About Oleana and her Garbador. Apparantley when she was a kid, she grew up poor with her only Pokemon being her partner Trubbish. Once she met and started working for the chairman, she let go of every part about her past life EXCEPT her partner Garbador. So Oleana actually does have some backstory for her Garbador, it's her only connection to her past life, and is a way of her never forgetting all of her roots. It's the sign of a less than ideal upbringing for her, and even when she made it in the world, she never forgot her first Pokemon and friend. It's also a way of showing one of Oleana's biggest defining character traits, that being loyalty. She's very loyal to Garbador just as much as she is to Rose.
@@KrangtheMultion Oh really? I guess it just got repeated enough times that we thought it was true. I could have sworn I read it somewhere, but I guess I was mistaken.
Gen 1 : 5/150 Gen 2 : 0/100 Gen 3 : 2/134 Gen 4 : 4/103 Gen 5 : 0/155 Gen 6 : 3/72 Gen 7 : 4/95 Gen 8 : 5/88 This is really unbalanced in my opinion. Even without taking in account popularity (if we did gen 8 would be even more overepresented).
I counted it out and all 8 of the gens could have 3 reps. He could have had a nice spread but forgot about some of the gens and overstuffed others. Edit: Never mind one of them would have two. But still…
Whoa, he thinks just like the OG Pokken team and actively ignores Gen 5! Also, the fact that over half of the trainers in this game are from the 2nd half of the Gens
all characters from the first game should be in the second too, in my honest opinion. could add in on the diversity and would definitely bring in some returning players who just really loved their old mains
@@nickbaghead250 I don't think every generation need the exact same number of rep, for exemple I think it is logical for gen 1 and 4 to have a bit more reps as it hasthey have more iconic pokémon with a "fighting game" body type than gen 2 or 9, but every generation needs at least 2 reps in my opinion. But it makes no sens for gen 7 and 8 to have this many reps, they are both small generations with very few suitable body types and not the most popular.
I popped off so hard when you added Vespiquen. For the longest time, I was a Vespiquen advocate, but instead of a zoner archetype, I imagined a puppet archetype with commanding Combees; setting them up on the battlefield and activating them with a special like Pom in Them's Fightin' Herds.
Also "I want more obscure trainers and less create a characters in it." But then istantly goes "I dont know/like these trainers we'll make a create a character."
@@olah547 But Thorgi revealed Garbador AFTER he said that the only gen he could'nt fit was two, and he was talking about the base roster either way: which did'nt have any gen 5 mons.
I know it must've been tough picking 24 out of 900+ Pokemon for this, but I think representing every generation in the base roster should be just as important as representing every type. I also think there ought to be an Ultra Beast in there too.
@@faken6252 Yeah but we already got our buff boys with Machamp and Incineroar. His poses could be a mechanic though. I went with Pheromosa because she is paired with Lusamine in Pokemon Masters. Tbh my first choices would be Kartana, Xurkitree, Nihilego, or Blacephalon.
I personally feel that there’s way too much gen 7 and gen 8 representation rather than having an equally represented roster. Not that every region has to be referenced but more than the last 2. Specifically with the trainers you chose but also with the Pokémon
Also for returning characters its literally 3 gen 1s and 2 gen 4s Also the fact that Braixen, one of the more unique and out there picks- being a middle stage Gen 6 stater- just gets replaced in this roster by a more popular final evo Gen 6 starter.
For the record New gen pokemons are most likely humanoid, I agree with you there wasn't much of pokemons from earlier generations but for the valid reason
@@Dairunt1 for me i was a bit bummed out that we didn't get a remake of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon : explores of Time, Sky and Darkness remakes since we got the first Pokemon Mystery Dungeon remaked
Since no mention was made of trainers for Zeraora or Rillaboom, I'll see what I can think of. Since Zeraora is an event Pokemon, it doesn't have any Trainers specific to it, aside from an anime-original character named Dia, so either him or an Pokken-original trainer. Rillaboom would go well with either the Galar protags Victoria/Gloria, or Professor Magnolia since Thorgi has Sonia paired with Zacian.
Mewtwo: “am I a joke to you, I was the main focus of the story and you just throw me out?” aiegislash and blastoise: “least you were here longer, we just got here.”
And Mewto is still the most powerful Pokemon and the first legendary Pokemon in the series and is immensely popular, even today. That list got invalidated with just the exclusion of Mewto here.
Him: " I won't guide myself by a pokémon's popularity" Also him for every pokemon: "Guess were this guy sits in the popularity list" Dragapult should be there to.
Feel like Greninja should definitely have had ash as his trainer. Ash-greninja synergy burst with that giant shuriken as his ultimate just fits too well
That's right thought and I was in I think it's great if they were to put Battle bond in this series It's Lily you fighting alongside your pokemon at that point you expect a battle bond phenomenon to hit
@@KartvelArca I mean true. But the fact that they put it in the game and literally kept the name “ash-greninja” makes him canon in a way. I mean it’s still greninja mixed with ash in name and design
I remember when Pokken first came out two of the things people were super happy about was that it wasn't just copying Smash Bros fighters and that every Gen was getting some pretty decent representation (other than Gen 5 unfortunately). Safe to say, I'm not a huge fan of some of these roster choices.
Yeah I agree. I was fine with the choices until Incineroar, and even then I was like "okay well he IS a wrestler so ig it's fine," but then he chose Ivysaur and i was like aahghghh
Ok i think the sword and sheild representation was a LITTLE much, like id at least kick off Zacian. But aside from that one gripe. Someone send this to the Pokken devs, i think trainers would make the game just so much more entertaining, not to mention the arcade/campaign mode would have some promise now, regardless, id be down to see this.
