Nothing beats getting out on the open road….your description of the touring experience is RIGHT ON! I am riding to Laconia, Americade, and Sturgis this summer ❤ from North Texas….and I hope to squeeze in a trip to the West as well. Safe travels to all!
Wonderful to see the Laidlaw crew again! Good to see young(er) blood members joining the crew! As expected, another well crafted and well edited video that was a joy to watch. Thank you!
Another great video. Also very timely. My wife and I are 10 days into a 43 day ride from Florida to California (current location), then to Prescott, South Rim, Page, North Rim, Grand Escalante, Monument Valley, Spearfish, Yellowstone, etc etc. Many areas we will hit have been featured in your videos. My wife is on a 2017 Street Glide, I'm on a 2017 Ultra Classic. Thanks for the many great tips and suggestions on places to visit. It has added much value to our trip!
Matt, great production, you put the experience into words. The young mans explanation of how the canyon doesn't look real is so accurate, thanks for sharing.
You guys rode right past my home in Prescott. I bought 3 bikes from Laidlaw's when I lived in Glendora. 80's Sportster AMF (what a jewel..lol) 2000 Dyna and late 2000 Road king. I got to meet your Grandfather, the old man himself riding an early 1900 H/D around the lot when I took delivery on the Road King. He came up and shook my hand with a thank you, nice guy.....Ride on.
Matt, thank you for documenting your travel & adventures. I always look forward to your videos, the time & care you put into your editing really shows!

Loved your words Matt I paraphrased you!…To those of you who are thinking about getting into Motorcycle Touring, it isn’t always easy, and it isn’t always comfortable. You may have to get over the intimidation of riding a heavy motorcycle. There may be times out on the road where it is really, really, hot or there may be times when it is really, really, cold. There’s going to be times when the weather just doesn’t cooperate. Maybe you hit an unexpected rainstorm, or maybe you hit other unfavorable road conditions. Sometimes there will be unfortunate mechanical issues, maybe you hit a nail and you get a flat. I guess I’m saying, sometimes motorcycle touring isnt the most easy or predictable thing in the world! But I tell you what, all the time and effort and risk is worth it!When you have a moment, when you’re riding over the High Desert and the sun is setting. Sometimes these perfect moments only happen once or twice on a motorcycle trip. Sometimes it’s only for an hour. Sometimes it’s for three or four hours. But these are the moments that you never forget about. What I have learned in motorcycling is that if you can put yourself in the right place at the right time with a little bit of luck, being on the road on two wheels has easily brought me some of the coolest memories of my life. And at these moments you are reminded why you are a motorcyclist. Why you go to the effort to endure a long road trip in the heat and in the cold and in the rain and you swing your leg over a raw engine and blaze down the open highway. I think those of us that will do things, that very few people will do will also get rewarded in a way that very few people will ever be rewarded in! I think that Motorcycle Touring is one of those things that a very low percentage of people are willing to do, and because of that a very few people will ever be able to experience.
Sometimes I forget you guys are a dealership cause of all the awesome content you guys put out. You and J.E.T Films are my favorite motorcycle TH-camrs. And since J.E.T only drops like 2 videos a year, I find myself here a lot lol. Keep up the good work and ride safe!
Matt, one of the aspects of your videos I appreciate is that you not only show the awesome portions of your trips, but you show the warts as well. Your honesty is refreshing because anyone who has ever taken road trips knows that they are not always great. I have always liked the Street Glide more than the Road Glide, but my son and I visited our local dealer last weekend, and we are on board with the Road Glide over the Street Glide at this point.
Thanks for the feedback. I think sometimes people are more interested in the bad parts too. Haha. I just try to paint a true picture of how the trip went. Thanks for the comment. Yes, the road glide is a sharp looking motorcycle.
