Very mixed responses when it comes to performance, we're keeping an eye on it though! None of us have had issues nor has people we know personally, it seems to be the rigs on the more minimum end are only 'technically' able to play, that said Capcom are aware and already said the real version is ahead of the beta performance wise.
I mean if you and your fellow content creator buddies are running 4090 7800x3d aka best spec money can buy why would u expect to have performance issues? And more on the minimum end is simply untrue. I have 3080 5800x, which is much higher than minimum and the game cant keep stable 60 fps anywhere.
I have a 4080 super,32gig ram ryzen 5950x and this shit runs like buns bro its absolutely insane I wish companies would stop relying on this DLSS/Frame gen shit to have games "run" at a palatable frame rate instead of actually optimizing the game RE engine games all run on ultra for me with 0 issues for outside of this game
Uhh just try turning your res down I'm running a 2070super 8gb Vram, 16gb ram, 5600x, running at 100-144fps on the high preset. Also this is beta the game is practically finished all that's left for them is likely mostly optimization work and finishing touches

Tip 18: You can psychologically abuse your Palico in the tent. Tip 19: Walk around base camp for a little bit, the Palico's get up to some funny stuff Tip 20: Don't waste your time collecting materials, there's no smithy and none of it transfers to the final game. You'll need some things for consumables they don't provide, but everything else, like mining for ores, is a complete waste of time. Do it once to see the new animation, but don't go looking for more. Tip 21: If you're a returning player you're gonna find every monster except Rey Dau very, very easy. Try out weapons you're unfamiliar with for a more challenging experience.
I killed an Alpha Doshaguma without using any Dung pods to get a bit of a challenge, i didn't really get the challenge i was looking for but i sure as hell did get a lot of freaking pandemonium 😅
I just found out you can drift with seikret! The very same drift as the palamute, all you have to do is a sharp turn while running and briefly hold the brake button
This is why we have MHGU or World/Rise… MHGU is more my thing tho. I enjoy the challenge of hub quests. Shoot I might even go back to 4u on my 2DS for a little bit. DalamaDUUURRRPP
So far, the area that has the underwater section also had my favorite endemic life, I believe they were called the Mist Lizards, and they have a nice particle effect as they scurry around on the salt deposits in those tunnels
09:00 There's also a cool secret area nearby, a mineral cave where you can set up camp... the cave has 2-3 oreveins, but more importantly it looks beautiful because its completely lined with the Crystals found in Rey's Nest -- the floors, the walls, the roof, everything.
you can make tranq bombs to capture as well. there is only 1 sleep herb on the map but 2 parashrooms you can either wait it out(takes 15 minutes to loot herb and shroom again) or fight a monster and loot again. Can come in handy when you're in that lobby and there have been 2 carts already and the monster can be captured or roughly 25% hp left
I haven't seen anyone mention this yet but in the items menu you can use the "rearrange" function to stack similar items and allow for more things to be carried in your item pouch, it also helps to keep things more organized.
@@mmontoroMakes it so your item bar isn't clogged up with extra items to tab through, for example, you'd likely put stuff like Megadrugs above that you take before engaging. You can open your full item pouch and then select anything, that'll definitely take some getting used to.
The stack items feature is becoz there's a new way to use the item bar beside going either scrolling right or left or the radial menu style. The new item bar style is when depending on what button you chose in the setting (mine is L1 + R1, pretty sure this is not the default) it will showcase all the items you have in the stacked style while you move the cursor to choose items with the right joystick or the d-pad. I actually love this new stack style as it is infinitely faster for me to choose what items to use ASAP. Keep an eye over the item bar when you're scrolling or pressing L1, pretty sure it will show the the other button u need to press to showcase the item stacked bar style.
Something I've not seen commented anywhere is that you can use your slinger ammo while your weapon is drawn. On ps5 that's the L3 button while in focus mode
I'm pretty sure the appearance change in your tent will stay in the full game. It has limited options like makeup, hair, and such, just like in the previous games. The character selection screen is where we currently have infinite vouchers in the beta and that allows full customization.
i feel the key rebinding could be a bit more open for mouse and keyboard players. with the added focus mode it really limits what i can put where, and sometimes things in different categories are linked? but its not really explained or doesnt make sense at times. hopefully that gets another look.
my tip is to go get some cheese from kunafa village you don't start with any but y'sai (the guy from the first mission) gives you some in some dialogue and so does the lady who makes it (with a random chance when you chat with her and only once) its a great ingredient and it leads to some nice dialogue and some nice cooking animations (its actual effect on the food is a divine blessing skill and increasing the duration of the food buff)
A big tip that I think will be useful as I don’t see anyone else doing it is making Tranq Bombs for catching monsters. You have to gather Sleep Herbs and Parashrooms to make the bombs, but doing this in between quests will allow you to catch monsters when they are weak and are in a trap. Hope this helps! 😀
The game actually runs pretty well. I've got everything bar the SSD, so most of the graphical issues I'm running into, freezes, stutters, odd mesh stretches and biblically accurate palicoes, I'm blaming on that. Because otherwise it runs so smoothly. Mind you the stutters and freezes I mentioned are pretty rare. Mostly happening when the storm rolls in and out and once it's gone it's fixed again.
At 2:40 you actually talk about a training area/room and based off the pcitures and videos we can see in the guide for each weapon wich tells us what wich button does im certain that there will be some kind of training area. You can actually see some kind of wooden maching like we had in rise that looks like it can attack etc. just not in the style of a monster.
People are saying they can't run the game on mid rigs, but I haven't had too much trouble with Radeon 5500XT. Maybe it's cause I just upgraded my CPU (Ryzen 7 5800) and RAM, (48GB DDR4) so it's picking up the slack with minimal bottlenecking, but it's not the worst.
Capcom should've made sure textures are properly authored to look decent on 8GB cards. 8GB cards were the hand Nvidia dealt gamers by being stingy with VRAM. If only developers could take a hint...

