Whenever there’s a big car accident in the news, if a Tesla was involved it’s always mentioned. Everyone blames self drive but it’s really the driver who isn’t paying attention.
Actually, they’re on their phones while they drive and that is something you should NEVER EVER do. You can text in the car as long as you don’t drive and you’re not on the driver’s seat.
I think the real reason why people hate Tesla is simple: it’s for irrational reasons. Even if you try to quantify the reasons why Tesla gets so much hate, it still doesn’t add up. The cars they make are virtually faultless, objectively speaking. You can say they have build quality issues, which in my opinion isn’t much of a common issue anymore, but even then the same people who complain the loudest about it seem to have no problem with driving even worse quality cars. These are the same people who sing praises of Camaros, Chargers, Challengers, and Mustangs, all of which are less reliable and worse quality hands down. People hate Teslas because of what they say about their drivers, or at least what they think they say about them. People tend to assume Tesla/EV drivers are arrogant and psuedo-intellectual, similar to how people used to think of Prius drivers. Even if you can quantify that, that has nothing to do with the car itself. Like you said, it’s like people hating on iPhone users, and by extension the iPhone itself. Much like Tesla cars, it’s difficult to fault an iPhone on an objective basis, which is what makes the hate even more confusing. It’s all emotional. Objectively, a car as well rounded as a Tesla shouldn’t make someone so upset and yet people are a few steps away from grabbing pitchforks at the mere suggestion of someone praising Tesla.

It is because the body work of Teslas, gaps and quality is horrible. The inside other than the big screen is worse than Fiat from the 90s and everything rattles with cheap plastics. I have experienced it.

I don’t hate Tesla, but I just prefer the look and sound of gas cars! I’m a car enthusiast, and it pains me to see that we’re going down to electric cars! Don’t get me wrong, I like the Tesla roadster, and some concept cars, but I just prefer gas cars! I love your content so much, Jaesun! Keep it up!:)

Mostly from uninformed people who read one post on Reddit or watches one YT video that claims they are worse for the environment than gas cars, they are not reliable, they take too long to charge. Iv heard it all and seen it all. I wouldn't be surprised if big oil/gas is paying people to make propaganda videos. Hell, if I owned a gas company I would be doing some anti marketing as well. People just need to do their own research, which isn't very common in todays world.
May I ask how old you are? I used to love loud cars as well until I drove one around for 6 years and its a pain having to constantly hear the exhaust all day. In my 30s iv lost all interest in loud cars. Worried about cops hearing me, worrying about neighbors getting upset because I have to cold start my car. Having to drive slow in crowded areas so I don't come across as that douchebag with the loud car. Every girl iv been with could care less about how loud my car was. The only people I ever got compliments from were younger men.. I just dont care to be the showoff, or want that much attention my way. I can appreciate a nice sounding car, but those are rare with what people do to them nowadays.
@@JSLReview Yet big automotive manufacturers are slowly getting rid of all of their gas vehicles. I'm gonna miss the Iconic Chargers and Camaros. I love the idea of some EVs, the fast acceleration and potentially high top speed seem amazing to me. But trying to completely destroy gas cars is a mistake. America is built around cars, and some roads are so remote that gas tends to be more reliable. I can always carry spare gas canisters. I can't really carry a spare battery, maybe in time but not now. If an EV runs out of juice, it's just stranded. How do you bring it electricity from 3 blocks away? I can always bring a gas canister to the gas station and back to my car. Plus they are overall more reliable. I'd love to see more EV supercars, but for travel vehicles I'm not a big fan yet.
gas cars can catch on fire also, and the money you save from gas by going electric probably makes up for the high battery price that you have to replace every 5 years
Then the problem isn't the car but people themselves a Tesla is meant to be a car for the rich or people whom have allot of money to maintain it same goes for ferrari! Right now ferrari has some strict laws and regulations including maintenance for your car
My fav are definitely gas cars but cmon Teslas are no joke. Driving them is so fun. They’re definitely over hated by the public once it was decided that all cars will become electric in the future. And to their eyes, Tesla became the sole reason.
What I’m saying. If you from the States you already know how people be with change. Like do people not understand that every car company is trying to keep up with Tesla in making their own EVS and they flop???? The problem is cars and the infrastructure built for them is bad for the environment and bad for community health. (Tires and asphalt both having a limited life and being non-recyclable). The more space for parking cars, the more that buildings are spaced out, which in turn makes it more necessary to own a car to reach something that could of easily been built within walking distance of people's homes. EV's don't fix the deep rooted problem with car culture. If you want to save the environment support high quality public transport, something that Elon Musk himself seeked to undermine with the Hyperloop scam. EVs are cool, but they will ALWAYS be a luxury item for wealthy people. Less wealthy people like me need good trains and busses.

