You're opinion is 100% valid and the reason why many locals leave Sturgis during the Rally. 30+ years ago it was about the races and the hill climb competitions. Then at night everyone went downtown (or to the city park) and bike watched, people watched, drank too much and had a good time. My guess is today most don't even know the races are still being held. These days it's all about the spectacle and over the top costumes. Overpriced doo dads. T&A shows at the big, overcharging campgrounds. It's a complete capitalist venture at this point. Which is why I've mentioned in all your previous Sturgis vids...get out here during the off-Rally time and ride. So much better and worth your time. All that said the rally should be experienced by every biker at least once. On a side note, Deadwood sold its soul to the gaming industry years ago so not much different than Sturgis in terms of being a one trick pony. When I go back to the Hills, I prefer Spearfish or RC. To each their own.
The biggest thing messing with the new electric bikes, is absolutely everything that I love my harley-davidsons for in the first place. Beautiful looking, badass sounding, great handling, and all around coolest bikes in the world.
Looks like Andrew is truly living that "in the moment" life style that ive been chasing. When i was in the Army, i tended to live in the moment, because what other choice did i have. I honestly feel that being in the Army actually forced me to live MORE carefree than ive been able to as a civilian. Every day off was a day i spent traveling, having fun with friends and just enjoying EVERY LITTLE THING that life sent my way, Its a feeling that ive been chasing ever since getting out.
I ride a Kawasaki Voyager and love it. However when I buy a Harley I will definitely make the 4hr ride and purchase from Laidlaw. Love these videos and the whole feeling that you're able to convey with the help of your group. Great job to all!!!!
Matt, I know it's late but thanks for the videos. Went from Boston all the way out and back. Picked up a friend in NC via the Blue Ridge and Tennessee, and boring across Texas, Arkansas, and New Mexico, to the Grand Canyon, up through Zion and Bryce, through Utah, Grand Teton, Yellowstone, The Big Horn, Beartooth at 11,000 feet, and then into SD and all about Deadwood, Keystone, Mt. Rushmore, Needles, Iron Mountain, Sturgis, and back home. 7400miles 18 days. Many of the same as you guys through Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, and South Dakota. Great Riding, but too bad it's so far away. Still trying to put all mine together, photo and video Thanks again,

Traveling from Nova Scotia, Canada to Sturgis and Back. 3 week road trip. Definitely a bucket list trip. Plus i think im gonna do the sturgis pinstripe like you guys did. Very nice. Do you remember the price for the pin striping? Gotta add it to the budget. If you guys are heading to Sturgis again in 2024 we would love to met up and go for a ride or do a dinner. You'll have to hang with 5 Indian Riders and a Victory Rider (thats me). All the best. Keep the vids coming, they're super fun to watch.
Told myself I’ll watch the entire chronicles in one go once you guys are finished. How many do you guys have left to release? Matt, I am also in LA now. When is the best day to visit when you are around? I’ll pop up and say hi quickly, and buy a little souvenir as well.
That was the day I arrived to the Chip. Had gotten the bike unloaded and was about to head to town for a bit then the plan was to go to Kickstands for a concert that night. Gotten to town and hung out for about 30 minutes and then the rain started. So no Kickstands that night. Just hung out at the camper and got to hang out with the neighbors.
I was headed to West Yellowstone MT from Sacramento, CA . I was passed by some Harley Guys but repassed them all on my BMW K1600GT right before I took the Winnamucka Exit of what ever state that is with my hands raised and fist clinched doing my best Dale Earnhardt impression. I thought it was you.

That new CVO is sweet and it would be awesome to own 😮 I love my 15 CVO street glide and have been blessed to ride 35k+ miles on it so far 😀 never in a million years would I thought I would own one.