I’m loving what they added to my baby. Ls is my main. Weeb at heart but I been loving duel blades, charge blade and SnS. But insect glaive feels weird now. Idk I think I would have to get use to it. But I wanna try the hammer and git gud with charge blade.
So, I created my character and Palico. Then once the first story cutscene starts up (the one right after you confirm your characters name/appearance), about a minute and a half into it, everything cuts and says that it’s corrupt. And then quits 😢. Has anyone else run into this issue and/or know how to fix it? (I’m playing on a PS5 btw). Please & thank you! 🙏
You actually don't have to defeat Rey Dau to unlock his quest. I joined one and immediately quit so I could unlock it for myself, thus being able to post it.
I got Rey Dao optional without beating him. I just hopped into a lobby Ray Dao played a little but then I had to go IRL so a returned from quest and later I saw I had the optional.
I did on S. I played the earlier Beta release on my PS5 and it ran flawlessly, but my S had texture pop ins and some framerate issues plus input lag. Console has a tough time running Wilds evidently

Beta gives you armor as soon as the cutscene with the Chatacabra finishes, you just gotta make you way back to the Makeshift Camp then from that point on you can change your armor at any camp
Everyone complaining that they can’t run the game is on old hardware. What did you expect? That your 1080 TI was gonna last for 10 years? Want to play new games? Get new hardware. Otherwise, play old games till wilds is also old and you can run it. I seriously don’t get the argument. Gaming is an expensive hobby, and I’d rather devs primarily make games for those who are going to invest into the game, and not the casual player who touches the games for less than 10 hours.
I bought a 4070 and stuck it in my 6 year old computer. Upgraded the ram recently, and the game works just fine on high settings approaching 100fps. A 4070 is about the same price as a PS5. Just upgrade.
The recommended setting for this game is a joke a 4060 for 1080p30fps medium framegened into 60 goes against the gpu manufacturers recommendations Getting 30fps equivalent of input lag on modern hardware is not a good place to be If you're getting 100fps with a piece of hardware that cost an entire ps5 by itself using dlss3 or fsr3 you're running it at 50 or so fps under the hood. I'd love if my games played smoother than that I really wish something with the power of the ps5 could reach 60 native with whatever they deem "Performance"
Its funny how Capcom spent so much time making the game look pretty incredible, only for maybe half or even more to not even be able to play the game without it looking like a PS2 game.

The map has me struggling so hard like it’s so confusing and the new mount too idk if anyone else has it but I made the voice of my character and now it sounds like he is speaking into a broken mic😭🙏🏾
Go to edit your character and put the pitch on default, it actually says at the bottom something like changing this can make it harder to hear. On default all the voices sound fine.
For a beta the ps5 version on resolution mode isn't that bad.. even at 30 fps and the performance mode is where it gets ugly in my opinion, as for pc, I wish I had the money for a good rig I didnt even bother trying it on my msi
The Performance mode on PS5 is a real 50/50, in the dessert fighting a balahara it runs butterly smooth with good resolution but if i get near the river with some trees and grass fighting a doshaguma the resolution goes reaaaallyyyy down and i still get FPS drops

