I can't belive he didn't mention that you can't save. I remember when I played this back in the day I had to leave my Playstation on until I beat it, and my mom felt so sorry for me watching me play that she let me do it. Usually she was stingy about wasting electricity.

I would understand the System, if there would be any negative effects ingame, like Storagespace combined with Itemweight-Influence; and also expanded some Equipment Setups combined with Take-Time (Like you got a bag, a Pantpocket and a Toolwrist, and each has got an influence on the Take-Time) .

The Nerd being edited into the Resident Evil opening cinematic and character introduction sequence is pure gold. I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw the Nerd's door animated in the RE style because I didn't expect it to be so dead on. You might hate RE: Survivor, but your love for the series shows in the numerous ways you pay homage to it throughout your review.
That ending scene had me crying of laughter after he called Chris and Jill fucks!

I’ve been watching AVGN since season 1, saw every episode 10 times at least. This episode might be my favorite. Thank you James for 14 years of awesome entertainement.

Woooow...I thought he was exaggerating when he said that the factory music sounded like "somebody bought a $2 Casio at the Goodwill and threw it down the stairs", but that's the most accurate description.
That COULD be used to great effect if you place it in a very meta game. A point where the game itself seems broken, so does the music...

It;s a bug. Pretty certain it's not supposed to sound like that. I think Survivor has a pretty good soundtrack, if you want awful, try the Director's Cut Dualshock ost. The Mansion Basement is a classic.

The lengths to capture all the subtleties of old school gaming is out of charts... the pixelated look, lo fi audio and even the freeze frames where the game seems to be loading something before swapping the screen.
One of the best episodes for me, laughed through and through.

This has to be my 30th viewing of this one, resident evil 1, 2 and 3 were such a big part of my childhood. I even played Resident evil survivor when it came out, this is one of my favourite episodes.

he never left to begin with he is a film maker and making new videos with new ideas (even making a new series) it takes time that he cares for the content he creates.

This is still one of my favorite reviews he's done. Seeing the nerd in the live action trailer of resident evil 1 is something I didn't realize I needed.
Genius inclusion of the Resident Evil footage. This is probably in my top 10.

yah its been awhile since i enjoyed AVGN video, this one was actually funny and had cool effects, props to James giving the episode the old PSone era RE games vibe.
I was hoping for a dig on the magic item boxes. Other than that, probably the best episode in a long time.
