Comedians have been on late night shows forever, haven't they? Conan had them all the time. There are channels devoted to Conan's Late Night and all sorts of comedians are on there (including scrawny Jim Gaffigan and the amazing first appearance of Fred Armisen). If stand-ups are a trend now, then I'm confused. Did they go away or something? Not complaining, I prefer stand up over the absolute dismal depressing thing that passes for music these days, but whatevs!
