Great tutorial! Can learners adjust the speed of the videos once published?
Camtasia includes what they call Smart Player Options where you can select to produce your project with a controller. This player control includes play/pause, audio controls, a scrub bar to zip forward or backwards along the timeline and an icon to go full screen for the video. There is a settings icon that learners can use to access the playback speed as well..
@@CaptivateTeacher thank you so much!!
@@camilaperpignano6177 You're welcome, and thanks for watching.
Nice reminder, Paul! Have you found a solution to customize a quiz inside of Camtasia? Do we have to edit the zipped file changing the code?
my advice is to keep your source files and republish if you anticipate needing to change it.
@@CaptivateTeacher thanks! But I mean if we could customise further the look and feel of the quiz! Probably not!
I've never tried but what you could do is look for .js files in the package.
@@CaptivateTeacher thanks Paul, I will go for it 👨💻
Best of luck.
Great Video. Can hotspots be used as a quiz question?
Yes, they can. in fact, any interactive objects in Captivate can be used to contribute to a student's final score. If you still have trouble with this, you can purchase some one-on-one time with me, and I can review it with you. bit.ly/Cp1on1
@@CaptivateTeacher Thanks for your swift reply Paul. Slight misunderstanding or I am just confused. I meant, can I use hotspots as graded questions in Camtasia video? Instead of having to import the video into Adobe then add hotspots. Sorry for the confusion.
@@garym1771 oh I really should have looked at which video you were talking about. Good question. I’ve never tried. Maybe that would make a good video. I’ll check it out.
Hi. how can we create an interactive animated scorm compliant elearning? What are the proper tools for this purpose?
My tool of choice is Adobe Captivate, however you can use authoring tools like Articulate 360, Lectora, etc. Just Google search elearning authoring tools to see your options.
Hello, I have a question. I have several dozen videos that are in the MP4 format. Is there a way I can upload my videos to Camtisia and then convert them to a SCORM file?
Absolutely. You don’t have to record videos in Camtasia in order to use them to produce SCORM compliant training. Your own videos can work also.
@@CaptivateTeacher Thanks for responding Paul. I am trying to determine how long it will take for each video that we have. Most of my videos are between 5 and 6 mins long. Could you provide an estimate of how long it would take to do ea video?
Before doing this for all several dozen videos do just one and pay attention to the time it takes to get a sense of how long this whole project will take.