I think the big reason why people are hating on Tesla's is not the car itself (even though In my opinion the build quality lacks etc. etc.). I think the biggest reason is because of the people who drive them (not all ofc, but a reasonable part of them). It's like their entire identity is the car and nothing else, and it is the only thing they can talk about. You can compare it to some vegetarians, heavily religious people etc. Imagine being a meat eater and having a friend that is a vegetarian. Every time you meet, you have to hear on the same story about eating meat is bad and the environment and this and that while acting superior. That person won’t be my friend for long. On top of that. People who usually base their identity around something that you are not a part of, act like they are better than you and act all high and mighty. And guess what! I don't think that is it because owners of sports gas cars such as the Dodge Charger and Challenger make so much noise about their car. I think the main problem is that people hate change. Electric cars were around before gas cars. The problem was that electricity wasn't everywhere so it wasn't practical. Jay Leno owns the first electric car. Also steam engine cars were around before gas cars. Electric cars are far from new. What I don't understand is considering fuel such as gas is a limited resources why fight electric cars which is better for the long term?

People hate on Tesla because of the name but don’t understand that other car companies trying to keep up with them by making their own electric vehicles. Tesla just makes people feel insecure about themselves. I own a Tesla and don’t feel better than anyone, I like Tesla because I’ve been accustomed to it since 2018 when my dad got one. It’s just the future, people need to understand that at some point we were riding around in horses and caravans and when gas powered cars came out people went ballistic but realized later on how convenient it was. Rockafeller was the one who destroyed evs when they weren’t first created, it was because you make way more money off oil than electricity. People don’t understand the history we have in the United States because it hurts. Understand that Tesla has been around since they bought the lotus car and the model s in 2012. The model 3 just became the new 3 series that everyone likes. It’s just a better car now and people can’t stand how great the company is becoming.
Great video! Not a fan of Elon but I like how innovative Tesla is in the car industry despite having issues assembling vehicles properly. It’s been making other car manufacturers have to be on their toes. I’d consider a model 3 in the next 4-5 years(hopefully they knocked another grand off the $)

I have been driving Tesla's since 2016. I got my 3rd Tesla switching from a 2018 S model to the 2023 X model. In brief, I hate the Model X user interface and even venture it is not only over engineered but also dangerously distracting. First the over engineered part. It is a cardinal rule in design not to replace a functional design convention, like a turn signal, that everybody has engrained in their muscle memory and psyche, with a non-ergonomic 2 button system that requires you to take your eyes off the road to find the location of the non-standard button placement. The buttons are not even raised or provide tactile feedback! Designers what were you thinking? Same goes for the ridiculous replacement of the tiny horn button on the left side of the wheel. Now for the dangerous comment: the UI designers made a very conscious decision to prioritize visual control of the car with the large screen which causes the drivers to repeatedly take their eyes off the road. The old S models control for Forward, Neutral and Reverse were effective and non-distracting. I could go on but in conclusion, selling my X and now exploring other EV brands. Bye, bye Tesla
@@JSLReview Tesla does not see them as competition. It just wants EVs accepted as mainstream as soon as possible. It wants the competition to succeed. Thats what they market can't understand, because its so short sighted. Even if Tesla's market share declines, it will simply continue to build and sell its vehicles; And Powerpacks, and solar roofs. Its a tech company that just happens to sell cars as well. You can't beat your "competition" if you don't understand the battlefield for what it really is.

