- Hello everyone, thank you for joining me once again. This time around, we'll be looking at the atmosphere of Shin Megami Tensei V and how it works. What elements come together to make the atmosphere what it is, and how SMT V nails each of them.

Awesome video, this was such a pleasant watch and insight for an absolute banger of a game. I would love a more in-depth take of the themes and storytelling that went into thia game according to your takes. I think that would make for a very great video. Looking forward to see what youll put out in terms of content from now On!
First off, thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed! Second, yeah, I could definitely do a deeper dive on V's themes. The game as a whole has a very unique theme to it, which sets it apart a bit from other SMT games but it's also something I enjoy about it.
Great video! I liked the examples you uses at the start of the video as well. I hadnt played SMTV yet but you explained it very well! A bit of a side note but I do like seeing how indie games like FNAF or games on earlier consoles create atmosphere with their limited resources.
Thank you! And yes, indie games are typically great at capturing atmosphere due to limited tools; some indie rpgs are the best of the best at it.
Really good video! Even though I never have played SMT before, you made it very interesting to hear about, especially when you talked about the enemies.
Another Banger video, you love to see it!
Shin Megami Tensei in general is king of atmosphere, but for my money IV is the best at it. From the minute you set forth into Naraku, there is a constant and overpowering sensation of “You are not safe here.” Even when confronted with the bittersweet beauty of a ruined future, your moments of safety and security are few and in between.
I’m glad to see V is just as great at it’s setting and tone as IV is.
