Having breakfast while watching a new episode of the Sturgis chronicles. Doesn't get any better than this! Absolutely reliving every moment, thanks for the awesome editing, Matt!
Fantastic editing for sure! Audio is unreal, sounds great with headphones. First class with 1950's tubes and 15" full range speakers. Thanks for all your hard work Matt Laidlaw. Your cool Stefan. Don't let them California boys change your mellow.
Probably the most tasteful rendition of Sturgis yet. That is my 1982 GS 750e Suzuki at 13:20. We spent a massive amount of time in the Black Hills over the years. Brings tears to my eyes to see him. But, I think he is probably pretty happy to be on display. I always kept him pristine.
50th Anniversary. Tornadoes, rain, snow, started by myself. Met fantastic friends along the way. no tat or stipes,,, 87 Custom Low Rider. Earned the badge.
You all picked the best! Dan Kite does the cleanest lettering, pin striping, stenciling, etc. He's done a few bikes and helmets for me over the past several years. Dude is legit
I like how the guys are all down to earth and seem to enjoy riding and hanging out together. Very much enjoying this series. Thank you for all the hard work it must take to put these videos out for everyone to enjoy.
These episodes are so killer, Matt. So many funny moments and it’s nice to see the guys out of the shop letting their real personalities show, yours included. Your dry sense of humor cracks me up and Andrew is also hilarious to watch as well. Can’t wait to see the next episode. Ride on, brother!
Matt had said in a previous video that Riders tend to claim a road, and the road claims them. Well I think the same can be said of rallies. Been to several of the big rallies and some of the smaller ones all over the country. Sturgis is the best hands down. That road to the FTS is when I know I have made it home. Bear Butte to the south of the saloon with a moon overhead is the moment that I "have arrived". Thank you for a great series of videos Matt. You do great work. Very inspiring.
Great Video Matt. It was great meeting you! I am the Rumble On Salesman you met out front of the Dealership. Hope to see you guys next year😀👍. Sturgis 2024 😎👍.
A few things.. Ohh yeah on the Batwing 👍🏻, the RG is pretty nice but I haven't had enough of the cool aid to swap over.. Stefan looks and sounds like our man Arnold (from the neck up!), When I was a kid all the tourist from Germany wore socks and sandals with some funky shorts maybe had suspenders on em 🤣 so he's a pretty cool dude already 👍🏻, and finally, I think I'd rather do business with that Laidlaw fella, I'm thinking he has integrity I'm after 👍🏻👍🏻 no worries there!
Finally Episode 4! Perfecto! Great video like always! BTW all your staff at Laidlaws Harley Davidson ROCK you guys have my business as long as I ride Harleys!!!!!
@MattLaidlaw Nice!! I'm gonna have to come down and check out the dealership! Maybe check out some good riding in your area if you want to do a Sunday ride sometime. Just got back from Vegas and that dealership was awesome
Your videos are incredibly enjoyable to watch! Several times, I found myself smiling with you guys. Almost like I was there. Awesome! Epic! Keep 'em coming! I'm really jonesing to ride to Sturgis now.
The best was that at ~5:55 into the video, you literally didn’t know what day it was. Brilliant! And I LOVE the bike tattoos… I’m sure that when you all trade up eventually, you will keep the side covers as wall art and get a replacement cover, right?
Another great video Matt 💯, it's been a great series. Lol at moving Danny and Parry's bike. I did wonder why the alarm didn't go off lol. $400 dollars for a tattoo, that shop was havin' a laugh!!! 😮
I absolutely hate being around so many people, so I will never go to the Sturgis rally. I may go there sometime when the rally isn't going on. Have to say the pinstriping looked fabulous.
Another awesome installment in the series. I am going to ride out to Sturgis one of these years (hopefully, 2024), and now I have a much better idea of what to expect. Black Hills Harley-Davidson must have an arrangement with the Motor Company in order to have that much inventory for the rally, and I'm guessing that between BHHD and the Motor Company, they have a pretty good idea how many bikes they are going to sell that week.