@@walex19 ain't nobody buying an ev to save the world or to save money. It's all bragging rights and lets be honest here it just looks cool and futuristic. The price you pay for an ev offsets any savings you would get from fuel and repairs, unless you buying some cheap ass ev that will go back in a few years. I have a tesla and the math says only after 8 years will I start saving money. Very important to do the math....

I have now been waiting two month for a bodyshop schedule due to door gaps, trunk gaps and front bumper being misaligned with headlights on my MYLR. Still haven’t heard anything. This realty pisses me of. It was said to be fixed, and I shouldn’t worry at delivery. I’m not enjoying my car as much as I would have, if these simple things where fixed in reasonable time. This is just not good enough.

@@JSLReview no, it’s a good car, but with to hard suspension. But I knew that when I purchased. And why I didn’t go for the performance. I got the Acceleration Boost, to make it almost as fast, but with a bit better suspension. I primarily chose the Model Y, for the amount of storage space, range, infotainment system and price. The greatest rival for me, was the Skoda Enyaq, but that would be to expensive. But the comfort level on that is so much better than the Tesla. So pros n’ cons.
Yeah suspension is not the best but I too braced myself for it, it’s not horrible. Good call not going with performance I heard those uberturbine wheels makes for a pretty rough ride
@@brunoheggli2888 the Tesla infotainment system and more storage space won. Plus getting the same features as the Tesla cranked up the Ioniq price. But the Ioniq is a clear winner on comfort. But the Tesla won, with more pros, for me.
I always wanted a Tesla and I love my Model 3. I like Elon and how he isn’t afraid to share what he believes in. I think people hate Tesla because they don’t understand it and think it’s for the upper class of society.
I always wanted a Tesla, in fact I am saving up for one but may end up choosing a different vehicle due to all the jealousy and hate they receive from people and I don’t want my car to be the target of vandals .
I agree with all of your points. We have 3 Tesla's in the family and do 90% of ourcharging at home (via solar and battery storage). The fit and finish issues have been most eliminated virtually all are cosmetic only. The Model Y was the best vehicle I have ever owned and my Model X was bought used from Tesla and has been perfect. They are simply the best engineered and manufactured BEV's in the world and most who drive them agree ...
Not a tesla hater , but after a family member buying one and having a quick glance over and a drive , the fit and finish was like that of budget 3rd world car , not real good for a $90,000 dollar car. having said that, i can see why the nerds like it. lots of geek stuff. But having seen the fit and finish and some of the compromises that come with owning a tesla , I'll stay with a conventional vehicle.
I used to be a fellow Tesla hater. My assumption was it still had bad build quality but I can tell lot has improved. I’m currently not driving or owning a Tesla but I’m legit looking to get a M3 soon. I love that most superchargers are open for other EVs now.
I don't hate Tesla... in fact I own 2 Teslas. I strongly dislike Elon Musk and would rather support another company if there was an EV that could compete. Right now, there is not for my use case. That being said, I purchase things from all sorts of companies and most of them probably have jackholes for CEOs... what can you do?
Yeah I agree, most ceos are kind of scummy and people don’t think twice using their products or services. Not a Musk fan either, but it doesn’t take away from the fact that tesla is a game changing company.

I’ll admit that Tesla gets it right with their selling strategy, OTA updates and charging network. I would definitely have purchased one if there weren’t so many on the streets esp here in CA. I just prefer having a car that is not as common. I also cannot stand Elon which further justifies me to not support one of his businesses.

I don't like Tesla because of the little help customer service gives in cases that are Tesla's fault. I don't like how simple the FEW cars Tesla has. However, to hate a brand so bad you have to be stupid about it, is asinine. I am super happy with century mode. It should be in all new cars. And maybe even improved to recognize plates and faces better even in low light.

