Josh adds good comic relief
I just came back just too see this masacre for the knights, now with 3.3 we are not goin to see this again, but it was hilarius.
As well as the Goblins having too many plasma pistols, you also forgot that the Knight Brother's have Fearless, which still wouldn't have won you the match, but it might of allowed you to keep some minis on the table until round 2 in the first match.
As an aside I'm pretty sure Fearless units are over-priced in Firefight, since they have the same point cost as the standard version, but Firefight removes most of the morale checks where it can help.
Orknatello is stealthy
Leonardork is lucky
Rawaaghel is fast
but I don't know what is the special trait of Michelangelork.
I think goblin herds can only take one plasma pistol. Might have helped against their surprisingly deadly shooting! Fun batreps! Really highlight the very swingy, but very quick nature of GF:FF
I too found out the hard way that elite and GFF do not go well together. I generally don't take heroes in elite teams to bring the activations up. Once you get to 6 they start to shine again.
I loved the turltes man lol
Great show, great prints. What's not to like?
Dude... The Goobos can only take 1 Plasma gun per unit of 3...! They really shouldn’t be taking out Bros that easily...
Yeah, the Regeneration does work even if the model owning the ability is Stunned.
Also to eliminate a model, for a normal model, is Wounds + dice = 6. For those with Tough (3) the total needs to be 8.
The Bros lost the game at the end of Turn 3 when the Halberd Bro got killed and the other 2 got Stunned. Stunned models automatically fail Morale at the end of the turn so effectively they’re out.
I would think that would be enough grounds for a rematch. But this time bring Flamers...
Personally a big fan of Fire Fight when played properly... However Fantasy Skirmish is even better since shooting isn’t as dominant and moving into CC is required. Do remember that going through terrain limits charges to a max of 6” and suddenly the game becomes so much more tactical.
Really hoping to watch more from you and your channel. Loving your content!
That's good to know. I'm afraid I don't know all of the armies as intimately as I'd like.
Man great batrep, and damn beautifully painted terrain!
There's a video up on how I did it. It's actually very fast. took me only a couple evenings to do the whole thing.
Great video! Maybe i miss interpreted but I think that to stun or knock out the rule is wounds + d6 results of 6 are knock out
so you roll a dice and add 1 for every wound that goes through, for example a deadly 3 weapon would be +3. so on a 2-5 he is stunned on a 6 up he is dead so if you roll a 3 with a deadly 3 weapon it is 3+3 for the wounds dealt and still comes out to 6. This would be a knock out
I've been wondering if hitting a one-wound model with a deadly (3) would do something extra to the knock-out roll.
@Good.Nuff.Gaming same thing works if you hit someone with multiple 1 damage attacks. If all 4 of your attacks go through and they fail all their saves then that's your roll plus 4 so they only can roll a 1 to not die.
I was never a fan of firefight because I thought this mechanic was weird but once I learned you can shoot stunned models it became better
@@zephyrus513yeah that is what I was thinking. You explained it much better though lol
@Good.Nuff.Gaming also to clarify it works the same way with 3 wound models but only on their Last wound. If you hit a tough 3 with deadly they only add 1 to the roll since it is their last wound. It's every would left over that adds so it only goes up 3 if they only have 1 wound left whether it be a single wound model or a wounded tough X
😎👍
The bat ork is from puppets war miniatures on MMF. Great products.
Uber Goblins remind me of Reapermini's Warlord game (2004). There's a goblin unit with every ranged ability in the game, as glass-cannon as it gets. I think one of the designers was just having fun with that, as it rose the point cost insanely high for such a fragile unit.
Creative custom figs like this are such a good use of 3d printers.
Well that first bit was hard to watch XD never thought I'd see a clean sweep like that lol. Good game either way, the dice just weren't having it.
BRO WHAT ARE THOSE ROLLS XD Holy crap, what a roller coaster of emotions
I don't get it either. Those were the fancy-schmacy Grey Knights dice that were meant to go with those models.
Get goblins that look like Robin haha.
Yeah...ive found elite armies really struggle in GFF. Its very difficult to survive let alone capture objectives.
I think it could be helped if players with the fewer units were given a "pass" or something to make their activations equal to the player with more.
@@Good.Nuff.Gaming Kinda noticed that Orcs just had a LOT more tools to play with. I didn't see much in the way of armor piercing or Deadly on your troops but it seems like every gobbo had plasma and a lot of the orcs had Deadly, not to mention the regen. If you showed me both armies without telling me points but just pointing at stats I'd have trouble believing they were equal value.
@@D3vious113 Yeah, turns out goblins get one gun per squad, not 4. That would have made a teensy weensy bit of difference
