Many years ago they tried to run on the line with Pendolino, but for a lot of reasons (probably the hard slope in some sections) the idea was dropped, sorry for my bad english

Excellent comme toujours avec cette belle ligne de montagne et ses courbes serrées et des rampes de 25, qui hissent le train à près de 800 m d'altitude. Belle surprise que la fin du parcours, avalée à 135, un régal.

Nei primi anni '60, il tunnel di Colli Monte Bove fu teatro di uno strano episodio: approfittando di un rallentamento, un bambino apri' lo sportello e scese da un treno sotto il tunnel; poi vago' per ore al buio, finché non venne ritrovato dai soccorritori.

Whoa ! THE ROMA-Pescara Line! Crossing Aniene Valley, reaching Conca del Fucino plain in Avezzano, boarding upon Marsica and close to Gran Sasso mountain in the Appeninnes! It's a line of beautiful scenery, but also disused and needs refurbishment, cause it's an historic line in Italy! We have a lot in Italy. The astonishing part of the line is in the branch from Avezzano and Sulmona, descending the mountains. i saw u made a lot of beautiful railways cabrides. In Italy Milano-Tirano is a beautiful line, or Brenner Line, Valsugana Line or Venice-Calalzo/Cortina. In the central part this line or the historic Roma-Ancona, which has been modernised in some parts, diesel cabride Faentina which crosses Florence and Faenza. In the South u made turnaround the coast, but a beautiful line is Potenza-Foggia crossing Vulture hills between Apulia and Basilicata, or the Naples-Sorrento (Circumvesuviana Line) close to Vesuvio Vulcan. In Sicily a beautiful line is Palermo- Caltanissetta - Catania, which subdivides Sicily! And many more! i hope u will produce a plenty of lines!!!!!!! thank u!

Linea che negli anni 70 ho usato molte volte. Bel video sempre nitido. Le E464 sono macchine dalle ottime prestazioni sia in accelerazione che in frenata.
Wonderful ride!!! This mountain scenery is simply amazing! I just have a suggestion: maybe change the colour of the subtittle to something darker, or apply a shadow, sometimes it gets hard to read the places where we are going through. ;)

It should be a raw model for all railway videos: clean window, camera quality (at low end but acceptable), quality and sufficient memory card, nice weather and tie of the year, route is beautiful and interesting, ''journey'' is nice, drive is smooth.... It's hard to get windows to stay clean and also to avoid glare/reflection on the glass so camera is mounted outside. Also, it's not about memory card, but about the battery :)

Many thanks for this. Twenty years ago, I travelled this route to Sulmona: so many memories arise. Am I right in thinking that your microphone was outside the cab? There are no typical cab noises (vigilance control, etc), and the mic is picking up flange noise on curves and on crossovers. Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺

Molto bel video! Unico neo, non sono indicate le gallerie salvo la Colli di Monte Bove. Certo che vien da piangere a pensare come è stata ridotta questa magnifica linea dalla orrenda "rete snella" di Mauto Moretti......stazioni abbandonate, binari tagliati, stazioni ingabbiate, assenza di personale, scambi eliminati....e tutto per....risparmiar! Peggiorando la capacità ricettiva della linea.
La cosa scandalosa è il mancato raddoppio Lunghezza Guidonia: un branco di menefreghisti tra politici nazionali, regionali e comunali con l'aiuto di troppo di qualche capetto . 10 km di pianura costati una montagna di soldi e nessun magistrato indaga, nemmeno un metro di raddoppio dopo ormai 30 anni:qualche giornalista che mette assieme un po di numeri (soldi dei contribuenti). L'alta velocità Milano Firenze con gallerie viadotti la grande stazione av di Bologna tutto finito in pochi anni e lì 10 km senza difficoltà solo soldi sprecati e poi tutti i parolai green se ne fregano del green ferroviario e di offrire un servizio decente ai pendolari.

