  • Welcome back once again darlings;
    In this week's video I tackle an Audi S3 that's in need of a whole lot of Llama Love. This get's my Deep Clean and Cleanse interior package, which means everything get's a deep clean. The carpet mats, leather seats and the plastic trim all get a thorough going over. The outside is treated to a regular wash, but the wheels and fuel flap were given extra attention.
    Here's all the products I've used in this video:
    - Supercharged Llama Koch Chemie Pol Star bundle - bit.ly/3jx21WV
    - Scrubber Pad - bit.ly/3hvchOE or amzn.to/3O0GK1A
    - Bilt Hamber Auto Foam - bit.ly/3Mcre31
    - EZ Wheel Brush - bit.ly/3SHRc0Y
    - KKD Devils Juice - bit.ly/3PuMLpm
    - Bilt Hamber Korrosol - bit.ly/3wvWjI6
    - CarPro Dilute bottle - bit.ly/3R6mE96
    - Garage Therapy Decon Shampoo - bit.ly/3H6E0hp
    - MTM SGS35 stubby gun - bit.ly/3Wh5R4A
    - Twisted loop drying towel - bit.ly/3diBppB OR amzn.to/3xIgZOM
    - Garage Therapy Wheel Mitt - bit.ly/3WEhGBq
    - Bilt Hamber Surfex HD - bit.ly/3MffFYX

    Very nicely done (looking forward to washing mine this weekend, weather permitting, as it is absolutely covered in grime).

      Thanks, as always! Yeah my personal car really needs some Llama Love at the moment, especially as I need to do the 3 month update (might be 4 months now!) for Flex Wax vs Obsidian, then I can publish that video, tracking it's progress over the first 4 or so months.

      I was really lucky it was an Audi, their carpets are significantly better quality than the equivalent VW and therefore far easier to vacuum.
      I'm so glad you enjoyed the video; I enjoyed the job!

    Would you rather work in the cold or work in the heat

    • @SuperchargedLlama
      @SuperchargedLlama  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Assuming it's not so cold that the products are freezing on contact with the interior, I'd always take the cold over the heat, it's far more forgiving and stuff doesn't dry out on you as quickly (which maybe an issue when doing carpets, but when it's just mats I say to the customer to keep them inside overnight and they'll be sorted the next day - if it was a full interior carpet shampoo/fabric seats I'd say to leave it until its a bit warmer, or to stick the car on with the AC running for an hour, or put a dehumidifier in there for a more eco conscious approach).
      As with everything, there are relative merits of both and the extremes of both are properly difficult to work on. Around 15 degrees C is the sweet spot.

    • @SuperchargedLlama
      @SuperchargedLlama  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not going to say how much I charged, but I will say that this was about 5hrs of work (6.5hrs elapsed because of lunch and the filming overhead).

      @tombrossard435 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @SuperchargedLlama  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tombrossard435 it was. Although it's far less daunting when it's this size Vs a Q7, even though the process is the same and there's more room to move about in the bigger cars.

    Nice job on the S3, you did well considering the cold weather. How's the Nilfisk holding up with the extra work duties, I've just got a Direct Hoses grey 7 after my K5 compact refused to fire into life.The grey 7 gets its first test this weekend, it seems like a very substantial machine compared to anything else sub £300, it cost me as a bare unit £230 for cash so more than happy with that. Looking forward to your next video 👍

    • @SuperchargedLlama
      @SuperchargedLlama  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah the weather has been "fun" recently, I've found that with these bigger jobs it is working out alright, because I do the interior first and by the time I've finished it's usually above freezing. BUT there's a threshold, it was too cold in that snap before Christmas and the Pol Star was freezing on the interior and coming off like snow. Not such an issue with electric cars as you can pre-heat them but have no emissions or noise from doing it.
      With regards to the pressure washer, I really like my Nilfisk (this is the second on, after 8years the previous one gave up the ghost. I got a great deal on this one as a replacement too, I think it was about £100). I would be tempted by the Grey 7 though, it's much more compact, being the pressure washer equivalent of "body only". My hose is back to DirectHoses to be fitted to a reel at the moment, so that's me giving them another chance.

    • @markmoore6264
      @markmoore6264 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Supercharged Llama Detailing I'll let you know how the grey 7 goes, I went for one as Direct hoses are only half an hours drive so any problems it's not too bad. It does come with a one year commercial use guarantee so they must have some faith in it.

    • @SuperchargedLlama
      @SuperchargedLlama  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@markmoore6264 they do seem to be really popular in the valeting and detailing groups I'm a member of in Facebook too, a lot of people who do it for a living but cannot afford the Kranzle seen to go with them and are having a good experience of them.

      Ahhhh Direct Hoses.....when will I learn? They sent my hose back, mounted to a reel but with the wrong link hose. And now they're not responding to any emails (and never answer the phone) - I can't believe they continue to operate like this, it's gutting.

    Excellent job buddy.
    What did you use an the LSP did I miss it?

    • @SuperchargedLlama
      @SuperchargedLlama  ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't on this one (it's not included in my maintenance wash), but I did use Seal and Shine as the drying aid, so that'd give a couple of weeks. It can be added as an extra.
      I do sometimes use Protector Wax as the drying aid, but I do that on cars I clean regularly as it makes my life easier, this was a pre-sale spruce up.