Matt love the series, you definitely have the gift for this!! I love the sturgis paintings on all the bike side covers awesome touch. I’ve never been to sturgis during the rally, seems to be a great call going a couple days before the rally officially starts and all the craziness and major crowds roll in.
That was a amazing Report you did show me / us of the Sturgis Central 👍😀 ... that with the Pin Stripe Bush was a much better Idea than the Tattoo ( so I mine as a older Man ( Fan of your Crew ) ) ... And I have a please to you, please let Stefan his owen Personalety, He is a nice Stranger and not a Maskot Dudle ... So now I wish you all a good Experience ... have Joy ... Heartly good Wishes Your Arne 👋 😊 From the Northern Highlands of Germany
Another great installment! When are you guys coming to the east coast? I think the new cvo road glide looks too much like the challenger. Team street glide!
Andrew, didn’t you buy a ‘22 ultra limited? I thought you were embracing the two gray hairs you had? LOL I’m not sure I could go back to touring on a lesser model! I’m a large type fan of the ultra limited & also have a low rider s for the poker runs and such.
@MattLaidlaw i know. I was completely joking. Besides i completely get why you would stretch out uploading all these videos anyways. And plus your hardwork really shows with the editing. Its top notch. Its alot cooler the way you're doing it rather than just like 1 or 2 videos and not showing everything you've done. Ive been following your channel since i started riding 9 years ago and i have nothing but respect for all you do.
Whilst I know that the UK is not America, over here the conversation back 20 or 30 years ago used to involve the subject of Kent Custom bike show or the 'Bulldog bash' at a now disused drag strip. Both were run by the Hells Angels and were nothing more than lots of people getting drunk and wasted at something that was actually quite sad. Fast forward to 2009 and I attended a HOG rally in Scotland called 'Thunder in the Glenns' that was of a similar nature (but MUCH smaller) than the sort of things you have in the 'States, something that was so unimpressive that I actually left and went on a mini touring holiday around Scotland because much as I love Harleys, I prefer to actually ride my bikes rather than sit around watching other people watching other people ! The UK is a lot smaller so there isn't as much riding needed to get to these 'rallies', and people actually go to HOG rallies in Europe by getting dealers to ship the bikes out to hotels near the rally site , fly to the destination and just ride their bikes into the rally from their hotels..... I think maybe they need to watch the movie Wild Hogs and realise that it's the riding that counts not the destination !
Street Glide all the way…both are awesome….thinking of trading in my 2017RKS and 2020 SGS. 2 great bikes but I’m getting old and not riding enough. Always wanted a CVO…YOLO!
Having breakfast while watching a new episode of the Sturgis chronicles. Doesn't get any better than this! Absolutely reliving every moment, thanks for the awesome editing, Matt!
Thanks Stefan. It’s been fun reliving the trip.
Fantastic editing for sure! Audio is unreal, sounds great with headphones. First class with 1950's tubes and 15" full range speakers. Thanks for all your hard work Matt Laidlaw. Your cool Stefan. Don't let them California boys change your mellow.
Matt, you may not pump out the videos like some others, but when you do they’re top notch!
Quality over speed and quantity
Great Road Trip, Steffan Is The Coolest Dude In Sturgest !!!
Haha. Yes he is.
Outstanding video Matt! “Sturgis 2023” written on the side cover is an awesome idea. And Stefan is definitely a cool guy now!
70 years old don't even ride and boy oh boy wish I could ! Another great blog matt just love the whole biker vibe
Sounds like the message I try to communicate is coming across. Haha. Thanks for the comment.
You just need a trike.

