As Auburn fan I think with Kayden proctor being better and with all those elite last recruiting cycle being sophomores by now should help them vs Michigan who on top of Michigan being without their best offensive lineman which will hurt them alot and I think except for JJ McCarthy being a future NFL star I don't see Michigan winning this game unless Michigan runs the ball somehow with a month to prepare with guys like Dallas Turner and Caleb downs and others getting better will help
Josh, in 2 games last year and 12 this year Milroe’s had more int’s dropped than he’s thrown, Michigan’s secondary will catch a couple of those and that would be the difference in game
Thank you. BAMA BY 90
The Rose Bowl is a place of firsts for the Alabama Crimson Tide. The 1925 squad, lead by Johnny Mac Brown, defeated the Washington Huskies 20-19 to win the school's first national championship. Wallace Wade and Frank Thomas both won their first National Championship in Pasadena. While the 2009 team gave coach Nick Saban his first title at Alabama in the grand old venue.

texas/bama ey? they facing off in mario cart or something?
Harbaugh has prepared teams for NFC championship games and for a Super Bowl and he came within a throw in the endzone of winning one. He pretty much always gets it done. Preparing a College football team for a big game for him is child's play. His issue is in this case he is facing off against an even better preparer in Saban. But ultimately this will come down to talent and drive by the players.
The whole season, the narrative has been building for Michigan. All odds against them. All teams against them but still they prevail... It's going to be glorious
Michigan final strength of schedule rating is 41.8 (47th). Alabama strength of schedule rating is 115.3 (3rd). Just what odds have been against UM? That a mostly lackluster Big 10 team would be able to beat you? I am not counting Penn State, Ohio State, or even Maryland. If Bama played your schedule, they would be 13-0. If Georgia, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, or LSU played that schedule, they would all probably be 13-0. Heck, even Vandy would probably be at least 9-4.
What narrative lmao. They've been top 5 all year and have been favored in every single game they've played. Are you on drugs???????

Wallace Wade put Southern college football on the map in 1926.
lol the sec homer picks the sec team. What a surprise 😂
Exactly lol we knew he wasn’t gonna piss his precious southern fans off
There’s a lot of homerism in the comments. The questions for Michigan is will their offensive line play improve or at least hold steady with their starting All-American guard out and can they break tendencies enough to scheme open some passing lanes to avoid playing in a phone booth. For Bama they need to guard against occasional sloppy play that they have been able to get away with until now. I disagree with Pate about where the pressure lies. Saban and Bama are almost expected to contend no matter the year. He’s won 7 national titles and they are the epitome of a clutch program. Michigan meanwhile is the perennial paper tiger that everyone mockingly expects to fold when the pressure is on as they have done the past two tries. As far as strength of competition is concerned the SEC may not be as deserving of the praise it has received in the past. The Big Ten definitely has some stinkers and the top of the Big Ten may not be dynamic but they play sound football and don’t beat themselves. We will see.
No homerism. He picked Bama to win it all at the beginning of the season
The SEC is still what it is. Georgia was one of the 4 best teams. LSU is the best 3 loss team in the country. Alabama beat both of them. Alabama rolls Michigan.
There is homerism on all sides. The Michigan fanboys have too much confidence based on their prior body of work in the playoff. SEC boosters live off prior seasons results as proof positive that history will repeat itself even though the league’s out-of-conference record doesn’t show them to be the juggernaut we have seen in over the past 15 years. This is why they play the games.
Bama got punkd

I think if bama comes out and is controlling the line by the second or third quarter like they did Georgia bama wins by 2+ touchdowns
Michigan has had the best O line in college football 3 years in a row, has the second best defense, and Alabama literally just struggled against a 6-6 auburn and needed a last second touchdown to win. Coming out and saying Alabama is like past years and will win by 2 scores is insane.

I’m curious why there is no reference to coaching as an impact to the results.
Why do I never see just a size matchup for the offensive and defensive lines? I mean if someone has like 80lbs and 3 inches on you I would really wonder how that matters in terms of matchups.
kinda depends. weight and height can make a difference but theirs a lot of technique that goes into blocking.
Bama has a size advantage on everyone in their schedule. The problem is they play like my size for like 80% of the season.
While I absolutely agree, I would bet that if someone had a chart of weight height and wins you would see a pretty strong correlation. Stronger I bet than these videos I see all day long about the more ethereal potential skills of these players. I just don't know why that isn't the first thing someone leads with when breaking down these teams. If team A's offensive line has 400lbs and 2 feet of height difference than team B, why are we talking about anything else first?@@jofra3147
Bama had 3 sacks for 27 yards, so take off "3 runs" by Milroe, that means instead of 14 runs for 29 yards he actually had 11 runs for 56 yards, and the team actually had 38 carries for 141 yards. Now take off basically 3 knell downs at the end of the game for minus 2 yards, and you have 35 carries for 143 yards. Which is over 4 yards per carry in actuality.