I don’t see wide adoption for EV’s like the government thinks is possible, their timeline is completely unrealistic. Gasoline provides freedom and I think most people understand that. There is definitely a place for EV’s in the marketplace, but hybrids and hydrogen fuel cells are better technologies with a better future IMO. BMW, Hyundai, and Toyota have the right ideas.
Yeah itll be interesting to see how much adoption happens over the next few years, charging speeds and access to chargers will need to increase dramatically in order for mass adoption
For me the main reason I'm thinking about not buying a Tesla is potential non-reliability. I want a reliable car. Maybe my next car will be a Tesla. For now, I'm thinking Honda or Toyota.

It’s not for everyone bud , my brother has one that I have driven and see daily , and i in all honesty am impressed with some of the clever features and the ride quality , in other ways , it’s not so impressive , bear in mind I have been in the motor trade , and around cars of many types since the 70’s and I can see where a lot of these features in the Tesla came from in the first place from other brands , some from decades ago , and to be fair , the implementation of some of the old features are very good . While there’s lots of nerd stuff and decent comfort features in them , but it’s not all good , and in some areas they do not even have the most basic features you would expect on a budget economy car , and some items in the Tesla just because they are done differently does not make them better . My bro loves his too , but he is a serious geek and has not been around cars much . I see a lot of areas that are not so good , and Tesla cars are still relatively new, it remains to be seen whether they will be the shit boxes of the future that no one wants to touch as they get older , I’m not optimistic. As long as you happy with it , that’s all that matters. Cheers.

For me, Teslas symbolize the oligarchy. The rich people in the Hunger Games looking to flaunt their wealth. It's the new fad. They all look the same, no character. It's the blade runner future we're going to. I don't like how the car pushes features over function and safety. Something as simple as moving the speedometer to the center console just screams hubris. I don't want to drive an IPad, but that's what it is. Frankly I find it scary these things are allowed on the road. It's all software and it's only one hack away from shutting down. And, most people who drive them act haughty like they are saving the world when the battery causes more damage to it. It's a throwaway car waiting for it's replacement in 4 years

From Norway. If there was any situation that would make me understand a little how it was like for jews living in germany during the 30's/40's - owning a tesla would be it. At some point when I was driving on a 30 km/h road, a car right behind me was honking furiously at me. Not because I was driving too slow, but just because he wanted to make his mark over someone who had a tesla. Another situation was when my family and I was in a queue on the road. One of the construction workers, who had the job of stopping cars, stopped spesifically only teslas. We asked him why and this made him mad. At some point there was a fire in an airport garage. The media assumed it was a tesla, but it turned out to be a diesel car. Tesla hate is real. That being said: I understand how people feel like teslas are taking over the road and how they prefer manual with gasoline/diesel. There is a certain feel to manual cars that electric cars don't have.
Tesla will become very popular, once public charging is more accessible for those who doesn't own a house and required to charge their cars in public chargers
If my time is = money I would rather pay to pump say 50 bucks for 5 min and be on my way earning Money and having my freedom back than to sit for 45 minutes for free electricity in a sketchy place. I do feel sorry that charging stations for the most part suck, as EV's do not support the economy. This is what you get.

I don’t hate Tesla, but they seem to have poor Fit and Finish, takes forever to charge compared to Petroleum Vehicles, seem soulless and numb! I have ridden in one from Uber and the driver had to give me a friendly lesson on how to operate the open and close door?! I think that Hydrogen Fuel Cells might be a better Technology to pursue! Most of the Electricity that powers Tesla’s comes from the the Petroleum or Coal Burning Plants that power the electrical grid?!😅 Like Sweeping the problem under the rug!😅
Problem of hydrocars is that theyre too big, like not the car, but the tank, it takes half of the car, but maybe it will change if they invent better way to store hydrogen
I am looking forward to see one of those ev's catching on fire in real life. Definitely would not park next to a Tesla or whatever in an undercover car park. They should be clearly marked so people know to keep well away from the fire risk. I live in a large Australian city and I do not see many Teslas driving arround. Maybe they are at the owner's home on charge. So I would question your claim that they are outselling Toyota sedans.