I had an idea that im surprised wasn't throw out as an honorable mention The pokemon company has some unwritten rule of no stuff from the anime in the games I think it's crazy but if they were ever to break that rule If you do specific thing in the story/arcade mode then the meteor with deyxoys was in would be destroyed by Rayquaza just like I'm the games but the blue orb (I personally call it alpha Sapphire) from pokemon omega ruby and alpha Sapphire falls to ground *If you watched the pokemon ruby and Sapphire show you know what's coming next* and a random Pikachu picks it up and it takes control and that Pikachu is your new final boss in a form dubbed by the fans *PRIMAL PIKACHU* This thing has inspired tons of Wattpad fanfiction and angst oneshots in the pokemon fandom so if they broke the no anime rule it just seem right to start with this as a little tease too keep anime only fans happy and interested with the games As for how it would fight I see it as the games "absurd power but easy to ko" fighter which was originally filled by shadow Mewtwo the previous big bad so the new big bad having it should be fitting. It attack would include powered up version of moves it's know for like a energy blade type iron tail and a quick attack moving so fast you can't see it so it looks like it's teleports. And I mean come on.... It's a yellow character that shoots powerful energy blast and is currently supercharged, you KNOW that it's gonna have a super Saiyan aura for the entire fight. For the synergy burst mode it would have the aura increase as Pikachu would being to fly with so much electric power, it's attacks would now be gigavolt lighting, using it's electricity to magneticlly move things to throw at their foe and swooping down to deck you in the face, mechanically speaking to quote Cuphead, when you use this mode "it's time to double down!" These powerful moves would take away your health in synergy brust mode making the risk even higher but so is the reward. To finish it off for the brust attack it would give a "I'm done with you!" Look and charge forward and foe that get hit with be sent to the sky as primal Pikachu jumps to the foe as a apocalyptic level thunderstorm forms as thunderbolt randomly fire out of the storm dealing massive damage and finally the foe gets sent down in a powerful singular thunder bolt and from the smoke you see primal Pikachu stand on top of the wounded foe with a sinister grin then kicks them away letting them get up and resume the fight
Just a note from the Google poll that people really miss a lot when talking about how popular Greninja actually is, the poll was divided between Generations (meaning you could vote for 1 pokemon per Gen) and the main reason Greninja got so much votes was because the Gen 6 pool was so much lower (meaning less competition) to compare Charizard (4th) was in a pool of 151 pokemon which have a lot of nostalgia while Greninja had less than half of that with 72 In the end it was a combination of Greninja being popular while also of being one of few notable Pokemon from Gen 6 unlike most generations
Gen 6 was the only generation I didn't pick the Grass Starter. Though I guess GF decided to balance things out after Gen 5's only good starter design was Serperior so they made Gen 6's grass type the worst.
@@vergilsonofsparda2350 I meant more "weird shape" pokemon. Not four legs or humanoid. The closest thing here is Mimikyu. I think Palossand or Falinks would be cool!
@@thepikawott I know what you meant, I just wanted to know who you personally would add. Now that you mention is, I think Palossand would probably be the best choice for an inanimate object Pokemon. Either him or Vannilish.
Why couldn’t you just add 10 more on the original roster? I can’t imagine why they would not just add on top of what they got, especially when the hypothetical lost of pokken favorites would definitely decrease interest of fans who sunk hours into their favorite Pokémon that are now missing
I disagree in this loss of interest. They won’t lose many fans by purging the roster, but they will gain many more who see their favorites get a chance to shine for the first time. However if they were going for lazy. Your way is the best by far
Why would it be lazy? Why would a company delete fully functioning characters just to make room for entirely new ones? That’s not efficient game development at all and for someone like me who mained Braixen, it would hurt not having her in the game more than getting another favorite of mine.
@@HelpfulArtifact I see your point about lazy. I was wrong. However, I still agree with my point on redoing the roster. You and many others may be hurt by the loss of a character, but the average player will not stop playing simply because their main is gone. Meanwhile it is undeniably enticing too onlookers to see new characters and the more the better. Especially when the franchise is a Pokemon spinoff. Plus I am absolutely a defender of new move-sets. Sure a lot should stay the same, but I like having character movesets evolve. That typically doesn't happen when more than half your roster are returning faces.
@@HelpfulArtifact But it is lazy! People have called out Nintendo for years for reusing graphics in pokemon sequels. Not doing something just because it's "not efficient game development" is the very definition of lazy game development! A new game should be a new experience imo, and extending a game should be reserved for DLC. Also more != better. You often end up with really gimmicky characters because the devs ran out of ways to distinguish characters.
I think keeping fighting games' rosters consistent is normally important, but I feel that Pokkén functions so well as what it is that making a new entry with almost all new Pokémon wouldn't feel like you lose the old ones, but a new installment. Sure, I'd miss Croagunk and Scizor (my mains), but I can always go back and play Pokkén 1. A completely fresh take would have higher potential to be a better game and would bring people back to the old game as well as to the new game.
6:55 Actually, Braixen was included because of the anime, as Serena's main was Braixen. Same with Croagunk belonging to Brock and constantly using Poison Jab on him whenever he got too close to the ladies. In other words, even the odder picks had an explanation, even if you had to look at the anime to get them.
@@whipple1796 sure but we need a 2nd generation mon, and unless we want to remove, say Greninja for Feraligatre or Ivysaur for Bayleef, that's what we're left with
Aaron: "the first game had 4 legendaries including the secret fighter" Also aaron: "that means we need 4 legendaries since we aren't including the secret fighter"
Mewtwo cannot be cut, and Pokemon has 5 types left for representation. There has to be more new Pokemon fighters. Edit: I'm refering to Smash Ultimate and not Pokken.
I would just add Mewtwo as an unplayable boss character. It may not help some people, but this would seem likely if all past Pokken fighters are cut aside from the ones returning.
I'm still waiting for a Persona 5 Arena video!! Edit: And since this year is like Persona 25th anniversary its the perfect year to think about this game
For the build the roster ideas 1: capcom vs snk 3 2: Shonen jump vs capcom 3: marvel vs dc fighting game 4: tekken x street fighter or namco x capcom 5:capcom all stars game 6: street fighter 6 post third strike
You know what would be even cooler than Shonen Jump vs Capcom? Jump Stars x Super Smash Bros. Sure, it's not Goku in Smash, but it's the next best thing. I'm sure Sakurai would jump at the chance to make such a game if he could. I also don't really see the point of "Capcom All Stars". Like, isn't that just the vs. Capcom series? Sure, I guess trying to assemble all the biggest Capcom stars specifically gives them more room to breathe, but like... with a Capcom fighting game, that'd just end up being the roster of any given MvC game plus like 2 more Darkstalkers and like 10 more Street Fighters.
I just want him to talk about jjojo my man. He made a reference to stands in the darkstalkers video. Us fans haven't gotten a jojo fighter since 2015. I just want someone to talk about a jojo game for an hour, is it too much to ask?
Man, I really can't get over how nostalgic I get over that giant arcade sprite of Ryu from the intro to Street Fighter 2 at the beginning of your build the roster opening.
Vespiquen in particular feels like it would be a super interesting fighter depending on how we intergrare her orders and combee (like imagine if she quickly summons a wall as a defensive option)
I love Pokken Tournament. It looked beautiful, the mechanics are unique, the burst attacks are straight up anime finishers, the combat is fun, strategic and just satisfying. Considering how versatile Pokémon is with it's powers and abilities, adding new characters would do wonders. Greninja, Infernape, Zoroark, Hydreigon and Gallade are good examples of new fighters I can include.
I really don't care for the idea of adding Pokemon that were in Smash already, especially in the case of Incineroar. The fact that Decidueye gets the cut only to be replaced by Incineroar doesn't feel right at all. At least it could have at least been Primarina since it hasn't appeared in literally anything fighting game related. And while Greninja is popular, you could honestly go with ninja like Pokemon who, again, hasn't already been in Smash yet.