I don't understand the issues people are having with this game. I have a 3080ti and the game is running perfect at high settings across the board. What issues are people having? I haven't actually looked at my FPS but I can't imagine it's bad if I don't notice any issues.
I've had two problems with the Beta. I'm getting some stuttering on 'high' settings even though my PC slightly exceeds the recommended specs. And monsters are REALLY prone to area changing. Several time I would catch up to my target then 30 seconds later it would move areas again. Sometimes this would happen multiple times in a row. Caused my hunts to be much longer than they should.
I have to ask because someone did this in a hunt with me but are you chasing it on foot or using the Seikret? Because like I said in one hunt the person was yelling that if always moves and how do we get there so fast. So I asked if he was using the mount and he said no.
@piedpiper1185 when using sekrit are you manually speeding it up & controlling it? Haven't had any issues personally with monster leaving. Lure pods also help incredibly with that issue to keep them by you.
dragons dogma 2 again, the game is CPU limited according to some people. lets hope that dragons dogma 2 optimization has given them some important lessons.
Why can’t you play it? Is it running poorly? Use upscaling, if it looks bad turn up scaling off. If your GPU is older than world don’t expect to run at max settings and get 200+ frames. Just not how gaming works
Yea, this game def made a lot of changes to weapons combat mechanics.. for the most part- better buut, ig that’s subjective.. also, idk if I like the new lance. I kinda wanted them to keep the tackle and the charged slaps… 😢 shit was so good.

I can say that once u adjust and learn how to play the new LS- it’s very rewarding and the counters r powerful- special sheathe isn’t as quick with recovery but we also don’t have quick sheathe , so..
@@kylebennett6169 I just tried the demo again and used the LS more to try and familiarize the new moveset... I guess I sort of got the hang of it now. I have a 3060 with an i7 and my monitor is 1440p and i get 60 fps on medium and 40 on ultra. So its really not that bad. Just gotta play on low if your hardware is older
Mine sits at about 100fps to 144fps(what my cap is at) on 1080p with a 2070super using high settings so maybe people might try just cranking the resolution down a little
Im sure you can get an unstable 60 in some areas yes. I am on 3080 5800x and cant get stable 60 in any area. From low to high settings, it dips down to 40s in base camp.
Okay first of all, people need to stop freaking out about the performance. It was so obvious that this would happen if they released a demo this early, it’s the one reason why I was hoping/expecting they’d start the demo closer to the game’s release (much as I wanted to play it this soon)- not because the performance would bother me, but because people will inevitably be a pain about it. They have stated that the last few months of development will be mostly dedicated to improving performance. The game literally isn’t done. This isn’t even a usual demo, it’s a literal test. My performance has been somewhere in the middle, differs depending on the graphics settings- honestly better than I’d expected. Though one thing does have me very confused- how are people able to get it to look so good? No matter what setting I change, it’s always super grainy and pretty blurry looking. I’ve even tried entirely neglecting performance and turning everything up to max, but it’s no less grainy and blurry looking. It doesn’t seem to look like that for anyone else based off the clips I’ve seen, anyone know if there’s a way I can make it look normal? Hoping this is just an issue with the beta and not a problem with my pc.
well it is a major concern from the community .. for good reason. the demo confirms it needs a lot of optimization. it runs and looks like shit on consoles.

They might be spending the next few months thinking about what micro transactions to add, rather than game optimisation.
Rey Dau felt an easier monster than Anjanath to me... Like sure it hits extremely hard, but it does what 2 attacks, rarely 3, in a row? After which it gets exhausted and you can even do the full IG charge and follow-up on him without really having to worry about getting hit. And the moves have big wind-ups as well... ofcourse I'm not saying I haven't carted to him or anything, but cleared Rey Dau on first try no faints... in terms of actual "threat" I felt, Rey Dau was definitely lesser than Anjanath

i have to ask... how is this game any different from all the other monster hunters? don't take me wrong... i love monster hunter... but the last 2 games felt like they were almost the same. its like they are just repeating the same thing over and over again... Monster hunter rise was was annoying with that village and kaijus or whatever each time some new monster appeared... The visual styles/filters i felt they were totally an unnecessary waste of time and I could live well without them i just played with the normal visual style. Felt really weird. For the exception of being able to have some more movement control in your ride... MH world was much better for me. And it feels that there are always monsters being cut, monster that are unique and are missed. I don't know... i didnt even try the one with the single player story i found it weird like it was another kind of game.
Most modern games with modern graphics are going to become less and less playable with "mid rigs". It's just a fact of life, no need to get pissy over it. I myself am bummed I can't play Wilds beautifully, but the game looks wonderful enough that you can lower the graphics and/or resolution and still have a beautiful experience.

