This Beta made me feel something, I was confused at first it felt somewhat nostalgic then I remembered that joy and happiness is what it feels like. Enjoy the game everyone!
They have really added a lot of really helpful and dynamic gameplay features, like being able to switch to a second weapon and sharpen your weapon on your Seikret.
@@Frvnklin man i am a LS main since mhfu and secondary GS , SA and hammer. I don't get the hate for LS aside for tripping in coop. I guess is a skill issues
@@matst3404 It's a joke because it's the most popular weapon and the weapon most of the newer players pickup. So on avg LS players don't know what they are doing. If you're a veteran the joke doesn't apply to you bud
This is my first Monster Hunter. I DEFINITELY need a full tutorial of EVERYTHING including everything in the menu. I don't even know where to start. I play Elden Ring, but this seems like a whole 'nother beast. No pun intended
Few things; paintballs are back. Marking monsters while in a lobby will create quests for yourself or others in the lobby. As this is a beta, all the monsters are revealed regardless but it does lead to the possibility that in the game itself the monsters will not be auto revealed upon their spawn unless you fully research(kill/capture) a bunch of them. Dung pods have been a thing for a very long time. You do not need to be on the sekeret to activate environmental traps. You can edit your palicos body...just need to not have the long hair option ticked
I hope that tomorrow I can pre download the demo and just wait for Thursday to play. I look forward to this and I wanna pre order the game so that way I can wait till full release next year Plus I hope that I get to fight Rey Dau and Balahara in the Beta, I'm seeing everyone do it and it just makes me want to get in there now and fight them but I have to wait till Thursday.
"It gives you some extra damage bonuses." The damage bonus only applies after successfully completing a Power Clash or pulling off an offset attack. Meaning that ability only affects Sword and Shield, Lance, Gunlance, Charge Blade, Hunting Horn, Great Sword, and Switch Axe. If you run any other weapon you won't get anything. Always be reading. Edit: I knew hammer had one too. Add Hammer to the list
Here's a little synopsis of the weapon changes pros and cons. The hunting horn Offset counter honestly feels like such a nerf, requires a substantial amount of setup for very little reward outside of being able to hold the attack and thus having a more forgiving counter window. They also got rid of hunting horns spin of doom; it's main dps point we got from iceborne which is a huge hit to the weapons overall dps.(we got a little tiki dance instead for the buff puddles that lacks flair and damage.) Thankfully the encore comes out a bit faster now so there's less delay between songs now but it still feels like HH got hit quite hard in wilds. Lance has some major buffs. The power clash system and lure pods are incredible. Being able to reposition while attacking makes mobility feel much better. Having lances offset counter be only applicable after 3 high pokes is a bit odd but hey, at least they have both the power clash and the offset attack so they're winning with both the new mechanics. They brought back the i-frames on backstep and sliding slash on the sword and shield while also letting it use power clash mechanics, a Huge W. The charge pierce attack also inflicts wounding faster than almost any other weapon outside of mounting the monster. Gunlance got a plethora of quality of life changes that makes the weapon feel less clunky and let's other playstyles outside of full burst shine like never before. A high skill weapon that Feels good to be skillful at now. P.s their focus strike is actually just a additional dps move that ALSO reloads your gun, who'da thunk? Greatsword and Switch axe stayed relatively the same but because of how quickly both weapons can transition into their counter mechanics they've gained some amazing dps buffs if you can time your combos correctly with the monsters attacks. Essentially never dodging again! Longsword has a pseudo offset counter. I didn't know longsword needed more love but wilds has showered the darn thing with it. Still trips everyone on the hunt with them though. It's a solo weapon through and through and does incredibly by itself. Dual blades don't need any kind of fancy new mechanics because they buffed Everything about the darn things. Definitely one of the more entertaining new changes to the weapon and are sure to win many more fans. Guns got mounted combat. Need I say more? Lbowgun benefits the most here with their multi shot having no diminishing returns while mounted since the attack delay is as long as the reload animation. Get ready for drive by lbowgun fights. Also HBowguns can power clash, why? Because it's awesome, and basically turns them into an immovable bastion of destruction. Bows got more mobility. Thank God because I feel so sorry for their loss of aerial bow mechanics. Hammer bros focus move and offset counter somehow makes hammer feel faster?! Bonk bros will be having the time of their lives in wilds. Charge blade is still charge blade but now you have more to remember and more to forget! Have fun with your spreadsheets. Insect blades quality of life with the focus strike And the targeting ridicule changes make it a much less frustrating experience keeping your buffs up. Sad we lost their aerial moves but in exchange their ground dps rivals longsword if played right. This also means you'll be tripping your friends about as often as the LS users though so be forewarned.
I'm new here and really appreciate your content! Can't wait for the release of the full game. I've been playing the Demo a few hours now and love the LS and Charge Blade!
Couldn't find any videos on the mounted combat yet. Dismount attacks yes, but the trailers suggested that you can attack even without dismounting. What are the limitations, if the feature wasn't scrapped completely? I am especially interested in the HBG usage while mounted. 🤔
@@mohanmc1681 Got it, thanks. Might still be worth it for weapons that aren't combo-heavy, like the HBG. Depends on how much the damage is reduced, and how much you are willing to sacrifice for superb mobility. 🤔 Also wonder how recoil works while mounted. If it reduces/nullifies that as well, you might be able to play around with it. But yeah, soon we'll know for sure. 😁
You can change the body and all the other settings of your character in the title menu. You just have to hit the square button in the menu where you select your character to start the game.

I appreciate all that you do.
I watch on your stream, its amazing you can summary in time you play. Beside struggle on first minutes but nice play 😂 See you soon on this weekend for PC beta
Going with the obvious weapon combo of Great Sword and Hunting Horn. Play a little tune before I lay the smack down on a monster. What weapon combos are you guys gonna try?
Persoonally gonna do either LongSword, Dual Blades or Insect Glaive as a primary then as a secondary I'll do Bow or Hunting Horn. But does anyone know if the Hunting Horn's buffs stay after switching weapons?
one of the muscle memories i have to relearn in every MH title is the prehunt dance to get your weapon, gear and of course all your pots, and traps etc etc i find that more tedious than any of the actual combat mechanics.
I'm kinda excited to know how much the gameplay will change now that we have the option to carry a secondary weapon to switch during hunts, and use like two weapons that focus in stamina such as the bow and dual, and pairing all the perks and bonuses from the armor and jewel to maximize damage. On a second thought, as a solo player any main weapon plus the hunting horn to self buff, sound pretty well.