@@Nosretep accelgor? I mean i get hes kinda of a Ninja but is he the definite most popular pokemon? No, its not about Greninja being in Smash, its about him being the most popular pokemon ever from the most recent and most accurate (due to many, MANY voters) poll for Pokemon. But i do agree about Decidueye but the roster needs individuality, and Incineroar is perfect for a grappler type character, with only 24 slots he cant just add any Pokemon, and its much easier to use Pokemon from smash do to their already made movesets allowing people to easily allow their fighting style to be seen, not to mention smash is much more popular then Pokken currently so adding pokemon from there can bring some smash players who main such characters to play the game. Remember we're not making a dream roster, we're making a cool roster that will also sell well. And trust me, i think people would rather buy the game with the most popular pokemon on the cover rather than.....Accelgor. And ninjask too. Plus we already have multiple not so popular Pokemon oddballs in the mix for variety
Here’s a character idea; Deoxys. It could work like this: It has four forms: Base, attack, speed, and defense. Base form would be an all ‘rounder, not leaning too far into speed, bulk, or damage, and being a good mix of all three. *Attack Form* is basically a glass cannon. It can go all in basically delete your healthbar, but one bad move and you’re looking at a deleted healthbar! *Speed Form* is perfect for either closing or making the distance! You can play it offensively and keep the pressure on or defensively and dip when you start getting overwhelmed! It’s great at whittling down the opponents health! *Defense Form* is meant to either keep opponents off of them or overpower the opponent with its bulk. It’s constantly shrugging off attacks like they don’t exist and in return, able to knock them away like an afterthought to heal, set up, or get into a good position! Basically: Base Form: Attack= - Defense= - Speed = - Attack Form: Attack= ⇧ Defense= ⇩ Speed= - Speed Form: Attack= ⇩ Defense= - Speed= ⇧ Defense Form: Attack= - Defense=⇧ Speed=⇩ Now, how would changing forms work? I can see it working like this! It could work like Pokémon Trainer’s Pokémon change, you can choose which form you want before the match begins, and you can change the form during the battle whenever necessary! If anyone wants a follow up, give me ideas for what I should come up for Deoxys, or maybe even other potential Pokémon! Oookay; so I didn’t see the end of the video so I was kiiiiiinda blindsided by the fact it was already included… WHOOPS ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
honestly id love to see a build a roster for a digimon fighting game similar to fighting games like Guilty Gear. Off the wall and crazy cool characters.
Personally I would love Golisopod in the game. I imagine it would have fast attacks in field faze, and have slower and stronger attacks in the other, to mimic its play style and the move first impression
Ok so hear me out: Tyrantrum, a rock-dragon T.rex with a unique body shape and varied attacks like bites, Dragon Pulses, Rock Tombs, tail smacks, stomps, etc. Or he could go into Pokemon Unite idrc.
That would be super interesting as no bird-shaped pokemon have been in Pokken yet! EDIT: Just realized Decidueye and Garchomp are fighters, but still. Decidueye is more humanoid than bird-shaped; and Garchomp, while kinda being a dinosauroid, is really just garchomp-shaped. it would be super interesting to have Tyrantrum as a fighter as he wouldn't have use for his arms
In the manga there was an Eevee that switched back and forth between Vaporeon, Jolteon and Flareon temporarily; it was a Team Rocket experiment. An Eevee that could do that with all its evolutions could make for a really cool moveset.
Are you suggesting they take an aspect from a late-90s/early-00s manga adaptation just to make an off-the-wall moveset that doesn't make sense in any other context?
Good vid as always. And a few ideas of my own for this series: -Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion 2 (Suggested it before and was working on my own version but I doubt it'll be as good as yours) -Jump Force 2 -Disney fighting game/Smash clone based on that rumored scrapped game -TMNT: Tournament Fighters sequel
I too would like to see a Jump Force 2 roster idea, keeping the franchises from the first game while also adding new ones that fit the idea of the game as well.
Cartoon networks:punch time explosions I would like to see because I feel like the characters fit the smash bros style fighting unlike PlayStation all-star battle royal I feel like PlayStation could have a MVC style of fighting and I would like to see a marvel only fighting game (even though I do like MVC games) why a marvel only fighting game because there were rumors netherrealm maybe making marvel fighting game and from a business perspective they maybe need to change it up since when you look at the release of the game so yeah I feel people would expect it to happen so I think maybe for the game awards edd boon show up say that her is injustice 3 but it show marvel logo instead and show a bit of the story mode and gameplay in it everyone would freak out during this.
say despite these characters would fit in the CArtoon Network punch time explotion sequal, but do you think brock samson or the monarch as playable characters?
Wold be better a new franchaise of jump games like a spiritual sequel of jump ultimate stars/ D.O.N. Battle stadium or maybe a jump game made by arc sis, because jump force have a philosophy about not include comedy mangas and only chose popular or mitical franchaises in a specific part of the world this fact reduce the number of weird picks that can use and like in the original game saturate the roster of popular franchaises like dragon ball, naruto, one puece bleach etc
I would of liked to see tyranitar as it's from one of the earlier gens and could help with the beefy characters. It could specialise in close quarter combat with a very strong punch but very slow mobility similiar how their stat spread is represented in the mainstream games. They could use their short arms for short range combat and use their spikes as a counter to air attacks and use their tail to give space between them and the opponent. For field phase maybe use something like Rock slide as the projectiles where rocks are launched at the target similiar to how croagunks existing sludge Bomb works. For closing in on the target maybe something like pursuit where they chase them down resulting in a grab or a bite? For their synergy burst maybe their mega evolution spikes form like a mountain and they throw the target up only to be speared when they come back down. I dunno, I just think something really creative could come out of this pokemon and could get a lot of original fans into this series and make the roster more diverse 🤷♂️
It's Sand Stream ability is pretty iconic at this point, it could work well in the field phase as a buff: by successfully parrying enough hits, Sand Stream would activate and its speed would increase, rewarding the player with a versatile option to escape pressure. Even though I'm not particularly fond of Ttar, who wouldn't want to play as Poké-Godzilla?
It’s a shame you didn’t put Scizor on the returning list, (i love Scizor, but also-) because Scizor has Swords Dance, allowing him to have an the interesting option to buff himself, and the list didn’t have any characters that seemed like setup characters. (also, i don’t know of any notable trainers for Scizor aside from Blue, who has a Scizor in the manga)
I'm actually working on a roster and so far the characters I think are complete. I've kept 6 of the returning character and added 12-13 newcomers to a total of 18-19 playable characters. Not going into detail about why I added them but if this comment does well or if you and other people are curious then I'll edit the comment and explain why. The 6 returning are: TankMan, Pico, Hank, Fancy Pants, Alien Hominid, and Salad Fingers. 12-13 newcomers are: The Chosen One, Edd (Tom and Matt as echo/alternate costumes), Dad n Me (or Dad), Bitey, Henry Stickmin, Glidedguy, Ula and Margo (working as Pyra and Mythra where you could change the character), Tarboy, Geo, Ami (Geo and Ami are from the Gwain Saga series and I think just adding Geo doesn't feel right because if you're going to add Geo, you're going to need to add Ami because there like peanut butter and jelly but she will be a separate character with unique moves). And the new one, guest characters but only 2 and this one was difficult. So the last two would be Killer Bean and Double King. So in this sequel of Newgrounds Rumble, I've been working on for the past few weeks are: TankMan, Pico, Hank, Fancy Pants, Alien Hominid, Salad Fingers, The Chosen One, Edd, Dad, Bitey, Henry, Glidedguy, Ula and Margo, Tarboy, Geo, Ami, Killer Bean, and Double King. Again, if you want a full detail on why I added these characters just comment down or if this comment does well. I won't respond quickly but I hope that this is a good roster for some people and don't worry. There will be DLC and all of the OG from Newground rumbles to return...but not Henchmen and Convict. Convict I think works better as an assist trophy/assist and Henchmen as a costume for Hank because although henchmen is a cool troll pick, as a roster this small it isn't worth it for a whole slot.