Bellissimo video. Voglio complimentarmi anche per l'iluminazione perfetta, cioè a dire con il sole quasi sempre alle spalle. Cosa purtroppo a cui vedo dedicare attenzione tutt'altro che di frequente. L'illuminazione in un video fa tutta la differenza del mondo. Considerando che da Roma a Avezzano la direzione prevalente è ovest-est, deduco che il video sia stato fatto verso il pomeriggio. Non so se la cosa sia stata casuale o calcolata, in ogni caso non mi stancherò mai di ricordare a chiunque si dedichi a filmare cabride o car ride di usare sempre l'unica e semplicissima regola aurea: negli itinerari con orientamento prevalente nord-sud scegliere sempre per il percorso la direttrice da sud verso nord, nei percorsi con orientamento prevalente est-ovest scegliere sempre per il percorso la direttrice da est a ovest la mattina, e viceversa il pomeriggio. Dovrebbero essere regole più che banali, eppure continuo a vedere decine di video di paesaggi che sarebbero fantastici ma vengono totalmente rovinati da gente che considera la direzione del sole un optional e finisce per uccidere colori, contrasto e prospettiva a causa del contro sole per tutto il tempo.

@@RailRelaxation Thank you, I agree it might not be always possible, but what counts is being aware of how much a correct lighting (that basically boils down to sun orientation), affects the video quality, and hence getting the best from an appropriate planning. Keep doing the good work.

Linea stupenda. Fatta molte volte negli anni '80 pere lavoro da Pescara a Roma. I lavori del raddoppio della Roma Pescara, sono iniziati nel 1979, ma come sempre le varie finanziarie dello Stato hanno periodicamente bloccato e ripreso il progetto. Alla fine questa tratta sotto utilizzata è fondamentale come traversa Tirreno - Adriatico, ma ai politici non gliene frega nulla !!!
The bottom 15% or so of your videos always seems darker by a little bit. It's as if a horizontal band of color is being overlayed on the video with a low opacity. Is there a reason for that? I only see it on this channel, so it must be something with the videos. Great work, by the way. I always enjoy your content!
@jgbcodemonkey Thank you for mentioning this. I did not notice that line. It is because of the text that I put on top of the video, that line makes the text more readable. I will see what I can do to improve that.
@RailRelaxation My suggestion, as a video-maker, is that in your caption generator you use either a black outline to the text, or a small drop shadow.
I know some of the Italy videos are kind of interspersed among other things. I was just wondering if the rest of this run, from Avezzano to Pescara, kind of got lost in the shuffle.

Comunque sia, a parte le ottime riprese, sotto le chiappe del macchinista c'è un serio problema al bordino delle ruote di qualche asse; basta entrare su una livelletta di curva, destra o sinistra che sia, si ode un sinistro rumore di mancata manutenzione !
Poichè ci sono centinaia di persone che giornalmente fanno questa tratta andata e ritorno e per 365 giorni all'anno sarebbe anche il caso che le FS raddoppiassero la linea in maniera tale da non fare perdere delle ore solo per fare poco più di 100Km
@@boukhrissamine8406 Sicuramente, ma a inizio video rimane proprio bloccato ai 30. Poi, quando decide di accelerare, lo fa anche abbastanza celermente. È semplicemente il macchinista che rispetta i limiti di velocità imposti. Mi chiedevo come mai per chilometri e chilometri ci fossero limiti di velocità così bassi. Se in partenza è comprensibile, dalla fine della banchina in poi non capisco quale sia la necessità di tenere una velocità così bassa.
Certo che potrebbero restaurarle le pensiline a termini, sono anni che fanno schifo, anche per una questione di immagine con i turisti stranieri sia per l'italia che per trenitalia.

