent up to see if it will hold together before giving it to someone.
Maybe moldy.
Get rid of it. To thin in spots and too many holes in it. Go buy you an army tent, which will hold up better.
If they want it they can try it and if they decide they don’t want it there is a dumpster right there they can toss it in
Good Job Hope on the record catching crawdads, awesome Job 🎉🎉🎉
That's a good catch, Bon Appetit...
Such beautiful clear water!!
The gold will be on the inside bend of the creek. Black sand.
The gold is on the northside of the Missouri river.
Love how your family is so close and interacts. You are a great dad. Brandy is a wonderful mother! God bless all of you❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much!

Gold is heavy and won't be in the light sand on top. You'll have to dig down into the gravel where the gold settles.
Great job Hope on catching all those crawdads🦂🦂🦂

One problem with the old tent is because it was folded wet, the stitching will rot quickly. That's from personal experience.
I used mink oil to coat a canvas tent i had but I don't know what your tent calls for
It’s really awesome how it is w father daughter bonding
Good evening from Syracuse NY brother and everyone else thank you for sharing your adventures and your farm
Our pleasure!
I agree with the heavy duty tarp under the tent. Double protection.
Your new tent is inviting! Hope, you did a good job fishing! Keep track of your record catches.
Congratulations Hope on the record catch!
My son never puts a tent on the ground directly. He always places a heavy duty tarp under it. It keeps the bottom dry in the rain and helps keep the floor from wearing out as fast.
Congratulations Hope! That was an awesome catch. It looks so peaceful at the creek.
Great job Hope. We all love cra wdads!!!!!!
That water looks amazing.
put a tarp under the tent---it will help keep the bottom from getting wet----also you can use a tarp as a tent fly on the top
Hey never know try a little pan handling, good luck 🎉
I really like your camp area and the water is so clear
Great job Hopie! Let us know how many you caught 🥰
You could tape the holes up then give to them
Oh my goodness the water is crystal clear ❤
Hey Dutch thats a beautiful creek, you got fortunate with such a clean spring man.
Great Job Hope.

Great job on your catch.
Good evening Dutch and Hope! That water is beautiful...so clean! Ata girl Hope...great catch!!
I hope you got a good swim. In the nice beautiful, cold water Dutch.!❤❤❤
The bank dirt too for gold
Can’t get over how clear the water is in your creek. Beautiful!
What a great video, you all. Nice catch, Hope.🎉🎉🎉🎉.
That's a great idea. Give the old tent to the homeless. They know how to utilize almost anything. 👍😊
I don't like the taste of crawdads.
What about putting up an inexpensive homemade platform to put the tent on top of. So it is raised off the ground
Oh I would definitely pan there just for fun you never know 😊
Would not open rental on private property, unless really vet people. Give damaged tent away. Good idea. Great job Hope!!! 🍤🍤🦐🦐
Having fun crawdad fishing...my friend and I used to spend some Saturday mornings fishing with bacon strips in the creek for bait for my dad....lots of fun as a kid many years ago.
Donate the tent to the homeless. Great job on the great catch. That is going to be good eating. Great video.
Absolutely, donate the tent to the homeless. Fantastic idea.
That's a great idea with the tent
Donating instead through it away
Renting them out?? Heck no. I wouldn't want anyone knowing about my camping spot, cause before ya know it, ya got a bunch of smelly squatters down there that refuse to leave.

I think they would appreciate the tent, anything to help keep the skeeters off while they sleep
Congratulations Hope on the catch.❤❤❤😊😊😊

Beautiful spot for the tent.
Great job Hope. The campsite looks great and so does the swimming area. But the snake had to go like as in dead… have a great evening, Lisa
Good job on that great catch. 😍 We have a creek near my home, and in the summer the kids are down there trying to catch the crawdads.
Love and enjoy watching your videos. May the lord bless and protect you and Hopie
Congratulations Hope, Great job 🎉
Hi Dutch and hope have fun fishing four crayfish
Nice catch Hope ❤❤😊

God bless you Dutch I knew you do the right thing you are a big hearted man ✌✌🎅
Set up the tent on a sacrificial tarp. 😀
gold video 👍👍
Great job, Hope! That's something I was never able to do.
Good job Hope , that is a great catch of Crawdads
Hey catch some bluegill and filet them. Use those filets. Crawdads love fresh fish.
If you want to find gold look for where bigger rocks are. Classify and run your sluice.
Okay if they don't have a shelter they will make a makeshift one from a tarp
Put some chicken skins or fish heads in crawfish traps. That's what we use in Louisiana.
We used bluegill filets when I was outside of Lake Charles.
Great job Hope on the cradads
Good job hope Ann from Cardiff South Wales u/k. 🏴🏴🏴
Way to go Hope on the crawdads!!!!! That is amazing!!!!!!!!