@@tariqshehata1221 I was also currently working on a roster of my own about this. It feels a bit big in hindsight, but some of the characters I have might not all be present if it ever becomes its own game. I selected my character by setting up four different categories that have four fighters with four unlockables in each one, totaling up to 32 fighters in total. Legacy: Characters that have been created by Tom Pulp, The Behemoth, and/or represents Newgrounds Iconic: Characters that made a big impact on Newgrounds Newcomers: Characters that have made a recent appearance on Newgrounds Re-Release: Characters that have made game releases outside of Newgrounds I won't detail every character, but here are a few that I chose and why. John Egbert from Homestuck: During the release day of [S] Cascade, a Flash animation update of Homestuck wrapping up Homestuck's fifth act, many fans tried to watch it at the same time that it temporarily crashed Newgrounds. It goes to show how iconic Homestuck was back in 2011. Boyfriend from Friday Night Funkin: This is a no-brainer. FNF is currently the most popular Newgrounds game of the year. That practically means something for this newcomer of a release. Meat Boy from Super Meat Boy: The newest game, Super Meat Boy Forever, released recently and would make sense to include. I would also have Bandage Girl as an alternate skin since both MB and BG played similar styles from the two games they appeared playable in. Arza from Defender's Quest: Looking back at the roster of the first, it bummed me out with the lack of female characters in it. I added some extra female characters in this. I also wanted to include some characters from very obscure games that people might have forgotten about. The game is currently coming soon to the Nintendo Switch and a sequel is in development.
@@mojonoahgamer5647 This really makes me want a sequel so badly. I've already had the idea of Meat Boy and Boyfriend as playable characters on a free update/DLC but Arza and John Egbert sound like great picks for weird characters. I love weird/obscure characters or characters that I've never heard of before. Wanted to add 18-19 characters in total (but will be more for free updates/DLC like Super Smash Flash 2) because I wanted to have 6 returning and add 12 new characters. 32 does sound good but I had to make it as unbiased as possible and it was difficult. Yeah, there are a few biases in this list but it was tough. So if you want my reason why I added the newcomers: The Chosen One: The iconic character in the stickmen animation of all time Edd: Again an iconic character like The Chosen One and I'm definitely adding Tom and Matt as alternate costumes Dad: I added him because I knew if there going to make a sequel someone is going to add Dad because he has been in most crossover/cameos Bitey: Again with Dad, if there is a crossover, he will be added Henry Stickmin: This dude is popular alone because of youtube and I think will be the most unique character in the game Ula and Margo: Was considering adding ENA in the base game until I realized that Ula and Margo are aliens and there is a character that has the first name called Alien and for that alone makes too much sense to add them in the game but I'll let them play as Pyra and Mythra. Let them have the same attacks but different hitboxes and special attacks. Also, need more female characters Glidedguy: This dude is literally the RYU of animation. He has a series that literally has Vs. It's like he fits in a crossover game Geo: Again, he just screams "put me in a crossover fighting game" and he used to work with the Jamcaves which used to have fair ties with Newgrounds so that's something. Ami: I know it sounds weird to have another rep for Gwain Saga but Ami and Geo are like peanut butter and jelly. If you're going to add Geo, you're going to need to add Ami. Also again, we need more female characters and...Newground rumbles have a lot of characters that are not "heroes" in a way but there more of just characters that are psychopaths or edgy which is fine but I think having a character that is cute and wholesome I think would make her the most unique. Tarboy: I was considering adding him for DLC but I realized that Fancy Pants fight against an ink version of himself so I think for that alone he stays base game and I would add the creator James Lee as the announcer of the sequel because James Lee sounds perfect as the announcer Now the guest characters Killer Bean: Do I really need to say more, just have Killer Bean fighting or teaming up with Hank alone would be cool Double King: Wanted to add a weird pick so I added Double King and also I think he fits and feels like a Newgrounds character. Ok not going too deep in DLC except that I would bring everyone back (except for Convict and Henchmen), add characters that are fan favorites, iconic, legacy, guest characters, and the weird picks. And a fan ballot of the top 5 characters to join the series. But if I was in charge of the DLC, I would pick the last three characters to be: Auditor (Madness Combat), Luna (Gwain Saga), and Piconjo, and their trailers would be them defeating the heroes and laughing that they control Newgrounds. Yeah and I'm not even done but I'll stop here because this is getting way too long. Again great picks and I would love to hear more. But it's getting late in my time zone so good night and take care.
Honestly, I would put Melmetal as a fighter, I would also have its play style be that “unpredictable” play style, where you can’t predict most of its attacks at times.
At first i was sceptical with some of these choices, until i saw the final roster on the board. Based as hell. Flames. Every dlc except zoroark i was cheering for too during that lmfao so the dlc was hype. I had a few ideas for packs of 3 for fighters to be added. Thought id share: Sinnoh titans pack: Magmortar: single typed fire type that can spread lava plume traps and devistating ranged attacks as well as deliver some nice regular roundabouts. Morty (elite four member for sinnoh) as the trainer. Electivire: big bruiser meant for huge electric attacks. Powerful grabs, some end lag perhaps and heafty power. Perhaps some great ground game okay air game will pull in electric attacks. Trainer would be the other sinnoh gym leader whos at the end. Sorry forgot the name Dusknoir: villain esc pokemon representing evil once again. Great physical attacks and huge range on them with few specials. Slow but sets up mobility tools such as trick room and shadow sneak. Tanky as hell. Either cyrus to break the rules a bit or unique trainer perhaps Returning pokemon pack: Scizor: bug and steel type mascot, popular and is great to finish off bug type in general. Trainer aaron cause why the fuck not :P Croagunk: first evo and an amazing off the wall pick no one would expect. With an unexpected trainer too, brock. From the anime Mewtwo: enter mewtwo vs deoxys battle. Come on, we all want it. Plus no trainer needed Fighting pack: Hitmonchan and lee: they were made for this game. And bounce off eachother pretty well. Maybe flip one for sawk or throh. Trainers i wouldnt knoe though, perhaps new ones Conkeldurr: machamp's rival by a big shot. Marshall as trainer and meant for huge hits and surprisingly great counters and range Legendary pack: Raiku: replaces suicune but keeps true to what suicune originaly was. Or just flip flop with actual suicune. Trainer being the guy in gen 2 who liked suicune. Forgot name, sorry Regirock: OBSCURE AS HELL and regigigas too big even though i love it. Would be huge still, wall, cool ranged attacks like zap canon, charge beam, rock throw, flash canon, lock on for support. He could work abd would be an interesting decision. Trainer being that guy from the battle frontier with all legendaries Melloetta: stance changes. Need i honestly say more? Its moveset explains the rest. The trainer could be the guy from the anime with melloetta or a new trainer And finaly, either another returning fighter pack, or this pack that i made. The rival pack Emboar/samurott: could add serpeior too but im emboar fan and samurott aint bad neither. Could flip flop. Rival being hugh. And they are great pokemon. Unova starters could shine Swampert: finaly, give it some love. Blaziken AND sceptile in the last one? Nah, time for the best one. Trainer being either may or the other guy (im horrible with names my b lmao) And finaly, primarina: female fighter, could represent possibly hau even if he would have decidueye. Plus they could swim in the air and would be obscure as hell. Love it. Sorry, this list also reflects my opinion a lot even if it may not be too good or crazy. But nice list none the less. Love the flow it had. Good shit mate!