@@ravindrapersaud7608There's many reports online if you do the research. Most of the Tesla's batteries catch on fire either from collisions, any kind of overheating, or other facts.
I have the model 3 and my husband has the plaid. Model 3 is so comfortable. Plaid is very masculine. Almost sexy. And I’m not usually one to talk like that about a car

I don't love or hate Tesla but I really admire Elon Musk and what he has done, we are seeing genius that only appears once in every few hundred years...I believe his legacy will be a much better world. Whenever there’s a big car accident in the news, if a Tesla was involved it’s always mentioned. Everyone blames self drive but it’s really the driver who isn’t paying attention.

I think the real reason why people hate Tesla is simple: it’s for irrational reasons. Even if you try to quantify the reasons why Tesla gets so much hate, it still doesn’t add up. The cars they make are virtually faultless, objectively speaking. You can say they have build quality issues, which in my opinion isn’t much of a common issue anymore, but even then the same people who complain the loudest about it seem to have no problem with driving even worse quality cars. These are the same people who sing praises of Camaros, Chargers, Challengers, and Mustangs, all of which are less reliable and worse quality hands down. People hate Teslas because of what they say about their drivers, or at least what they think they say about them. People tend to assume Tesla/EV drivers are arrogant and psuedo-intellectual, similar to how people used to think of Prius drivers. Even if you can quantify that, that has nothing to do with the car itself. Like you said, it’s like people hating on iPhone users, and by extension the iPhone itself. Much like Tesla cars, it’s difficult to fault an iPhone on an objective basis, which is what makes the hate even more confusing. It’s all emotional. Objectively, a car as well rounded as a Tesla shouldn’t make someone so upset and yet people are a few steps away from grabbing pitchforks at the mere suggestion of someone praising Tesla.

Mostly from uninformed people who read one post on Reddit or watches one YT video that claims they are worse for the environment than gas cars, they are not reliable, they take too long to charge. Iv heard it all and seen it all. I wouldn't be surprised if big oil/gas is paying people to make propaganda videos. Hell, if I owned a gas company I would be doing some anti marketing as well. People just need to do their own research, which isn't very common in todays world.
May I ask how old you are? I used to love loud cars as well until I drove one around for 6 years and its a pain having to constantly hear the exhaust all day. In my 30s iv lost all interest in loud cars. Worried about cops hearing me, worrying about neighbors getting upset because I have to cold start my car. Having to drive slow in crowded areas so I don't come across as that douchebag with the loud car. Every girl iv been with could care less about how loud my car was. The only people I ever got compliments from were younger men.. I just dont care to be the showoff, or want that much attention my way. I can appreciate a nice sounding car, but those are rare with what people do to them nowadays.

I love the idea of some EVs, the fast acceleration and potentially high top speed seem amazing to me. But trying to completely destroy gas cars is a mistake. America is built around cars, and some roads are so remote that gas tends to be more reliable. I can always carry spare gas canisters. I can't really carry a spare battery, maybe in time but not now. If an EV runs out of juice, it's just stranded. How do you bring it electricity from 3 blocks away? I can always bring a gas canister to the gas station and back to my car. Plus they are overall more reliable. I'd love to see more EV supercars, but for travel vehicles I'm not a big fan yet.

My fav are definitely gas cars but cmon Teslas are no joke. Driving them is so fun. They’re definitely over hated by the public once it was decided that all cars will become electric in the future. And to their eyes, Tesla became the sole reason.

I think the big reason why people are hating on Tesla's is not the car itself (even though In my opinion the build quality lacks etc. etc.). I think the biggest reason is because of the people who drive them (not all ofc, but a reasonable part of them). It's like their entire identity is the car and nothing else, and it is the only thing they can talk about.
You can compare it to some vegetarians, heavily religious people etc. Imagine being a meat eater and having a friend that is a vegetarian. Every time you meet, you have to hear on the same story about eating meat is bad and the environment and this and that while acting superior. That person won’t be my friend for long.
On top of that. People who usually base their identity around something that you are not a part of, act like they are better than you and act all high and mighty. And guess what! People don’t like to be treated less, especially when it’s for no reason at all.

