Griots Surface Wash is a great soap for maintenance car washes. I wash a lot of dirty cars in my business and I’ve found that Koch Chemie SuperFoam is outstanding when it comes to cleaning power. It’s a great pre-wash foam before a contact wash.
That Griots is my number one choice for presoak & contact. Another choice for contact is Adams Mega Foam. I absolutely love the feel & smell of those 2.
@rawremedy91 thanks for watching. Agreed, Griots has been my go for my pre-wash for a while now thats why I had the gallon. I have been using something with a little more lubrication for my contact wash like GSF or Adam's Mega foam but you can totally use it for pre-wash and contact.
Can you please do a video on the rinse-less wash method using a sponge. Also a video on Koch Chemie Rapid Rinse-less Wash vs P&S Absolute using a sponge. KCx RRW is my current favorite and Absolute is a close second. Great videos please keep them coming!
@@smb1014 thanks for watching! I can try for sure! Working on a couple videos so bear with me! In the meantime, if you haven’t checked out @ecdetails channel yet he has a video on RRW and one on Absolute.
Great video! I really like that kind of dual layer foam. Soaps using that type of surfactant really seem to dwell for a really long time. Diy incredible suds is like that as well. I'll have to put griots on my list to try.
I don't think the car was dirty enough to test these prewash products, this and the fact that you have a coating on the car should be easy for any soap to remove the light dirt that was on the car. That is just like my car with a coating, mostly dust and I wash it every two weeks so... it's very easy to wash. Thanks for the demo.
Thanks for watching, it was hard to see on the grey paint. At 13:22 you can see the level of dirt on the glass. The whole car was covered in brown water spots for about week but "dirtiness" is subjective. I'll make sure to get some better shots of the dirt next time. Thanks for the feedback.
Great job, great video, on this type of car with the level of dirt it had on it. I prefer Koch GSF, after this for handwashing I use Koch NMS. If the car would have been 2 or 3x dirtier, I use Koch AF, and then continue with Koch NMS for handwashing.
Thank you! GSF if actually my go to, I use one of these as my pre-wash then always GSF for my contact wash. It's one of the best on the market. Higher dirt I also us AF and also love NMS shampoo. Check out my other video on S0.03 I talk about NMS too.
Man this such an amazing process and at the same time very confusing and it can challenge ur patience lol. Just to add to ur video, when u go hi ph (Alkaline) u have to neutralize it with low Ph I would say the labo 3ph would good to use. Also u stack them together and then rinse. How u use PH hi or low is dependent on ur area and weather thats there is no one process fits all. For my process i use low ph to higher ph like 10 to neutralize the low ph. Low PH prevents oxidation and keeps everything shiny Hi PH cleans bugs road grime, oil and is a good neutralizer for low ph aka acidic. If i may suggest if u can do a test using Gtechnique citrus wait like 30 seconds or so then use bilt hamber or KC AF on top of the citrus then rinse. Reason anytime ur ph goes up or down u have neutralize it with the right ph. Although u see the surface clean the oxidation is building up if u dont use low ph. Hope this helps and gives u a glimpse of ph levels. btw i think the GT citrus is low Ph from watching how it dwelled and reacted to the surface thats why i recommended it for u to use for ur low ph.
Hi there, thanks for watching. I agree Labo 3pH is amazing. Since this was a video focused on pH neutral pre-washes I didn't go too deep into alkaline or acid shampoos. I have a good understanding of the pH scale and I agree that acid is great to prevent mineral build up and alkaline is great to remove road grime. For maintenance on a maintained car pH neutral works great and if you do a final rinse with DI water that helps to prevent mineral build up. Ideally, high pH or low pH don't need to be used every wash, only when needed. It sounds like you like the chemistry side of these soap, you should check out Chem-X. It uses a high and low pH and you use one to neutralize the other and it cleans so well it's almost a touch-less wash depending on dirt.
Great video first time finding you , have just purchased the Griots Boss foam cannon and this will be the first time trying going to use foaming surface prep as you say directed by griots straight mix Andy from 🇬🇧
@Thecardetailingnut glad you found my channel! I think you're going to love the boss cannon. The full stainless construction is excellent but the metering tips are more then a novelty. You can just throw soap in and go. I also use the metering tips with other soaps not just theirs. I filled it up with GSF and after 15 washes I stopped counting because it stretched so far. Yes Turtle wax is even cheaper and if that works for you then great but I'm not sure of it's actual cleaning ability.