Playing the wilds beta with only 3 gb of vram is a treat. Chatacabra was like 3 polygons and a tongue

Lure pods are great for when a monster tries to change location or is limping away. It turns them around to come after you instead

The Max item count in your pouch is 25, doesn’t matter if it’s stacked or not.

Almost like they posted the minimum specs to be 16 gb.. which is exactly 2 8gb cards & standard in gaming set ups nowadays (has been for a few years)

I’m loving what they added to my baby. Ls is my main. Weeb at heart but I been loving duel blades, charge blade and SnS. But insect glaive feels weird now. Idk I think I would have to get use to it. But I wanna try the hammer and git gud with charge blade.
So, I created my character and Palico. Then once the first story cutscene starts up (the one right after you confirm your characters name/appearance), about a minute and a half into it, everything cuts and says that it’s corrupt. And then quits 😢. Has anyone else run into this issue and/or know how to fix it? (I’m playing on a PS5 btw). Please & thank you! 🙏
You actually don't have to defeat Rey Dau to unlock his quest. I joined one and immediately quit so I could unlock it for myself, thus being able to post it.
Question if someone can answer . Does all the loot we get in the beta transfer to the full game like the monster parts etc ?
Nope nothing will transfer over except your created character can be.

I got Rey Dao optional without beating him. I just hopped into a lobby Ray Dao played a little but then I had to go IRL so a returned from quest and later I saw I had the optional.

The best tip is to use the beta to find your two main weapons. And one ore two more alternatives❤️

I did on S. I played the earlier Beta release on my PS5 and it ran flawlessly, but my S had texture pop ins and some framerate issues plus input lag. Console has a tough time running Wilds evidently

Beta gives you armor as soon as the cutscene with the Chatacabra finishes, you just gotta make you way back to the Makeshift Camp
then from that point on you can change your armor at any camp
Everyone complaining that they can’t run the game is on old hardware. What did you expect? That your 1080 TI was gonna last for 10 years? Want to play new games? Get new hardware. Otherwise, play old games till wilds is also old and you can run it. I seriously don’t get the argument. Gaming is an expensive hobby, and I’d rather devs primarily make games for those who are going to invest into the game, and not the casual player who touches the games for less than 10 hours.
I bought a 4070 and stuck it in my 6 year old computer. Upgraded the ram recently, and the game works just fine on high settings approaching 100fps. A 4070 is about the same price as a PS5. Just upgrade.

The recommended setting for this game is a joke a 4060 for 1080p30fps medium framegened into 60 goes against the gpu manufacturers recommendations
Getting 30fps equivalent of input lag on modern hardware is not a good place to be
If you're getting 100fps with a piece of hardware that cost an entire ps5 by itself using dlss3 or fsr3 you're running it at 50 or so fps under the hood. I'd love if my games played smoother than that

are you using a wireless headset? Try turning off all voice chat in options.
If you want your mount to act normal you might wanna change the “Seikret Manual Controls“ in the settings
Go to edit your character and put the pitch on default, it actually says at the bottom something like changing this can make it harder to hear.
On default all the voices sound fine.

For a beta the ps5 version on resolution mode isn't that bad.. even at 30 fps and the performance mode is where it gets ugly in my opinion, as for pc, I wish I had the money for a good rig I didnt even bother trying it on my msi
The Performance mode on PS5 is a real 50/50, in the dessert fighting a balahara it runs butterly smooth with good resolution but if i get near the river with some trees and grass fighting a doshaguma the resolution goes reaaaallyyyy down and i still get FPS drops

I don't understand the issues people are having with this game. I have a 3080ti and the game is running perfect at high settings across the board. What issues are people having? I haven't actually looked at my FPS but I can't imagine it's bad if I don't notice any issues.
I've had two problems with the Beta. I'm getting some stuttering on 'high' settings even though my PC slightly exceeds the recommended specs. And monsters are REALLY prone to area changing. Several time I would catch up to my target then 30 seconds later it would move areas again. Sometimes this would happen multiple times in a row. Caused my hunts to be much longer than they should.
I have to ask because someone did this in a hunt with me but are you chasing it on foot or using the Seikret? Because like I said in one hunt the person was yelling that if always moves and how do we get there so fast. So I asked if he was using the mount and he said no.
Use a luring pod on them when they try to run and they'll come after you instead of changing zones

@piedpiper1185 when using sekrit are you manually speeding it up & controlling it? Haven't had any issues personally with monster leaving. Lure pods also help incredibly with that issue to keep them by you.

I love the game! but the BETA in PC is a mess, i never knew they release a Beta for Origami MHWild, i have a decent rig but i cant play it.
dragons dogma 2 again, the game is CPU limited according to some people. lets hope that dragons dogma 2 optimization has given them some important lessons.