I don't think that is it because owners of sports gas cars such as the Dodge Charger and Challenger make so much noise about their car. I think the main problem is that people hate change. Electric cars were around before gas cars. The problem was that electricity wasn't everywhere so it wasn't practical. Jay Leno owns the first electric car. Also steam engine cars were around before gas cars. Electric cars are far from new. What I don't understand is considering fuel such as gas is a limited resources why fight electric cars which is better for the long term?

People hate on Tesla because of the name but don’t understand that other car companies trying to keep up with them by making their own electric vehicles. Tesla just makes people feel insecure about themselves. I own a Tesla and don’t feel better than anyone, I like Tesla because I’ve been accustomed to it since 2018 when my dad got one. It’s just the future, people need to understand that at some point we were riding around in horses and caravans and when gas powered cars came out people went ballistic but realized later on how convenient it was. Rockafeller was the one who destroyed evs when they weren’t first created, it was because you make way more money off oil than electricity. People don’t understand the history we have in the United States because it hurts. Understand that Tesla has been around since they bought the lotus car and the model s in 2012. The model 3 just became the new 3 series that everyone likes. It’s just a better car now and people can’t stand how great the company is becoming.
Great video! Not a fan of Elon but I like how innovative Tesla is in the car industry despite having issues assembling vehicles properly. It’s been making other car manufacturers have to be on their toes. I’d consider a model 3 in the next 4-5 years(hopefully they knocked another grand off the $)

I have been driving Tesla's since 2016. I got my 3rd Tesla switching from a 2018 S model to the 2023 X model. In brief, I hate the Model X user interface and even venture it is not only over engineered but also dangerously distracting. First the over engineered part. It is a cardinal rule in design not to replace a functional design convention, like a turn signal, that everybody has engrained in their muscle memory and psyche, with a non-ergonomic 2 button system that requires you to take your eyes off the road to find the location of the non-standard button placement. The buttons are not even raised or provide tactile feedback! Designers what were you thinking? Same goes for the ridiculous replacement of the tiny horn button on the left side of the wheel. Now for the dangerous comment: the UI designers made a very conscious decision to prioritize visual control of the car with the large screen which causes the drivers to repeatedly take their eyes off the road. The old S models control for Forward, Neutral and Reverse were effective and non-distracting. I could go on but in conclusion, selling my X and now exploring other EV brands. Bye, bye Tesla

Thats what they market can't understand, because its so short sighted. Even if Tesla's market share declines, it will simply continue to build and sell its vehicles; And Powerpacks, and solar roofs. Its a tech company that just happens to sell cars as well. You can't beat your "competition" if you don't understand the battlefield for what it really is.

I have now been waiting two month for a bodyshop schedule due to door gaps, trunk gaps and front bumper being misaligned with headlights on my MYLR. Still haven’t heard anything. This realty pisses me of. It was said to be fixed, and I shouldn’t worry at delivery.
I’m not enjoying my car as much as I would have, if these simple things where fixed in reasonable time.

@@JSLReview no, it’s a good car, but with to hard suspension. But I knew that when I purchased. And why I didn’t go for the performance. I got the Acceleration Boost, to make it almost as fast, but with a bit better suspension.
I primarily chose the Model Y, for the amount of storage space, range, infotainment system and price. The greatest rival for me, was the Skoda Enyaq, but that would be to expensive. But the comfort level on that is so much better than the Tesla. So pros n’ cons.
Yeah suspension is not the best but I too braced myself for it, it’s not horrible. Good call not going with performance I heard those uberturbine wheels makes for a pretty rough ride

I agree with all of your points. We have 3 Tesla's in the family and do 90% of ourcharging at home (via solar and battery storage). The fit and finish issues have been most eliminated virtually all are cosmetic only. The Model Y was the best vehicle I have ever owned and my Model X was bought used from Tesla and has been perfect. They are simply the best engineered and manufactured BEV's in the world and most who drive them agree ...
Not a tesla hater , but after a family member buying one and having a quick glance over and a drive , the fit and finish was like that of budget 3rd world car , not real good for a $90,000 dollar car.