Molto bel video! Unico neo, non sono indicate le gallerie salvo la Colli di Monte Bove. Certo che vien da piangere a pensare come è stata ridotta questa magnifica linea dalla orrenda "rete snella" di Mauto Moretti......stazioni abbandonate, binari tagliati, stazioni ingabbiate, assenza di personale, scambi eliminati....e tutto per....risparmiar! Peggiorando la capacità ricettiva della linea.

La cosa scandalosa è il mancato raddoppio Lunghezza Guidonia: un branco di menefreghisti tra politici nazionali, regionali e comunali con l'aiuto di troppo di qualche capetto . 10 km di pianura costati una montagna di soldi e nessun magistrato indaga, nemmeno un metro di raddoppio dopo ormai 30 anni:qualche giornalista che mette assieme un po di numeri (soldi dei contribuenti). L'alta velocità Milano Firenze con gallerie viadotti la grande stazione av di Bologna tutto finito in pochi anni e lì 10 km senza difficoltà solo soldi sprecati e poi tutti i parolai green se ne fregano del green ferroviario e di offrire un servizio decente ai pendolari.
ho fatto questa linea da Roma a Chieti, dove facevo il servizio militare, anni 80. mamma mia, non si arrivava mai...

Bellissimo video. Voglio complimentarmi anche per l'iluminazione perfetta, cioè a dire con il sole quasi sempre alle spalle. Cosa purtroppo a cui vedo dedicare attenzione tutt'altro che di frequente.
L'illuminazione in un video fa tutta la differenza del mondo.
Considerando che da Roma a Avezzano la direzione prevalente è ovest-est, deduco che il video sia stato fatto verso il pomeriggio. Non so se la cosa sia stata casuale o calcolata, in ogni caso non mi stancherò mai di ricordare a chiunque si dedichi a filmare cabride o car ride di usare sempre l'unica e semplicissima regola aurea: negli itinerari con orientamento prevalente nord-sud scegliere sempre per il percorso la direttrice da sud verso nord, nei percorsi con orientamento prevalente est-ovest scegliere sempre per il percorso la direttrice da est a ovest la mattina, e viceversa il pomeriggio.
Dovrebbero essere regole più che banali, eppure continuo a vedere decine di video di paesaggi che sarebbero fantastici ma vengono totalmente rovinati da gente che considera la direzione del sole un optional e finisce per uccidere colori, contrasto e prospettiva a causa del contro sole per tutto il tempo.

@@RailRelaxation Thank you, I agree it might not be always possible, but what counts is being aware of how much a correct lighting (that basically boils down to sun orientation), affects the video quality, and hence getting the best from an appropriate planning.

Linea stupenda. Fatta molte volte negli anni '80 pere lavoro da Pescara a Roma. I lavori del raddoppio della Roma Pescara, sono iniziati nel 1979, ma come sempre le varie finanziarie dello Stato hanno periodicamente bloccato e ripreso il progetto. Alla fine questa tratta sotto utilizzata è fondamentale come traversa Tirreno - Adriatico, ma ai politici non gliene frega nulla !!!

The bottom 15% or so of your videos always seems darker by a little bit. It's as if a horizontal band of color is being overlayed on the video with a low opacity. Is there a reason for that? I only see it on this channel, so it must be something with the videos. Great work, by the way. I always enjoy your content!
@jgbcodemonkey Thank you for mentioning this. I did not notice that line. It is because of the text that I put on top of the video, that line makes the text more readable. I will see what I can do to improve that.
@RailRelaxation My suggestion, as a video-maker, is that in your caption generator you use either a black outline to the text, or a small drop shadow.

@@boukhrissamine8406 Sicuramente, ma a inizio video rimane proprio bloccato ai 30. Poi, quando decide di accelerare, lo fa anche abbastanza celermente. È semplicemente il macchinista che rispetta i limiti di velocità imposti. Mi chiedevo come mai per chilometri e chilometri ci fossero limiti di velocità così bassi. Se in partenza è comprensibile, dalla fine della banchina in poi non capisco quale sia la necessità di tenere una velocità così bassa.