My biggest 5 gripes are easily Zacian, Mimikyu going from Support to fighter, Sylveon, no gen 2 or 5 reps in the base game and the fact that most character's would just be rushdown machine's without many big differences, like in Pokkén 1, Gengar and Darkrai are the main Install characters, but they work very differently as Gengar is based on his Burst Gauge while Darkrai want's to land Dark Void from one of his confirms from a trap. And Darkrai also doesn't clash with Sceptile much as a Trap based character. On Sylveon, honestly i think Suicune from 1 just fits better. Sylveon would most likely be a mid-range/Zoner who pressures with Hyper Voice, but then we look at Suicune's size compared to Sylveon. Many of Sylveon's close up combos would need to have horrible damage to accomodate her legs and Ribbons size compared to Suicune. +, this fixes the no Gen 2 problem in the base game. Mimikyu should imo just stay as a support. Even if it's moveset was unorthodox, i honestly feel like it would be a bit TOO unorthodox. I think she could be a very good unorthodox Grappler, but then you look at the roster and in Pokkén 1, Machamp and Zard are both Grapplers, i could see Incin being a grappler, Kangaskhan being a grappler with just lifting them so their baby could beat tf out of the opponent, Libre from Pokkén 1 also was a semi-grappler with Electroweb being dumb, etc. Then, Zacian. 4 legged characters are very hard to make work in fighting games and all i could see for Zacian is an Aegislash but with a bigger hitbox and wonky looking movement in Duel. And if you're gonna say "This removes all the fairy type representation!", Zacian could easily be switched for a different fairy type or to bring Gardevoir back to bring the game to 3-4 zoners again. This still leaves the game with no Gen 5 representation sadly, but i tried ok?
@@ArkaSaurusRex218 Honestly could see Zoroark as a Pokémon who uses the opponents moves for incredibly unique combos, whose gameplan differs a lot in match-ups. Only issue would be balancing, as that sounds incredibly broken.
Also will add to this, there should be more returning reps, maybe even EVERY one of them returning. This game has insanely well designed characters that make the game, well, diverse. Supports open it up even more. As an example: You can run Eevee/Frogadier with Machamp to help you approach and to do INSANE damage, or you can do Mega Rayquaza/Mimikyu to do unblockables or hard punish players for doing a projectile as an example and set-up oki. The options are already so diverse and ESPECIALLY WITH THIS ROSTER FROM THE VIDEO many archetypes are left out, and Pokkén DX already fills them with insanely creative characters.
Funnily enough, I am actually making a roster for a pokemon fighting game with gameplay similar to the marvel vs capcom games (infinite specifically since I think the tag mechanic can work well with the game I am thinking(also this game is just an idea, not really gonna happen, I just felt like doing it just because and that's it)). And it even had the idea with (some) pokemon having trainers, except I went with the idea of picking 5 characters from each generation with a pokemon they have on their team. I already have gen 1 finished with: Red (charizard) Blue (Pidgeot or blastoise) Giovanni (Nidoking) Lt. Surge (Electabuzz) Oak (Tauros) I was having a bit of trouble with gen 2 and later gens but I think watching your vid helped me out a lot. P.S. if anyone have any questions about my idea or about who\what's going to be in it, feel free to ask. P.P.S. Zacian is actually female, it says so in her pokedex entry. Just wanted to point that out for you
@@ramirezserranodanielaaron5724 the limits of it would be that it can only be a fighting game like Street Fighter or Skullgirls, and that each game is limited to only one representative.
@@themysteriousstrangerthatd8508 i refer to his cases skullgirls is a 2d tradicional hand drawned figthing game its more easier reciclate atacks from another characters if are drawns with 3d models are so more harder and only work his copy the entire character like shang tsung in mk11 or eleven in sf5, almost shang tsung and twelve have his own moveset also copy
Honestly I would've cut Greninja and kept Sceptile due to the fact Greninja's moves, and combos in the dual-phase including having the Inzua Drop as the grab technique are all copy-paste of the moves and combos Sceptile had for the dual-phase. If we really needed a 2nd shinobi/ninja on the roster I would've gone with putting fan-favorite Gen 7 Bug/Grass type Lurantus in as the kunoichi of the roster mostly besides possibly getting moves reminiscent of Kasumi from the DOA series including having the whole teleporting via cherry blossom petals as a win animation her dual-phase moves, and combos including the grab would've been different due to her scythe-arms.
@@indeed260 I'm pretty sure it was because she's the champion of Unova in Black and White 2 and before then was a gym leader. Who else would be a better pick as a Haxorus trainer after all? Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't remeber him saying anything about the anime for her.
The "out there" choices didn't shock me. I was hoping for some really weird picks. Klefki would be an amazing small hitbox tricksy fighter that doesn't do much damage but can be very annoying. Kabutops could be a fun way to bring back Bill. Also no Gen 2? Heracross maybe.
You should have a hidden bonus battle with urshifu thats like the tekken 7 Akuma fight. The one that was the hardest boss fight in recent games. Just turn his mechanics up to 11 in a true fight to the death between light and dark.
He did bring up urshifu single strike as a secret fight/unlockable player. I am in agreement that he should on the same level as the fight against Akuma in Tekken 7.
