This is great little wrench. I use it all the time working on the cars and whatnot. I strongly suggest picking one up and they’re on clearance at a lot of Walmarts right now for $40 with 2.0 ah battery and charger.
Hey in a pinch if u needed it good deal but as far as longevity goes is where cheap power tools fail at and Walmart will not honor any warranty on hyper tough they will tell you to call them they will tell you it's Walmart and back and forth endlessly
I use the hyper tough tools to take the work load off my higher end tools on grimey, repetitive, low yield work. They're affordable enough to place em in pre-determined job site bags with multiple units. Also, if a certain low use tool is needed they can fill the gap in professional tool platforms without breaking the bank for a tool you may only need sometimes.
Saw this in store earlier today and almost bought it. I think I'll go back and grab one tomorrow. Nice cheap and good to throw in my small tool kit for going places. Not bad for the money at all. Not Milwaukee power but not a slouch by any means.
I will be interested to see how well it does over time. I did not mention it in the video, but I would also invest in the quick charger. The kit charger is so bad, like 3-5 hours bad.
The 12v router is the only hyper tough tool that I have. It’s great for the price! It’s not a tool that I use a lot, so I wanted to start with something cheap. It does everything that I need no problem. Even with the tiny battery that it comes with the run time isn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Awesome line of tools for the price. Thinking about getting the oscillating multi tool next.
Honestly, i would hypertough impact drill/driver to remove certain bolts on my car engine & not worry so much about the bolt being broke. Bolts like the oil pan bolt, transmission pan bolt & others, that you really can't put alot of torque on.
The 12v Brushless Drill driver has a metal check now. They must have heard your feedback. The Walmart in my town just launched the 12v line up two weeks ago and it has a metal chuck. Line up looks nice! Thanks for the video, I am definitely getting the 4ah and the impact wrench, along with the Oscillation tool. That looks sweet.
For me it's all about being "married" to a single battery platform with a wide array of tools available. I have the M12 Milwaukee tools, that I started with years ago due to the 3/8" ratchet. Then I got the stubby impact, then the cut off tool, then the "Dremel", soldering iron, 1/4" ratchet, etc. My 18V platform is Ryobi for home repairs. Those M12 tools are used maintaining my small "jalopy" fleet and yard equipment.
I’m a diesel mechanic and hyper tough is all that I use simply because it’s not breaking The Bank and it gets the job done I can honestly say Milwaukee and all of those high dollar brands are overrated and overpriced
Hyper tough tools are wiped out off the shelves I’m my neighborhood Walmart , it sells like hot cakes , I got 4 tools from their 12 v line , and they all worth it , planning on getting whole line for home use , all ratchets and impacts were gone within 12 h after being put on the shelf , people , especially mechanics line up to get their ratchets and impacts 👍 awesome tools for awesome prices
Tool snob here. I wasted my money on Milwaukee tools, when I know for about half the price other tools can accomplish the same thing, but maybe take a little longer amount of time. I truly don't need these tools, and I could have gotten along with just a basic drill driver for DIY work. One of these days I will learn, lol
@@mn4a15 I know .Parkside ist not only many times the best price for the tool , even cheaper than online . Nowhere else do they offer a guarantee like Lidl .If you are not satisfied or no longer works . your money will be refunded .Without discussion..
I've heard of personal users defined as prosumers. Individuals who work on their own or family vehicles and projects who don't need Snap On, Matco ect but also don't want to invest in the non-truck higher end tools like Milwaukee or Dewalt. Though they still want tools they can rely on without breaking the bank. We're also the Harbor Freight/Ace Hardware/Walmart purchaser's.
Nice channel good videos. I have dewalt 18v new 20v and chainsaw 60v so i grabed ratchet from hyper tough and 20$ drill really to get battery there fine do decent job. Now i got 4ah bat and charger yesterday. Will see how hold up. Alao have 14.4 craftsman and 19.2 impacted Craftsman
Very nice. Just got an adapter for my 19.2 craftsman to Dewalt batteries. I am going to throw some older tools in with the new for some of my comparisons.
I’m getting the opportunity to do unpaid apprentice part time in a Subaru shop and because it’s unpaid apprenticeship I can’t justify Milwaukee tools, but this would be great to start out with and get me well into working on cars.
I like it your video convinced me as well as others one time go and pick then up at the time didn't know they had brushless out that was before I seen the videos for them then looked again and I think hope that they do the same but a didn't Gen for hart tools I think it set them apart and get ppl in there more and fir the hart tools but also they and itt know who and what market they won't to hit with each brand of tool but I think the homeowners committee would like the 12 volt line in the same format as the m12 and hypertough 12volt as the hart 12volt volt just use a different Gen and or look for the hart line 😮thanks for reading sorry so long
ok thats a bit impressive, especially as its only 12v, I run hercules but for small house things i might want to pick up a few of the hyper toughs (i like to keep a toolset in the garage, in the house, and a portable kit for on the road)
I just got one of these along with the extended reach ratchet and 20v impact wrench. The 4ah battery is very difficult to remove from both the wrench and ratchet. Anyone else feel the battery is hard to get off the tool?
The Torque Test Channel tested the impact wrench and could not even get it to work with the 2.0AH battery and it wasn't very impressive at all. I almost bought one until I saw their review.
As you see, it did better here. I would suggest using the 4 AH battery. I noticed that performance of this tool seems to vary widely. I will test it again.
@@HVACShopTalk - if I see more positive reviews I might get one, but it's really more than $60 by the time you buy the upgraded charger and 4AH battery, still not a bad price though. Torque Test suggests getting the DeWalt 12V extreme instead. I have all the Craftsman impact wrenches now because Lowe's was always clearance pricing them except for the high impact. I picked up their small 3/8 impact bare tool for ~$25-35. It's nice for tight spots and small jobs, but something even smaller would be great.
I bought one on a whim one day when it was on sale. Mine will not hammer long on a stubborn bolt. It will hammer a few times and just stop. Re trigger and same thing
So Zack..you dont do your old channel anymore? But.. great to catch up to ya.... you shod note also.. the socket you used on your wheel, was not an impact socket... they are made a little different (thicker and such) it makes a difference in performance. But, we use what is available sometimes 😂😂

