    What is Turmeric
Turmeric, sometimes called Indian saffron or the golden spice is a spice that comes from the turmeric plant. The same family as ginger, the zingerberaceas. You probably know turmeric as the main spice in curry. It has a warm, sort of bitter taste and is frequently used to flavor or color curry powders, mustards, butter, and cheese. Its been used in India and parts of Asia as a medicinal herb and spice for thousands of years.
Is curcumin the same as turmeric
The main active ingredient in turmeric is called curcumin. It has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and it is a very strong antioxidant. Unfortunately though, curcumin is both poorly absorbed by the body and there is not enough of it in turmeric in the first place, which is why supplementation is needed to get the full benefits.
    How to take curcumin correctly
1.) Look for “phytosome technology”. A popular one here: is thorns meriva curcumin thats soy free. Meriva works by bonding the curcumin extract with phospholipids, which leads to better absorption than other curcumin extracts on the market. It can potentially, lead to 29 times greater absorption in the body compared to standard curcumin extracts can be seen in both Curcumin vs turmeric supplements.
2.) Pay attention to your dose. Some doctors commonly recommend the standard 500 milligrams twice daily with food, but the dose that’s right for you really depends on your overall health. So keep in mind, more is not always better. Even though its safe to take up to 8 grams per day, its best to keep within the 500 mg to 1000 mg when you start off.
3.) Start low and gradually build up. Most people are going to tolerate turmeric pretty well but keep in mind having an allergy or intolerance is possible, so If you have a target dose in mind that you or your doctor has told you to reach, it may be best to start at the lowest dose and work your way up.
4:) Be picky when it comes to finding a good supplement. You don’t have to go with the one i recommend in the description below, but make sure its one with a few inactive ingredients and fillers as possible.
5:) Don’t stock up on them. They tend to go bad when it is repeatedly exposed to air. So Store them in a cool, dark place.
6:) Don’t stop your medicines. This is a big one. Turmeric is supposed to help supplement the conventional care you already have, it is not to be substituted for medicine that is prescribed to you.
7.) You got to listen to your body. Curcumin might not be for everyone, especially if you have bile duct obstructions or gallstones, bleeding disorders, diabetes, and GERD. So please please discuss using it with your doctor before trying it. Also some formulations of turmeric and curcumin can make you feel bloated, so listen to how your body reacts to it. Curcumin for inflammation is another reason so many people use this supplement.
These 7 tips should point you in the right direction for how to take curcumin

Doc, great informative video about Turmeric. I appreciate how direct you present the info. I’ve been supplementing 1K mg daily since discovering the medicinal benefits of it outside of medical school since I subscribe more to a natural pathetic approach to medicine & believe more in preventive methods rather than treatments to ameliorate preventable symptoms. An hippocratic approach to medicine after discovering during school, teaching symptom amelioration aka, pharmaceutical intervention. I believe in meditation, using cannabis, & CBD oils. Not into the burning incense & collecting of crystals since there is zero scientific proof they actually work. But keep up the phenomenal reviews doc. You’ve gained a new subscriber. Cheers & stay safe.

I love taking turmeric and black pepper for my skin. I put it in my tea and drink it every night. Before doing so I used to have really bad acne. Like I’d cry and never wanna go out bad. Iv heard of people taking it for its anti- inflammatory properties so I gave it a try. Once I started using it my acne started to go down and my skin healed faster. Now that I take it constantly my skin is almost perfect. Topical skin care failed me. I spent so much money on different things but taking turmeric& black pepper save my skin thank God !
Now all I have to do is drink it and have a basic skin care routine 🤟🏼😩!

There's a local MLM guy who sells specialty circumin. But I don't need mine from MLM. The way I get it is probably far more effective for less money just like I found with Nutrilite vitamins versus just another brand made with whole foods. So, if you're taking a cheaper brand and there's nothing wrong with that but take it with some black pepper or ginger and take it when you're eating something with fat because it's fat soluble. And stay away from those forms..stay away from any kind of naturopathic things that are made into phytosomes or phospholipids. The side effects are not worth it. Let me back up, if the lipid is sunflower oil sourced from meriva that's probably ok. But not all phospholipids are sunflower sourced.

It is a shame the way you speak (fast with no breathing space between the words) make it very hard to follow what you say. I would remake this useful video at a slower speed thank you

You really need to slow down your speech. Please do this. Also, learn to annunciation … your speech is garbled … you are swallowing your words. I recommend a good speech therapist.

You are supposed to take it with food. Butter chicken for example. Without food or olive oil it is useless.
