- The PRGR Portable Launch Monitor is incredibly versatile in how you can use it to be a better golfer. In this video, Ryan Robillard demonstrates how to use the PRGR before a round of golf to dial in your clubs for that day's conditions before hitting the course.

On a regular range you can’t rely on a launch monitor. Range balls don’t travel at the same speed or spin. In fact, with a driver you will lose 5-7mph ball speed. Most ranges use limited flight balls as well. 80%, 90%, etc.
Does the data only work for full swings or also for pitch/wedge swings?
Thanks for an excellent video. I recently got a PRGR and am learning how to set it up - It seems a bit finicky about being on the exact line of my swing. It registers a slower speed than my Swing Speed Radar and occasionally doesn't "see" the ball. Any tricks about setting it up? Have you seen this? Also, it seems to register slower without a ball than with hitting a ball.
Hi Larry, thanks for the comment. We have a PRGR set up video which covers our recommendations for set up.
We do know that some players do swing slower with our a ball then they do with a ball. For some it’s a barrier that with no ball, they don’t provide the effort as they do with a ball.
Question about the PRGR. Regarding the history data. Does it gives you an average of your clubs like other monitors do or just a list of each of your shots and data?
Hi Joe, it just provides the list of each shot, no averages.
I just received my PRGR and used it once so far. Is there an attachment to screw into the back to help prop it up on the ground?
Hi Bob, thanks for your PRGR purchase. There is no attachment that comes with it. Some people screw in a mini tripod to it. We recommend using something like the box it comes in, or even a sleeve of golf balls.
How can it factor in weather conditions if the Prgr isn’t tracking the ball the whole way ?
Love my PRGR except for the swing beep. It bugs the players around me at the range. Is there any way to turn it off? I opened the case hoping to cut a wire but the beeper seems to be embedded on the circuit board somewhere. Otherwise it’s a great unit for quickly (and cheaply) keeping track of your speeds.

Had one of these and thought it was SO much harder to use than my Swing Caddie SC300i - which has a remote control to change clubs AND LOFTS - speaks out the yardages and can play games on it - does the PRGR have any of these features OR a great app???? Uuuuurrrrmmmm NO!
This is not a question and I don’t work for Swing Caddie or sell their products as YOU DO for this product which I found recorded less shots in the Vegas sun than the SC300i (very frustrated) AND the swing speeds without a ball we’re ALL OVER THE PLACE and returned the unit- hey maybe it was a one off defective unit, this is a possibility! But I’m happily sticking with the Swing Caddie and now getting their latest model SC4 that does have speed training and has a SIMULATOR for a few dollars more than this dinosaur!
It sure sounds like you work for the opposition 🤔
@@timsampson6110 never had a job in my life mate! Just not a fan of the Red Eyes product for reasons stated.
Hey Simon, sorry to hear you had issues with your PRGR. Certainly sounds like you had a defective unit, which isn't common but can certainly happen. We believe the unit provides great data and value for the retail price. The units you mentioned are hard to compare because they cost more. It may only be "a couple hundred dollars" but that is double the price of this unit. The main use is to measure CHS and Ball Speed and to be to track CHS with a golf ball when training with SuperSpeed as well.
That’s off from what others have said about it but ok. It’s not very fancy but does what it says it does.
