Haven't seen Cathy in years. Always enjoyed her comedy, and really nice to see she is still working, and still funny! Love that dry sense of humor. Not everyone can pull it off as well as she does. All the best Cathy!
First time I've seen her, and I can tell she is definitely my kind of comedian, quick witted and as you mentioned a bit on the dry side. Great combo! Do you remember Elaine Boosler, she was really funny too.
I do remember that song !🎶 Then it goes low bridge, everybody down, low bridge cause we’re coming to a town. Cause you’ll never know your neighbor, you’ll never know your pal if you’ve never navigated on the Erie Canal ! And l am 69 years old ! And the teacher accompanying us on the autoharp ! Blessings from California ! My mom saved all my school work also. I have no idea why. I was a horrible student.
Which probably means you had the same green music book I did. Do you remember other such hits as Columbia Roll On, Up We Go into the Wide Blue Yonder, Stodola pumpa? I was always so tempted to steal that book, now I regret I didn’t. Lol
WOW! Just WOW! I'm 58 years old also and caught myself humming The Erie Canal just two days ago! It kept running through my mind off and on throughout the entire day. I hadn't heard that song since elementary school either. 🤔 That's just crazy...🤣 ~APRIL LIPKE
True in Winnipeg. I was born 52 miles outside of Winnipeg! I remember those horrid winters! -60*f with wind chill factor! True story from the newspaper about my brother!! “6 yr old Kenny M. Was I injured at noon when he was struck by a truck. The young lad was believed to be going home from school at the time. He was bundled up warmly against the cold and it was thought he did not see the truck approaching. Icy roads were also believed to be the reason the truck could not stop in time. The lad was not struck heavily merely pushed over.” My brother is now 82 years old!! I WROTE THIS FROM THE NEWSPAPER CLIPPING!! I personally live in California now.😂
All the batting in his clothes must have protected him !! Bless his cold little heart 💙 ! I was born and raised in California ! And l hope to never leave ! We have been here for generations ! 🏰🎢🎡🎠
LOL, that is wild! It's not funny that he was hit by a truck, it's the fact he was bundled up so heavily I can almost imagine him bouncing off. Reminds me of the line in Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, "Bumbles bounce!" 😂
Oh gosh remembering childhood diseases. My mom was a great nurse. Fixed me milk toast with sugar with a creamy fried egg on top. If feverish my treat was ice cold coke. And always the newest issue of MAD MAGAZINE. Good times.
My Dad could remember everything from his childhood and early adult, but couldn't remember things that were recent when he was in his eighties. I told him that it's because his filing cabinet was too full of old stuff!
What I enjoy about being able to write cursive(or linked as we were taught) is that I can just occasionally leave a note at work in cursive and nobody can read it and it's just a bit of fun
Low bridge everybody down, low bridge must be coming to a town, and you always know your neighbor you always know your pal if you've ever navigated on the Erie Canal.
Canada only started requiring passports from the US in 2009. This comic is 68 years old. She can remember a time not so long ago when no passport or heavy clearance from Canadian officials was required. Maybe she had never had a need to travel there before and just wasn't aware of it. There's no need to try to insult her. This has nothing to do with any of her education... lol
@@nope4no1 Actually, mea culpa ! I was wrong. I had completely forgot that we didn't passports with each other (Can/USA) until lately. You are correct. But I hadn't intended on insulting her.
@bobgillis1137 Ahh okay. Apologies, it came across to me as an insult regarding what level of education she had. I apologize if I misread and you didn't mean it that way!

I love her style! Glad you put her on dry bar
Normally I just listen to these and smile. This set had me bursting out laughing several times. 👍 😂 👏 👏 👏
Cathy still has a good way of helping us find the laugh in everyday "Laugh or you'll cry - or throw a brick" situations 🎉

Really enjoy her work.

Catch her talking about getting older. Truly laugh out loud rolling on the floor laughing. She is a US Treasure!!!

Funny, entertaining.
She is hilairous. 😅

If we dumb down our schools any further, all we will be teaching is left hand v. right hand and then giving them a diploma.

It’s not funny ! At all it’s just a conversation!
Wheeew! I thought there was something wrong with my funny meter! Glad to see I wasn't the only one who didn't get ANY of these "jokes" 😒
😅Don't be so grumpy!😡

"Nobody bothered to tell me I had to go through immigration" (to go to a foreign country). Makes you wonder about US educational standards.

Years ago when we went to Canada, they had just started being more strict at the border !

@@nope4no1 My intent was to criticize the US educational system. Guilty there. It iis a Canadian pastime.