Why can’t you play it? Is it running poorly? Use upscaling, if it looks bad turn up scaling off. If your GPU is older than world don’t expect to run at max settings and get 200+ frames. Just not how gaming works

Yea, this game def made a lot of changes to weapons combat mechanics.. for the most part- better buut, ig that’s subjective.. also, idk if I like the new lance. I kinda wanted them to keep the tackle and the charged slaps… 😢 shit was so good.

@ ik what u mean- it’s different and ur used to something being a certain way that is now not what u remember. I can say that once u adjust and learn how to play the new LS- it’s very rewarding and the counters r powerful- special sheathe isn’t as quick with recovery but we also don’t have quick sheathe , so..
@@kylebennett6169 I just tried the demo again and used the LS more to try and familiarize the new moveset... I guess I sort of got the hang of it now. Of course I still prefer the movesets in World and Rise but Wilds isn't as bad now. Thank you for being so empathetic with me instead of just turning me down. Really appreciate it 😊

I have a 3060 with an i7 and my monitor is 1440p and i get 60 fps on medium and 40 on ultra. So its really not that bad. Just gotta play on low if your hardware is older
People maxing out their 1080 TI by playing on ultra w no dlss and then complain the game is running like shit you can’t make this up.
Mine sits at about 100fps to 144fps(what my cap is at) on 1080p with a 2070super using high settings so maybe people might try just cranking the resolution down a little

Im sure you can get an unstable 60 in some areas yes. I am on 3080 5800x and cant get stable 60 in any area. From low to high settings, it dips down to 40s in base camp.

Okay first of all, people need to stop freaking out about the performance. It was so obvious that this would happen if they released a demo this early, it’s the one reason why I was hoping/expecting they’d start the demo closer to the game’s release (much as I wanted to play it this soon)- not because the performance would bother me, but because people will inevitably be a pain about it. They have stated that the last few months of development will be mostly dedicated to improving performance. The game literally isn’t done. This isn’t even a usual demo, it’s a literal test.
My performance has been somewhere in the middle, differs depending on the graphics settings- honestly better than I’d expected. Though one thing does have me very confused- how are people able to get it to look so good? No matter what setting I change, it’s always super grainy and pretty blurry looking. I’ve even tried entirely neglecting performance and turning everything up to max, but it’s no less grainy and blurry looking. It doesn’t seem to look like that for anyone else based off the clips I’ve seen, anyone know if there’s a way I can make it look normal? Hoping this is just an issue with the beta and not a problem with my pc.
well it is a major concern from the community .. for good reason. the demo confirms it needs a lot of optimization. it runs and looks like shit on consoles.

@@HostefarI don’t know, I felt the same way when I heard the pre release dragons dogma allegations and they all turned out to be true, so I don’t know if capcom will really fix this. They might be spending the next few months thinking about what micro transactions to add, rather than game optimisation.
Rey Dau felt an easier monster than Anjanath to me... Like sure it hits extremely hard, but it does what 2 attacks, rarely 3, in a row? After which it gets exhausted and you can even do the full IG charge and follow-up on him without really having to worry about getting hit. And the moves have big wind-ups as well... ofcourse I'm not saying I haven't carted to him or anything, but cleared Rey Dau on first try no faints... in terms of actual "threat" I felt, Rey Dau was definitely lesser than Anjanath

i have to ask... how is this game any different from all the other monster hunters? don't take me wrong... i love monster hunter... but the last 2 games felt like they were almost the same.
its like they are just repeating the same thing over and over again...
Monster hunter rise was was annoying with that village and kaijus or whatever each time some new monster appeared... The visual styles/filters i felt they were totally an unnecessary waste of time and I could live well without them i just played with the normal visual style. Felt really weird. For the exception of being able to have some more movement control in your ride... MH world was much better for me.
And it feels that there are always monsters being cut, monster that are unique and are missed. I don't know... i didnt even try the one with the single player story i found it weird like it was another kind of game.

The game is unplayable on PC on mid rigs. Such a huge disappointment.
My pc is 4 years outdated. Lower your settings and put it on performance mode. It'll run.
Graphics will be a bit rough but you'll be alright. It's also a beta. Not optimized yet
Most modern games with modern graphics are going to become less and less playable with "mid rigs". It's just a fact of life, no need to get pissy over it. I myself am bummed I can't play Wilds beautifully, but the game looks wonderful enough that you can lower the graphics and/or resolution and still have a beautiful experience.
From what I've seen it seems to be very random. I'm getting relatively consistent 60fps on a 2080ti at 1440p
I have a mid-range PC and it works fine for me.