🤘🏼 love it.
I appreciate that you make videos that I can watch with my grandkids.
I try to keep them fairly clean. Glad you’re enjoying them with your grand kids 👍🏼
Getting better and better. Awesome idea to get your bikes pinned.
It was a cool thing. Credit to Andrew on that one.
This series is fantastic. Well done👌👌
Matt,
I really appreciate you sharing your experience with us.
I’m 69 and have never been to Sturgis. This was the next best thing!
Thanks So Much!!!
You all picked the best! Dan Kite does the cleanest lettering, pin striping, stenciling, etc. He's done a few bikes and helmets for me over the past several years. Dude is legit
Dan Kite is the man for sure. Incredible work!!
I would like to get my bike done
I think you need to get Steffan to say "I'll be back". Fun times, thanks guys.
Haha. We have many times but not on camera for some reason. I’ll get it done next time.
I like how the guys are all down to earth and seem to enjoy riding and hanging out together. Very much enjoying this series. Thank you for all the hard work it must take to put these videos out for everyone to enjoy.

Haha thanks man. Turns out we are all
Just big kids having fun on our toys.
Great choice on cigars.

Love the reference. Sounds like you had "that moment." I love it. Thanks for the Comment
Another homerun for Matt, damn I LOVE these episodes 👍🏻
Thank you sir. I seriously appreciate the generous comments.

Great Video Matt. It was great meeting you! I am the Rumble On Salesman you met out front of the Dealership. Hope to see you guys next year😀👍. Sturgis 2024 😎👍.
What’s up! It was good to meet you. I hope we cross paths again. I’d love to do sturgis every year but I might not make it next year 😫
The $400 tattoos are ridiculous!
Matt I’m really enjoying your Sturgis videos. Such a great group of people.
What an epic series this is. 👊
Thank you 👊
A few things..

Great video Matt and crew. Glad you guys got to enjoy one nice sunny day to explore Sturgis. It's been an awesome series !
Yea, we are glad we got there 4 days early so we could mostly have sunshine during our trip.
Stefen Rocks! Should be next German CEO after Jochen Zeitz
🤣 maybe. Why not.
As long as I can keep on flying my Airbusses...
Another cool episode! 👍Thanks for sharing Matt!
Thanks for watching!
Finally Episode 4! Perfecto! Great video like always! BTW all your staff at Laidlaws Harley Davidson ROCK you guys have my business as long as I ride Harleys!!!!!
Licensed cool for sure, honorary German rocks.!

Another awesome episode!! Can't wait to see the next one
Coming!
@MattLaidlaw
Nice!! I'm gonna have to come down and check out the dealership! Maybe check out some good riding in your area if you want to do a Sunday ride sometime. Just got back from Vegas and that dealership was awesome
Tattoo the bike. Great idea!👍
Seemed like a good alternative.
Great video Matt.
Can't wait to see how Bogan reacted the bikes being moved 😅
Looks like one of the structures is Arlen Ness' 57 chevy bike!!
I’m going in to work an hour early so I can watch Ep4 on my big screen 😂😂😂. Lovin this series 👍
Haha. Love it. 👍🏼
Thanks again Matt and company........getting interesting ;)
Glad to hear it!
Good job. Thanks for being classy. We hope to visit your dealer next year.
Your videos are incredibly enjoyable to watch! Several times, I found myself smiling with you guys. Almost like I was there. Awesome! Epic! Keep 'em coming! I'm really jonesing to ride to Sturgis now.