Good idea. Walmart has a lot of Huper Tough and Hart clearance right now.
That would suit my needs just fine. Thank you for the review.
No problem 👍
HyperTough continues to surprise me. Is it as good as some of the higher dollar stuff no, but the offset in cost makes up for it.
That’s a fair appraisal
I agree the hart band is over priced and over rated

It makes an impact obtainable for hobbyist mechanics and people just doing work on their car when need be.

Excellent video it looks like a worthwhile tool and those four amp hour batteries really gave it a kick

Just get Hercules, you'll spend about the same and have a better tool. Hell even Bauer is better than Hyper Tough.

That’s very interesting. I didn’t know that it’s like a mini GEN 4 12 V Milwaukee.
I didn’t know they had a metal Chuck now, cool. Thanks for the comment
I can’t find a meta chuck one anywhere

That is very reasonable. M12 is a great platform. Ryobi had really cool tools that are decent as well.
@@HVACShopTalk I have m12 also very powerful for 12 volts
Hyper though is really stepping it up! 💪🏽😎 now we need a full HT 12V line up that covers every trades needs lol
That would be kind of funny if they released a pex crimper or 12 volt drain snake. Something really trade specific. Maybe sheet metal shears!
The more plumbing tools the better! 😎👍🏼 I wonder how the impact wrench would do if converted to 1/4 bit head
Would love to see them come out with a die grinder
I picked up the 12v drill by HT and im happy with it. Was checking this impact wrench out and im sold. Gonna pick one up.
Nice now I can keep a decent impact wrench in my vehicle without worry
That sounds like a good idea.
Makes more sense than an hvac tech reviewing a impact wrench
Good demo Zack ... Thx
There's also a 20v 1/2" hyper tough impact.
I will release a video on that soon
Nice look. If our Ryobi One+ tools start to crap out, these look worth considering.
Works good for me but I see a few comments where guys did not like them. I am thinking they may have quality control issues.

Im a mobile mechanic. A year ago my dewalt burnt out picked up a hyper tough impact driver at walmart for a late night job, hasn’t failed yet. 🤷🏻♂️
Very cool, that’s a good endorsement. Are you going to try the impact wrench?
It still going?
Probably starting to gets tips from your clients seeing you use a Wal-Mart Hyper Tough tool.
Gotta get s me one of these hyper tough now fure sure sick
So far my experience is good.

Same as the Parkside . The prototype was just as powerful as the Milwaukee. Why the end product is no longer as strong is a mystery

Worth?
Hart is made by TTI, Milwaukee's parent company. Not sure who makes hyper tough
They’re marked “Intertek” in the fine print. No idea what other brands they supply though.
i took this one apart in my cahnnel lol

Hey buddy the Makita is beautiful I'm just very curious by any chance the Makita 3/8 have you tried or can it take off a wheel?
