Tangential: One of the best pieces of advice for authors is to read bad books when you get in a rut. It makes you think about all the missed opportunities. By the end, you're just thinking "Well I could do way better".

Come on, Godzilla 1998 can actually be a pretty fun experience, I have even seen it a few times. :D Yeah it's cheesy and some effects are bad, but somehow I enjoy it every now and again. There are a lot of worse movies imo.
But generally speaking, I agree with you. Just watch everything, when it interests you, because of some actor in it or something or even if you want to find out if a movie is really that bad... I have also seen a lot of bad movies, it can be fun and a lot of times I was pleasently surprised as well!

TBF we already watch a ton of "bad" movies, a lot of MCU movies are honestly very poorly written in retrospect, they're carried only by brand name and hype. I suppose, you're talking about the REALLY bad ones, ones that are infamous, in that case it is fun to watch something that's uniquely bad rather than "bad" in a mundane sense.
I appreciate racing games more after playing Street Supremacy, its one of the most painfully boring racing games ever made. Every element in the game was so misguided that its honestly fascinating and worth playing just to see just how someone could get a racing game so fundamentally wrong.
