Discover who you are/who am I? The basic spiritual question in Indian philosophy and the answer to this question is given by different scriptures, accepting the authority of the vedas.
What is the nature of the soul?
Soul is not the body, not the mind, not the intellect.
    Souls are immortal.
Soul is not the body it is not matter.
When mind becomes purified we will be situated in the self on the platform of the soul.
About Maharshi Patanjali, one of the six sages who wrote Shad Darshan (the six-philosophical theses,) is a highly regarded Sanskrit scholar with multifaceted dimensions. His Yog Sutras(also known as Yog Darshan) that primarily deals with sadhana or spiritual practices is in the form of sutras. These sutras are “simple yet effective aphorisms that have strung the philosophy,” says Swami Mukundananda ji. The Yog Sutras are not only ancient but also very practical. Modern Psychologists too are discovering its utility in guarding or in regaining mental health.
In this preamble to Patanjali Yog Sutras, Swamiji introduces us to one of the primary requisites for spiritual progress, while answering these questions in a lucid manner - Who is Patanjali? What was the purpose of his birth? How did Yog Sutras come about? What are the elements of Yog Sutras?.

Swami Mukundananda Ji shared a profound message: to enjoy life and live in the moment. He also emphasized the importance of recognizing that we are not just our physical bodies, and seeing things objectively. This knowledge is truly inspirational and we thank Swami Ji for sharing it. Who am I? Pure spirit, the soul, consciousness, - not matter, not the body, not the intellect, not the ego. Eternal, all pervading, without a beginning, without an end!

In this philosophically deep and totally mind-blowing lecture, Swamiji imparts the knowledge of the Vedic system and how various “Darshans” describe the nature of the soul. This commentary can only be appreciated by listening to it repeatedly; it cannot be paraphrased or summarized in words. Thank you, Swamiji!

Eternal tiny invisible soul within the body. That’s who I am. The soul radiates consciousness that enlivens the body. Without the soul the body is lifeless.

We are soul and not the body. When the soul leaves body has no value. Thanks Swamiji

The moment the soul leaves the body, all the organs stop functioning. This is because the soul is the basis of life whether it is the plants, animals or birds. Our scriptures say that the soul is smaller than the 100th part of a string of hair. The soul spreads its consciousness to all parts of the body and energizes it. So Swamiji suggests that we should accept the existence of a soul. Thank you, Swamiji!

It is the soul present in the body giving consciousness to the body.

Good training is done bySwamiji, asGuruji distributed God's knowledge. Soul is just like source of light n it is spreading consciousness throughout the body. We are not the matter, mind, intellect, body but the soul(who is eternal).

Swamiji so beautifully explains that as human beings, we identify with our body because of a stream of thoughts that pervades the mind. This state will dissolve when the body dies and the soul takes on a new form at each reincarnation. Thank you, Swamiji!

This question that great philosophers have pondered through the ages - Who am I? Swami Mukundananda provides a most practical answer that allows for deep thought. A tiny part of God I am. Well worth listening to the short 12-minute video.
