Terry Gordy is one of the best in ring pro wrestlers ever. He had strength, speed, technical ability, and a great mind for telling a story. I can't think of any current star that has that.

Terry was a smaller andre...very powerful...girth ,fingers,hands,head,were enormous..very respected in the industry legit bad ass..the first bam bam.country strong

TG Stewart Gordy was over huge everywhere he went -especially japan where he made mucho money..headlined from 16-33 in every territory he was in -Nikita was put into a character with 0 experience and did a great job -then got off the roids and faded slowly to mid card before retiring
No the Freebirds feud with the Junkyard Dog, Von Erichs and their Georgia Championship Wrestling period they were just as over as Nikta Koloff Plus Terry Gordy was the UWF hwy champion and the All Japan triple crown champion. Nikta had a great run with JCP but Gordy had a much longer run in both America and Japan.
Bam Bam Gordy had a longer career the birds were over in mid-south/UWF and huge in WCCW then Gordy and Dr. Death were super over in Japan for years. Nikita had a heck of a run in Crocket. Gordy was by far the better worker.

This Gordy story is true. Some sh*t also happened again with Terry and DiBiase, where the story goes that there was a japanese couple who were huge fan of Gordy to the point of inviting him to his condo, so he and DiBiase visited them and they've gifted him with a whiskey bottle and he started drinking it. DiBiase knew right away that it would get out of hand easily so they left the couple's house and got into a cab. According to DiBiase, Gordy got quickly drunk and tried to pick up a fight with the cab driver, but DiBiase stopped him.
How can you not like this man! What a pleasant demeanor and you can tell is a humble man.
I love hearing about these old wrestling stories. Makes me miss the 80’s when wrestling was really fun to see.