We got to have silver is our first DLC, after all, his dad is Giovanni!! , Which out of all the big things that they could've done it in a ultra sun and moon, that was the biggest downside! Sure you bring back red and blue, but you didn't bring back the big bad son to battle his dad!
olly tropics Crobat is cool and would make for a fun character. But if we are talking about adding Silver as a representative of Jotho, we should give him a Pokémon iconic to him. Besides the starter, the Pokémon he is seen most with across incarnations is Sneasle. So it would make the most sense to give it to him
Honestly, thank you for choosing Vespiquen over Golisopod as the Bug type rep. She’s not only one of my favorite bug type Pokémon, she’s also my favorite Sinnoh Pokémon and one of my all time favorite Pokémon! I wanted to see her in the spotlight since the first Pokken was announced so this is the next best thing I suppose
As a huge Golisopod fan, Vespiquen is a great pick that will have a unique feel compared to any other fighter here. I would love to see some kind of Emergency Exit combo breaker/dash out with invulnerability frames to keep golisopod unique in that he cant be trapped.
Both Golisopod and Vespiquen was neat choices. Golisopod can fight like a hit and run fighter and I wish that Vespiquen is a puppet fighter instead of a zoner.
For Lycanroc, I think it would be interesting if it was a stance switcher that swapped between its Day and Night forms. For its Synergy Burst, it could change into its Dusk form and use its unique Z move.
So, Thorgi shoots down Urshifu as a stance fighter because evolutions don't work that way, but you think Lycanroc, whose evolution works similarly, would still work?
Funny thing is that the Pokedex lists him as being only a little over 11 feet or 3.5 meters. So he actually should'nt be too big to fit, just a bit bigger than the rest of the roster with some liberties being taken. I doubt the current Pokken roster is 100% up to scale anyways, so I'm sure they could get away with making Groudon slighlty smaller than usual if they needed to.
I LOVE THIS ROSTER! But honestly I think the Scorbunny feels more like one of those support Pokemon that you choose to help you in the fight, you know? Maybe this would be a good chance to include the 2nd gen if you'd swapped it for Typhlosion! Other than that, I'd completely buy this game lol
I’m pretty sure one of the higher-ups that made the game would love to do another one, but the pokemon company hasn’t given them any oks yet. Considering that the first game was pretty popular (at least I’m pretty sure), and the first game teased a sequel (not much, I know, but it’s something to consider), I wouldn’t be surprised if it came sooner or later
Just a suggestion, a Horror Movie fighting game. Freddy, Jason, Michael, etc. Ed Boon basically made the possible moveset for several characters already, and even expressed interest in possibly making a Horror movie fighting game. Maybe this could be a good Build the Roster for Halloween this year
Idk about taking out Chandelure. It’s one of the most popular Pokémon in Japan. Not including my persona love for this Pokémon alone, it has a lot of power in Japan; I’m pretty sure it won a poll to be in the roster.
@@ZeroRoyale I still remember fighting her in Soulsilver. Whenever I think about going vegan, I remeber her Miltank and quickly change my mind. The only thing that traumatizes Pokemon fans more is piano music You know why

Ok i think the sword and sheild representation was a LITTLE much, like id at least kick off Zacian. But aside from that one gripe. I had an idea that im surprised wasn't throw out as an honorable mention
The pokemon company has some unwritten rule of no stuff from the anime in the games
I think it's crazy but if they were ever to break that rule
If you do specific thing in the story/arcade mode then the meteor with deyxoys was in would be destroyed by Rayquaza just like I'm the games but the blue orb (I personally call it alpha Sapphire) from pokemon omega ruby and alpha Sapphire falls to ground
*If you watched the pokemon ruby and Sapphire show you know what's coming next*
and a random Pikachu picks it up and it takes control and that Pikachu is your new final boss in a form dubbed by the fans
*PRIMAL PIKACHU*
This thing has inspired tons of Wattpad fanfiction and angst oneshots in the pokemon fandom so if they broke the no anime rule it just seem right to start with this as a little tease too keep anime only fans happy and interested with the games
As for how it would fight I see it as the games "absurd power but easy to ko" fighter which was originally filled by shadow Mewtwo the previous big bad so the new big bad having it should be fitting.
Just a note from the Google poll that people really miss a lot when talking about how popular Greninja actually is, the poll was divided between Generations (meaning you could vote for 1 pokemon per Gen) and the main reason Greninja got so much votes was because the Gen 6 pool was so much lower (meaning less competition) to compare Charizard (4th) was in a pool of 151 pokemon which have a lot of nostalgia while Greninja had less than half of that with 72
In the end it was a combination of Greninja being popular while also of being one of few notable Pokemon from Gen 6 unlike most generations

Same with Croagunk belonging to Brock and constantly using Poison Jab on him whenever he got too close to the ladies.
In other words, even the odder picks had an explanation, even if you had to look at the anime to get them.
To be honest the only change I'd make would be Bayleaf over Ivysaur. Similar concept, but adds some gen 2 rep.
Neat suggestion. Maybe Bayleef and Lyra would be what you want?
Or maybe Carracosta over Lycanroc, and Piloswine over Froslass, all types still covered, all gens covered and a fossil Pokémon
Luke Deakin I kinda agree with you on the 1st one but froslass just rlly fits and I can imagine in the game just thinking about it
@@whipple1796 sure but we need a 2nd generation mon, and unless we want to remove, say Greninja for Feraligatre or Ivysaur for Bayleef, that's what we're left with

There's way too much gen 6-8 in this roster I feel. Like, way too much.

Yeah, definitely.
Well at least it isn't gen 1
Literally like no gen 5 mons. We could’ve had cool picks like Clay and Krookodile or iris and Haxorus but nope.
@@3eazy350 Gen 5 got 3 dlc mons at least, but no Gen 2 or 5 mons in the base roster does feel weird.
I feel like cutting Mewtwo to fit creatures like Kangaskan and Zachian is going to anger people.
Mewtwo cannot be cut, and Pokemon has 5 types left for representation. There has to be more new Pokemon fighters.
Edit: I'm refering to Smash Ultimate and not Pokken.
For sure
Zacian is overlap though
I would just add Mewtwo as an unplayable boss character. It may not help some people, but this would seem likely if all past Pokken fighters are cut aside from the ones returning.
if they made a sequel they would just tack on the roster. anyway, no reason to cut.
I'd love to see a game involving characters from multiple Persona games, or even the entire Megami Tensei franchise!
Persona 5 Arena would be dope!
I'm still waiting for a Persona 5 Arena video!!

For the build the roster ideas
1: capcom vs snk 3
2: Shonen jump vs capcom
3: marvel vs dc fighting game
4: tekken x street fighter or namco x capcom
5:capcom all stars game
6: street fighter 6 post third strike
@@jubisisters no
I just want him to talk about jjojo my man. He made a reference to stands in the darkstalkers video. Us fans haven't gotten a jojo fighter since 2015. I just want someone to talk about a jojo game for an hour, is it too much to ask?
So, the money shot of Shonen Jump VS Capcom has to be Goku and Ryu having a Kamehameha VS Hadouken beam clash, right?
Man, I really can't get over how nostalgic I get over that giant arcade sprite of Ryu from the intro to Street Fighter 2 at the beginning of your build the roster opening.