Sheeeeeeesh. Folks acting like Bama is the most consistent team in the country. 😂 Bama is a fabulous team, with a QB who can make mistakes. Do not overlook 4th and 31, with 2 man rush, toss it up and pray.
Exactly
The thing about it is he didn’t just throw it up and pray he threw a dime to Bond
@@josephbennett728 it was a good looking throw, but he threw it to the corner of the end zone, to a guy that wasn't open. He didn't see a window, he threw it on a prayer. Isaiah Bond was the most impressive part of that play. Milroe is probably the best ball carrier in the country when he tucks it and runs, but he is not the guy I'm choosing to throw it on 4th and 31 in any given situation. Luckily, it worked for them, and they capitalized by showing up against GA.
The point is, is that if they had shown up with the consistency that every likes to talk about, they never would have had to steal a win. Let's be honest, Auburn won that game, and threw it. A two man rush, against milroe is asinine. A little more pressure and that game ends on the ground.
@@jackdaniels0987 That's not true actually. They practice that play all the time. Milroe is coached to find the best matchup and put it in the place for his guy to get it. That was not a "just throw it up" play.
@@BrianGlaze Whether it is or isn't the case, they were in the position to NEED a miracle play. That's more of where my comment is coming from. It was a beautiful play whether it was rehearsed or not. It worked, so they won, however, that game was not theirs to win. They stole it. And that happens from time to time. The issue is that Bama has flaws. Beating GA doesn't negate those flaws. People seem to forget that. Michigan is a team that doesn't make many mistakes. Bama will have to play its best ball to get that one done. Believe that.
I don't think this game will go favorably in either teams direction. Likely 30-27. Im not putting any bets or choosing to say who wins, because I don't know. I want UM to win, but I don't think being cocky gets them anywhere(and just makes me look like a fool).

A lot of bama fans and bama media aren't giving michigan any fair statements just bama is gonna dogwalk michigan and their scores are 40- 17 30-10 35-17 etc you get my point.
What exactly in your mind is a fair statement for a team who played virtually nobody until the last week of the season, whose calling card is defense but only played one top 50 offense all year, and who has been thoroughly embarrassed in their last two Playoff games? @michaelbaker8633 Michigan has the better quarterback overall that's one big advantage

I missed this somehow when it originally aired. What's crazy is that all the things Josh said had to go right for Michigan... Didn't. And they still won. They had long fields all day. Special teams sucked. Bama out rushed Michigan. And I'm making it sound like Bama outplayed Michigan, but they didn't. Michigan played their second worst game of the year and still won. If you watched that game you damn well Michigan could've gone into the half up by 21 if they played a tighter game. It looked like it was going to be a typical Saban-esk win. ALA should be under pressure this year. Bama has had a number of bad games, including a loss, plus there are some who question whether or not ALA should have been selected for the playoffs, so they still have something to prove. Despite beating GA, some even say ALA isn't even the best team in the SEC, because ALA received a 4th down gift on a "catch" so GA would've had a chance to maybe kick a FG or even score a TD before halftime >> up 14-10, tied, or only down a FG would have been a completely different scenario compared to being down 17-7.

