You are the literal BEST teacher and instructor, and are SO kind to give us step by step for free. I’ve been wanting to begin my metal smith journey for like 4 years now, but I have a learning disability and get discouraged very easily in a public setting. So this video is the holy grail of what I’ve been searching for 🙏 thank you!
Nice video. The trick with the floss was new to me. I usually have an open backside on the pendants I make so I can push the stone out. Also it reveals more of the stone and saves silver. One thing I do differently is I put the pieces of solder on the outside of the setting rather than on the inside. For two reasons, it's easier to clean up and if some solder remains on the inside of the bezel, it can leave a little hump that increases the risk of breaking the stone when applying pressure while setting the stone. And I really like your saw, I've never seen one like that before.

What is the wire called with the “crowns”? Crowned wire?
gallery wire
Why do you prefer to fuse the jump rings vs soldering them?
I like it mostly because I'm good at it and I don't have to deal with the solder 😅
Oh and solder can also flow too much and solder your rings together. this is more common in small rings
GomeowCreations Thanks 😊
Do you have any ideas on how to elevate our project as you have? The tripod mesh setup could be made, but perhaps there is a product type or name I could search with your keyword suggestions? Thanks!! 🙏🏻
So this is the tripod that I use amzn.to/2Wnoqoj
I have a full list of the tools and materials that I use on Amazon, here is a link to it. amzn.to/2WneyLl
I update this list all of the time and if you happen to buy anything from it I do make a small commission, just so you know.
Fast response and Exactly what I needed! A thousand thank you’s.