Ayo mad respect for your wife big man. I’m glad my guy could find someone like this
Dude you really had me in the second half, Vespiquen, Nidoking, and Obstagoon are some of my favorite Pokémon
I think both would be amazing, but as soon as he said professional wrestler I thought Hawlucha.
Ninjask and Accelgor
@@Nosretep Yes Accelgor!
...and Ninjask is cool too
@@Nosretep accelgor?
@@stephancrow8320 I honestly never cared about the dumb frog.
Here’s a character idea; Deoxys. It could work like this:
It has four forms: Base, attack, speed, and defense.
Basically:
Base Form: Attack= - Defense= - Speed = -
Attack Form: Attack= ⇧ Defense= ⇩ Speed= -
Speed Form: Attack= ⇩ Defense= - Speed= ⇧
Defense Form: Attack= - Defense=⇧ Speed=⇩
Now, how would changing forms work?

Good vid as always. And a few ideas of my own for this series:
-Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion 2 (Suggested it before and was working on my own version but I doubt it'll be as good as yours)
-Jump Force 2
-Disney fighting game/Smash clone based on that rumored scrapped game
-TMNT: Tournament Fighters sequel
BTW when’s Part 2 of your PTE roster video coming out?

Newgrounds Rumble: REMATCH
That would be cool!
THIS
I'm actually working on a roster and so far the characters I think are complete.
Legacy: Characters that have been created by Tom Pulp, The Behemoth, and/or represents Newgrounds
Iconic: Characters that made a big impact on Newgrounds
Newcomers: Characters that have made a recent appearance on Newgrounds
Re-Release: Characters that have made game releases outside of Newgrounds
I won't detail every character, but here are a few that I chose and why.
So if you want my reason why I added the newcomers:
The Chosen One: The iconic character in the stickmen animation of all time
Edd: Again an iconic character like The Chosen One and I'm definitely adding Tom and Matt as alternate costumes
Dad: I added him because I knew if there going to make a sequel someone is going to add Dad because he has been in most crossover/cameos
Bitey: Again with Dad, if there is a crossover, he will be added
Henry Stickmin: This dude is popular alone because of youtube and I think will be the most unique character in the game
Ula and Margo: Was considering adding ENA in the base game until I realized that Ula and Margo are aliens and there is a character that has the first name called Alien and for that alone makes too much sense to add them in the game but I'll let them play as Pyra and Mythra. Let them have the same attacks but different hitboxes and special attacks. Also, need more female characters
Glidedguy: This dude is literally the RYU of animation. He has a series that literally has Vs. It's like he fits in a crossover game
Geo: Again, he just screams "put me in a crossover fighting game" and he used to work with the Jamcaves which used to have fair ties with Newgrounds so that's something.
Tarboy: I was considering adding him for DLC but I realized that Fancy Pants fight against an ink version of himself so I think for that alone he stays base game and I would add the creator James Lee as the announcer of the sequel because James Lee sounds perfect as the announcer
Now the guest characters
Killer Bean: Do I really need to say more, just have Killer Bean fighting or teaming up with Hank alone would be cool
Double King: Wanted to add a weird pick so I added Double King and also I think he fits and feels like a Newgrounds character.
I know he’s got no chance either in this or a hypothetical actual roster but I’m still gonna hope somehow Turtwig or his evolutions appear
I prefer turtwig to Ivysaur. I am an Ivysaur fan myself, but he’s in smash, I need me some fresh blood.

Same.
At first i was sceptical with some of these choices, until i saw the final roster on the board. Based as hell. Flames. Every dlc except zoroark i was cheering for too during that lmfao so the dlc was hype. I had a few ideas for packs of 3 for fighters to be added. Thought id share:
Sinnoh titans pack:
Magmortar: single typed fire type that can spread lava plume traps and devistating ranged attacks as well as deliver some nice regular roundabouts.
Sorry forgot the name
Dusknoir: villain esc pokemon representing evil once again. Great physical attacks and huge range on them with few specials. Slow but sets up mobility tools such as trick room and shadow sneak. Tanky as hell. Either cyrus to break the rules a bit or unique trainer perhaps
Returning pokemon pack:
Scizor: bug and steel type mascot, popular and is great to finish off bug type in general. Trainer aaron cause why the fuck not :P
Croagunk: first evo and an amazing off the wall pick no one would expect. With an unexpected trainer too, brock. From the anime
Mewtwo: enter mewtwo vs deoxys battle. Come on, we all want it. Plus no trainer needed
Fighting pack:
Hitmonchan and lee: they were made for this game. And bounce off eachother pretty well. Maybe flip one for sawk or throh. Trainers i wouldnt knoe though, perhaps new ones
Conkeldurr: machamp's rival by a big shot. Marshall as trainer and meant for huge hits and surprisingly great counters and range
Legendary pack:
Raiku: replaces suicune but keeps true to what suicune originaly was. Or just flip flop with actual suicune. Trainer being the guy in gen 2 who liked suicune. Forgot name, sorry
Regirock: OBSCURE AS HELL and regigigas too big even though i love it. Would be huge still, wall, cool ranged attacks like zap canon, charge beam, rock throw, flash canon, lock on for support. He could work abd would be an interesting decision. Trainer being that guy from the battle frontier with all legendaries
Melloetta: stance changes. Need i honestly say more? Its moveset explains the rest. The trainer could be the guy from the anime with melloetta or a new trainer
And finaly, either another returning fighter pack, or this pack that i made. The rival pack
Emboar/samurott: could add serpeior too but im emboar fan and samurott aint bad neither. Could flip flop. Rival being hugh. And they are great pokemon. Unova starters could shine
Swampert: finaly, give it some love. Blaziken AND sceptile in the last one? Nah, time for the best one. Trainer being either may or the other guy (im horrible with names my b lmao)
And finaly, primarina: female fighter, could represent possibly hau even if he would have decidueye. Plus they could swim in the air and would be obscure as hell. Love it.
Sorry, this list also reflects my opinion a lot even if it may not be too good or crazy. But nice list none the less. Love the flow it had. Good shit mate!
Ridley- I mean Regigigas is too big for Pokken
Ampharos would be a neat addition as a new electric type. It also has a nice mega form for synergy mode.
I'm still waiting for Punch Time Explosion
Same here, dude! I have been thinking about that as well. I just hope we'd get an episode of that where it would make up for the last PTE installment.
yes
That game is perfect check my channel for some matches lol
Way better than what this guy offered
I can see N having either Zoroark, or if you wanted a deeper sidestory, maybe Ghetsiss old Hydreigon, and that would fill in for all gens.
I already have gen 1 finished with:
Red (charizard)
Blue (Pidgeot or blastoise)
Giovanni (Nidoking)
Lt. Surge (Electabuzz)
Oak (Tauros)
I was having a bit of trouble with gen 2 and later gens but I think watching your vid helped me out a lot.
P.S. if anyone have any questions about my idea or about who\what's going to be in it, feel free to ask.