You right Alabama scored 20 😂
The best offense Michigan's defense has faced by far is Ohio State ranked #36 in total offense. That's why their defense ranks so high.
I think we can put this to bed now, 23 Michigan defenses probably one of the best up there with 21 Georgia
As a Michigan Fan, even tho he said Bama will win, at least Josh Pate has actual reason for why he picked Bama (News Flash there are many legit reasons to pick Bama) Should Michigan win I know Josh will objectively
break the game down and tell us what is true right now in college football. I don't hold the Bama pick against him (It is dangerous to pick against Saban) at least Josh gave us actual analysis and explained a path for how both teams can win. Objecitvely, he is still my favorite and the most fair podcaster or commenator about college football. Look forward to his post game CFP analysis since I know it will be objective (I hope Josh finds it in himself to post this or a similar comment of mine on his channel since I actually have a lot of respect for him since he knows what he is talking about)
Dallas Turner the next LT.
seems like all the youtube talking heads forgot the game before the sec title game. talk about how good they were in the iron bowl . they are somewhere in between the 2 games. aka not consistent.
When the Iron Bowl is played in Jordan-Hare Auburn either pays off the refs or has video of the refs doing illegal things with minors or something. Just look at the suspect calls. They miss one call on Bama so that the rest of their shit calls go unnoticed. You can't take the results of that game as any sign of the ability of the team its the biggest rivalry in college football.
Seems like you forget that over the past decade Bama has lost half the games they’ve played in Jordan Hare and nearly lost the other half. Needed 4 OTs to win in 2021. Michigan has no resemblance to Auburn and everyone knows it’s useless to extrapolate anything from that game
If Bama wins the line of scrimmage and the defense plays lights out i think its over by half time,. Michigan does not have the speed/depth that Bama has
Bama lost the LOS and couldn't adjust to that simple Michigan offense
You chose Penn state and Ohio state, now bama. Bet…
Still love the show lol
How good was UGA defense all the times they lost to Bama. Like NFL caliber
I just don’t think UM can throw the ball against Bama. They will need an early lead so they can stick with the running game.
Exactly right.
They won’t be able to throw or run it. Alabama will force McCarthy to win with his arm, and he hasn’t had to do that all season. They damn sure aren’t gonna allow them to run between the tackles. Gonna be a long day for Harbaugh.
@@crimsonkings205oh really so how you going to keep JJ McCarthy from scrambling and running the ball creating more plays in first downs did you think about that smart guy.
Jayden Daniel’s couldn’t beat us this year do you really think JJ is on the same level as Jayden Daniel’s ?.. my point is Daniel’s was one of if not the best qb we faced this year and we was able to limit him and sorry Michigan fans but Jj is not anywhere close to as good as Jayden Daniel’s
@@nathanray5553 Jayden Daniels couldn’t beat Bama because LSU has a terrible defense. Michigan actually has a competent defense so Alabama isn’t dropping 40+ points on Michigan like they did on LSU.
Just started the video…I know he will pick bama…and thank you sir…GO BLUE!
Washington vs Alabama
I’m curious as to who is covering Bond he might be too fast to put Will Johnson on him all game.
Bama gonna give Michigan da blue balls
You don't believe that. Stop it they not that good worst bama team in 15 years Go Blue 💪
"Remember the Rose Bowl, We'll win then..." RTR.
Just like you said Penn St. was going to win in Happy Valley. Oh then it was Ohio St. was going to win. Thank you for picking Bama…Sincerely ALL MICHIGAN FANS! GO BLUE 24-17 〽️
Michigan fans want to be a victim so badly. Your team cheated and made the playoffs anyways. CFB has bent over backwards for you
@@jesuschristhomeslice9492 But they didn’t bend their back for the team that got in only because of their conference name? Sick and tired of seeing people blaming the players and fans for this “scandal”. It’s been very secretive and I’m by no means saying we did or didn’t because at the end of the day no body truly knows, but we also won against Ohio with NO signs, not even the legal ones. Don’t get why people attack the innocent players and fan base (every team has those few fans/alumni who are over the top) based off hearsay.
@@jesuschristhomeslice9492 CFB bent over backwards to put Bama in over an undefeated ACC champ.
@HyzersGR really didn't, FSU did no favors by struggling with terrible teams all year long. Just because your undefeated doesn't mean you're an amazing team.
Go Blue.
Let me guess...dude picked against Michigan again?
Ohio State is not even close to Bama. Michigan has a losing record in the Rose Bowl against those USC and Washington teams. Michigan is the Coyote and Alabama is the Roadrunner. Beep-Beep
how is it not shocking if Michigan wins? the money is against Michigan other than Vegas . All Ive heard from someone that's not a mich fan is Alabama will win. IDC what the books say Michigan is the real underdog in this matchup.
Well, assuming both teams go and play their best, its likely a one score game, either team. Everyone assuming either is going to trash the other is ignorant of how the season has played for either team against actually good teams. (yada yada yeah penn wasnt that good this year)
Michigan fans have such a victim complex lol
ROLL TIDE ❤
Call me a Michigan hater all you want but these last 4 weeks have not been kind to JJ McCarthy. I really don’t like the way he handles business especially given Alabama’s secondary