Haha. We got “lost” in Sturgis. The wall art sounds good. I’m not sure what I’ll do. Maybe I’ll let the cover stay with the bike. I’m not sure.
Ohhh i love this series. Waiting for the next episode!
Another great method of getting those plastic burrs off the cables ties is, twist off the excess at base with your needle nose. Great video!
Another great video Matt 💯, it's been a great series. Lol at moving Danny and Parry's bike. I did wonder why the alarm didn't go off lol.
$400 dollars for a tattoo, that shop was havin' a laugh!!! 😮
Haha thanks! The bikes just had the stock security. It’s just a flashing light. No siren from the factory on any bike except CVOs
Yes sir, I enjoyed this video! Thanks for sharing and keep it coming 👍🏽
Will do! Thank you
This episode is rad! Matt, well done with the drone and POV capture. Epic! Makes me want to put Sturgis on my list for next year!
thank you. Yea, get out to sturgis for sure.
Your videos are so rad! Great group of guys. Love the side cover tattoos 😊
Haha. Thanks 🤘🏼
YOLO .. 👍🏼🥃 🇺🇸
Thanks for a great video ..tops off with you going to the full throttle saloon..that is the best place at Sturgis....👍👍🤘
I gotta go back when it’s hoppin’
Gotta say it again, good job on the editing. Production value is top notch. Audio sounds great! Hats off to you sir and your crew.
Wait there's more, yeah! Lol , I've watched them several times over, great work

That's awesome! Dan Kite did my bike at Ohio Bike Week a few years back.
He’s good!!!
It's gets better every episode
Haha thanks for for watching man. 👍🏼
Great series Matt. Some of the best editing anywhere.
Thank you sir!
Cool seeing your coverage..Went for my first time in 2008...Have only missed a couple of years since....Love it out there
Awesome series Matt, I’ve never been either, probably won’t ever get the chance 😢
Make it happen man. You only live once.
These documentaries could be on National Geographic or the Discovery Channel.
Even better, they’re on TH-cam 😅
I like the Sturgis pin striping!
Very Nice! Appreciate all the hard work!
Thanks for watching.
Man I miss him I cried through this video one of the best 😢 love ya brother RIP
Great vid. I bought about a year ago the exact same HD riding shoes that Stephan bought. Very comfortable. He will like them.
Thank you. Good to know. 👍🏼
He sure does!!!
Ah, I just love your droopiesque way to comment your adventures :-) and the excellent quality of your footage
I absolutely hate being around so many people, so I will never go to the Sturgis rally. I may go there sometime when the rally isn't going on. Have to say the pinstriping looked fabulous.
Yes, go before or after the rally. I hate waiting in lines and crowds myself which is why we went 5 days early.
Another fantastic blog
Keep them coming

Road Glide, Whiskey Neat!! No Contest for me. Stephan looks cooler in the ball cap. Full Throttle Saloon Rocks!!
I agree, as I'm a Road Glide Guy anyway...
Road Glide, no buffering when passing big rigs!
Great touch with the pin stripes 😎👌
Awesome as usual Matt, love your posts- definitely one of the best Sturgis trip diaries out there
Looks like a great trip I would definitely choose a street Quiet
Outstanding series!

He did but then sold it! Dude goes through bikes quick.
Another great video Matthew
Matt, inquiring minds want to know - brand of leather vest you're wearing? Thanks...
Ended on a cliff hangar!
Haha yup.
*Hell yeah brother* hgehe first comm, love this series GG
Those boots are sick
I can't believe its october and I'm seeing "new" sturgis videos lol.
Just kidding. I love your videos regardless.
Hah! I got a dealership to run, kids to take care of, and each video is 20+ hours of editing.
@MattLaidlaw i know. I was completely joking. Besides i completely get why you would stretch out uploading all these videos anyways. And plus your hardwork really shows with the editing. Its top notch.

8:47 solid inventory gents
I wish Andrew would’ve let me come on this trip.
Sorry man. Just know. It’s personal. Not business 😉
Street Glide all the way…both are awesome….thinking of trading in my 2017RKS and 2020 SGS. 2 great bikes but I’m getting old and not riding enough. Always wanted a CVO…YOLO!
What vest is that you’re wearing?
Harley Davidson if you have to explain it they wouldn't understand. 🤠 thing... 💯🇺🇸
I visited Sturgis a couple weeks after Bike Week last year and I must say, there is absolutely nothing to see in Sturgis outside of the rally week.