And maybe even improved to recognize plates and faces better even in low light.

I don’t see wide adoption for EV’s like the government thinks is possible, their timeline is completely unrealistic. Gasoline provides freedom and I think most people understand that. There is definitely a place for EV’s in the marketplace, but hybrids and hydrogen fuel cells are better technologies with a better future IMO. BMW, Hyundai, and Toyota have the right ideas.
Yeah itll be interesting to see how much adoption happens over the next few years, charging speeds and access to chargers will need to increase dramatically in order for mass adoption

On thing I hate is delaying the cars see when the roadster was unveiled in 2017, Elon said it will got to production in 2020 he delayed it for 2021 due to covid then delayed again to 2022 then again in 2023 and again in 2024. Yeah I feel as though majority of the loudest Tesla haters have never even rode in a Tesla before.
It’s not for everyone bud , my brother has one that I have driven and see daily , and i in all honesty am impressed with some of the clever features and the ride quality , in other ways , it’s not so impressive , bear in mind I have been in the motor trade , and around cars of many types since the 70’s and I can see where a lot of these features in the Tesla came from in the first place from other brands , some from decades ago , and to be fair , the implementation of some of the old features are very good .
While there’s lots of nerd stuff and decent comfort features in them , but it’s not all good , and in some areas they do not even have the most basic features you would expect on a budget economy car , and some items in the Tesla just because they are done differently does not make them better .
My bro loves his too , but he is a serious geek and has not been around cars much .
I see a lot of areas that are not so good , and Tesla cars are still relatively new, it remains to be seen whether they will be the shit boxes of the future that no one wants to touch as they get older , I’m not optimistic.
As long as you happy with it , that’s all that matters.

For me, Teslas symbolize the oligarchy. The rich people in the Hunger Games looking to flaunt their wealth. It's the new fad. They all look the same, no character. It's the blade runner future we're going to. I don't like how the car pushes features over function and safety. Something as simple as moving the speedometer to the center console just screams hubris. I don't want to drive an IPad, but that's what it is. Frankly I find it scary these things are allowed on the road. It's all software and it's only one hack away from shutting down. And, most people who drive them act haughty like they are saving the world when the battery causes more damage to it. It's a throwaway car waiting for it's replacement in 4 years

From Norway. If there was any situation that would make me understand a little how it was like for jews living in germany during the 30's/40's - owning a tesla would be it.
At some point when I was driving on a 30 km/h road, a car right behind me was honking furiously at me. Not because I was driving too slow, but just because he wanted to make his mark over someone who had a tesla.
Another situation was when my family and I was in a queue on the road. One of the construction workers, who had the job of stopping cars, stopped spesifically only teslas. We asked him why and this made him mad.
At some point there was a fire in an airport garage. The media assumed it was a tesla, but it turned out to be a diesel car. Tesla hate is real.
That being said: I understand how people feel like teslas are taking over the road and how they prefer manual with gasoline/diesel. There is a certain feel to manual cars that electric cars don't have.

If my time is = money I would rather pay to pump say 50 bucks for 5 min and be on my way earning Money and having my freedom back than to sit for 45 minutes for free electricity in a sketchy place. I do feel sorry that charging stations for the most part suck, as EV's do not support the economy. This is what you get.

I don’t hate Tesla, but they seem to have poor Fit and Finish, takes forever to charge compared to Petroleum Vehicles, seem soulless and numb! I have ridden in one from Uber and the driver had to give me a friendly lesson on how to operate the open and close door?!

I am looking forward to see one of those ev's catching on fire in real life. Definitely would not park next to a Tesla or whatever in an undercover car park. They should be clearly marked so people know to keep well away from the fire risk. I live in a large Australian city and I do not see many Teslas driving arround. Maybe they are at the owner's home on charge. So I would question your claim that they are outselling Toyota sedans.