P.P.S. Zacian is actually female, it says so in her pokedex entry. Just wanted to point that out for you

Depend of the franchises would be limited if not will be a literal mugen game
@@ramirezserranodanielaaron5724 the limits of it would be that it can only be a fighting game like Street Fighter or Skullgirls, and that each game is limited to only one representative.

Torgi: gives greninja an original trainer
Ash, who can use a special form that has the exact same concept of pokken: Am I a Joke to you?
I guess he wanted to steer away from the anime for some reason
@@vergilsonofsparda2350 doubt it. A big reason why he included Iris was because she was in the anime
@@indeed260 I'm pretty sure it was because she's the champion of Unova in Black and White 2 and before then was a gym leader. Who else would be a better pick as a Haxorus trainer after all? Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't remeber him saying anything about the anime for her.
@@vergilsonofsparda2350 he did say that was a reason

The "out there" choices didn't shock me. I was hoping for some really weird picks. Klefki would be an amazing small hitbox tricksy fighter that doesn't do much damage but can be very annoying. Kabutops could be a fun way to bring back Bill. Also no Gen 2? Heracross maybe.
with gen 9 now out, I could see sylveon's trainer being Penny
It could bring in some gen 2 representation too perhaps croconaw or feraligatr
olly tropics we already have so many starters. How about Sneasel instead?
@@frankwest5388 crobat would be cooler imo
olly tropics Crobat is cool and would make for a fun character. But if we are talking about adding Silver as a representative of Jotho, we should give him a Pokémon iconic to him.
Besides the starter, the Pokémon he is seen most with across incarnations is Sneasle. So it would make the most sense to give it to him
@@frankwest5388 mehh he's got a ho oh in masters so he's pretty flexible imo
Lucario: (Doesn't get a canonical character)
Korrina: Am I a joke to you?
How could you cut Gengar, he definately seemed to be one of the Tentpoles of the first game.

@@bertiec3455 Don't you mean Wonk?
For Lycanroc, I think it would be interesting if it was a stance switcher that swapped between its Day and Night forms. For its Synergy Burst, it could change into its Dusk form and use its unique Z move.
That’s a great idea
I have an Idea similar to you for Pyroar where he could switch between Male and Female Pyroars in the Pride
So, Thorgi shoots down Urshifu as a stance fighter because evolutions don't work that way, but you think Lycanroc, whose evolution works similarly, would still work?
that's... not how evolving works.
@@derpylemon852 It doesn't really matter in a spinoff game. It wouldn't be good if the type effectiveness chart came into play, right?
I think there would be a problem with putting Groundon in the game since you know, he's "kinda" big
I kinda wanted to see Onix but same problem, geodude might be better, or maybe Hippopotas
Incineroar, Obstagoon, Urshifu...AND Zoroark?!
*That's it. **_You just earned a sub._** How did I not see this concept sooner!?*
Really hope we get a sequel. Fighting games and pokemon was a combo I was waiting for forever
Maybe this could be a good Build the Roster for Halloween this year
Sad that we'd never have that new Terrordome game
Idk about taking out Chandelure. It’s one of the most popular Pokémon in Japan. Not including my persona love for this Pokémon alone, it has a lot of power in Japan; I’m pretty sure it won a poll to be in the roster.
kangaskhan never shined
meanwhile his mega form: UNLIMITED POWER
This build a roster is literally everything I have ever wanted from Pokken Tournament🔥 Literally all of my wants are here
Aditional Pokemon/legacy trainer team ideas:
Geodude and brock
Miltank and witney
Celibi and professor oak
Dragonite and lance
The thought of Geodude chucking mons like Machamp and Metagross around makes me chuckle lol.
> Whitney
Do you want to traumatize people?!
@@ZeroRoyale I still remember fighting her in Soulsilver. Whenever I think about going vegan, I remeber her Miltank and quickly change my mind. The only thing that traumatizes Pokemon fans more is piano music
You know why
@@ZeroRoyale yes.
Out of the four, Miltank and Whitney seem the most likely and is recognizable for better or worse. Also Miltank needs to have rollout in its moveset to really bring the bad memories.
Too bad my boy Tepig isn't in this game
PS: Could youy do either Jump Charge (A new Weekly Shonen Jump crossover fighting game) or Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion 2?
A channel is already doing cartoon network punch time explosion 2
My picks would have been mostly really different, but with so many pokemons it's understandable.
Here's my attempt at a Pokken 2 roster, following the same rules you set (5 returning characters, 19 new characters, 6 DLC characters).
Returning characters:
1: Pikachu
2: Mewtwo
3: Lucario
4: Charizard
5: Machamp
New characters:
6: Greninja (a fast rushdown character with unpredictable movements and confusing ninja techniques)
7: Incineroar (a powerful grappler with flashy moves)
8: Inteleon (a long-ranged zoner that attacks with water jets)
9: Buzzwole (a powerful bruiser with a command grab that drains some health from its opponent)
10: Hawlucha (a small but fast fighter with spectacular strikes and great air mobility)
11: Hitmonlee (basically the Dhalsim of this game, attacking from afar with powerful kicks)
12: Gallade (a combination of Gardevoir and Sceptile from the first Pokken)
13: Sylveon (an unpredictable fighter that uses its ribbons to attack from afar)
14: Crabominable (a slow behemoth with incredibly powerful punches)
15: Barbaracle (a strong up-close fighter with long combo strings due to its four arms)
16: Silvally (a rushdown fighter that attacks with sharp claws)
17: Dhelmise (basically this game's Chandelure, it attacks with spooky energy blasts and by swinging its massive anchor around)
18: Escavalier (an armored fighter with powerful lance strikes)
19: Darmanitan (a stance fighter that can switch between up-close bruiser and ranged zoner)
20: Lopunny (an agile fighter that excels at evading and striking back)
21: Ludicolo (a dance battler that's good at dodging attacks and zoning with plant and water attacks)
22: Tapu Koko (a lightning-fast rushdown fighter that can electrify parts of the stage to deal damage to foes standing on it)
23: Deoxys (a stance-changing fighter that can boost its speed, offense or defense by swapping forms)
24: Urshifu (Rapid-Strike style, which focuses on long combo strings)
DLC characters:
25: Infernape (a fast rushdown fighter that can enhance its attacks with fire for extra damage)
26: Chesnaught (a counter-based fighter that focuses on blocking attacks and striking back)
27: Hitmonchan (rushdown-focused boxing character, basically like Steve Fox from Tekken)
28: Cofagrigus (an unpredictable fighter that uses debuffs and curses to hinder opponents while keeping them bay with its stretchy arms)
29: Dragonite (a capable zoner with dragon blasts and wind attacks, but it can also throw its weight around in close quarters combat)
30: Melmetal (an incredibly slow fighter, but it can punch from afar with its stretchy arms, and its sheer power lets it muscle its way through enemy attacks)
The more characters you listed, the more insane it became that Mewtwo was left out
