I been welding for a long time now. Now for the first time I've bought myself a multi-process welder to do small jobs in my garage, and try to start somewhere.. not sure how exactly to do it yet, I'm just gonna play it day by day and one step at a time. I've wanted to start out in my own for ages, but there has always be road blocks in the way. Now that a lot of the road blocks have been cleared away. Nows the time. Believe it or not, I love to listen to you, and I find you inspiring. Please keep up the motivational speeches..... I'm gonna need them along the way. Thanks for the motivational words

Right on, Barbie! Taking the leap to self-employed is one of the scarier things I ever did, but it's not something I ever regretted. That doesn't mean it's always been easy ;) Kudos for not only doing it, but for sharing it. As you say, you have no idea who you might help inspire to make their own leap.

Reading the stories and biographies of these companies should leave you with idea that if they could do it so can I/you. 10 years ago I started True Love Honey with $212.00 and a garden shed. No high school diploma, no higher education and no financial help from anyone, and no experience. 11 years later we are still plowing ahead. From day one, we have worked 7 days a week and we have yet to take a vacation. How bad do you want it? The best aspect of it all is the liberation from small expectations and the feelings of empowerment that targeted thinking brings about. Listening to you is like listening to myself. Congratulations on becoming more than we are told we can.

It’s pricing that gives me a problem. I do wood work an I am very picky about quality an looks it has to be perfect an it kills me when people try an cut you on price. If they only knew how much work is in it I don’t think they would ask such a thing . They sure can’t get that at a furniture store . I also weld, I build anything or I used too can’t anymore health problems but still try just not as fast . My son is an artist in Orlando an teaches an he too is good at what he does. My oldest stepdaughter is very creative an can do most wood work too her and I have a lot of things together.
When someone complains about price I explain that price is for a first class welder/artist, I’m happy to refer them to a second class welder/artist. (I would never recommend someone because I don’t want them to undercut another artist but it’s about the point to kindly let them know they’re too cheep to own quality art!😉)
