Yasssss B! I love your cooking videos man they help so much. This practically like a cheaper Quest bar, gracias you'll save me a lot of money.
Thanks for the mention in the description Michael :D
Why did u remove your videos?
Literally love using sweetit and making bars with it. These cookie and cream ones look delicious :)
I have spent my life savings on quest bars.. this is awesome
Looks good dude! definitely trying this!
Good looking recipe as always!
36g of fibre sounds fucking insane
question of the day: WILL I EVER STOP POOPING????
Hey Michael! Been following you since the leanbodylifestyle days, and I just wanted to say thanks and that I appreciate all the recipes you've provided over the years. they've made cutting infinitely easier and more enjoyable for me because there are only so many times you can eat chicken breast, brown rice, and broccoli without going crazy lol. Keep up the good work I'm off to buy this fiber stuff👍
Thank you man!
I miss when you used to put the recipe and macros in the description :\
just follow along lmao
Don't get upset bro
That's what the video is for! I'll re add them from now on
I was just about to comment this
Yeah I agree recipe and macros was awesome in the comment section thanks Mike for adding them back in love the videos man
Great recipe. Also, gotta love the Pop Tarts on top of the fridge!!!
Haha
This channel is gold :)
Omg peanut butter Oreos :O I can die happy. Looks great!!!!
For those wondering: It works out to be $1.66 per 2 bar serving (only counting the VitaFiber syrup) if you buy the 4.5LB in the US. Quest bars are around $2.08 per bar (including protein, 0 time, 0 effort).
Homemade: 210 cal, 4g fat, 49g carb, 20g protein
Quest Bar: 180 cal, 7g fat, 22g carb, 21g protein
***** I totally agree with you guys. In addition to that 36 gr of fiber WAAAAAA !!!! Don't want to spend my journey on the throne if you see what i meen !
/r/theydidthemath
I actually calculated it to be over $1.80 per 2 bars using cheaper sellers of the same type of protein and fiber. If it was the same this guy gave I'm sure it would be over $2.00 per 2 bars. So in the end you save around 50% of the cost making it yourself.
mikey panther I found the redditor.

I tried that Sweet It and love the bars that you can make with them! Great macros too!
Tasted great!
How's the consistency of yours, can you eat them straight out of the fridge? Mine are bricks following the quantities.
Great vid Michael. I've made these before in the uk they're great to make up your own flavours. Does the body use the carbs in fibre as energy should it count towards my carbs/kcal on my fitness pal? I never understand is this a high carb bar? Keep up the good work
Hey, contacting you from Dublin, Ireland. I love this video and great recipe. The Sweet-It product you use, what is it exactly? I dont think its something I could come across too easily in Ireland but do you know of an equivalent? Thanks for all the great videos
Been making this type of protein bar for a couple of years now with the three ingredients. I suggest investing in a silicone tray to mix your ingredients in. It doesn't stick and makes it easy to form into bars by folding and bending the tray plus less dishes to wash and that's a big deal to me hahaha
Nice tip thanks man. Also Didn't you say that you can sub the fiber stuff for almond milk? Does it still have the texture of a bar (Kinda chewy)? I kinda want to make a low carb/calorie version of this.
I myself haven't tried it this way so I'm not for certain. But you use 1 tbsp of each. Here's a link to "The Buff Dudes" video. Same thing only they show an alternative to vita fiber. www.buffdudes.us/2014/06/how-to-make-homemade-quest-protein-bars.html?m=1
Michael, you're great. Can't wait to try them out. I wonder if this sirup is available in germany.
what is this vitafiber stuff sweetened with since it says no stevia, no artificial sweetners, no sugar etc... ?
Nostradingus
lol what??
Linux4UnMe You haven't made a video in a month and I see you in a fitness youtuber's comments section. Coincidence? I think not.
Nostradingus
lol aren't I allowed to watch other you tubers? :P
its sweetened by "isomalto-oligosaccharide" (or IMO for short) which "is a mixture of short-chain carbohydrates which has a digestion-resistant property. IMO is found naturally in some foods, as well as being manufactured commercially. The raw material used for manufacturing IMO is starch, which is enzymatically converted into a mixture of isomaltooligosaccharide."
taken from the wikipeadia page: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isomaltooligosaccharide
Bro, do you even towel row?
Thanks mate!
Kory - I'm 205lbs and trying to cut fat and build muscle fast. I'm limiting my daily caloric intake to 2000 calories. Please tell me if this is sustainable. My daily macros are as follows: 205g Protein, 82g fat, and 111g carbs. I figure at this rate I should be losing over 2 pounds a week based on a moderate activity factor of 1.55 and BMR of 2055.
Your input is appreciated. Thanks for breaking it down.
thats what i am talking about ,Looks amazing
You realy need to start manufacturing your own snacks for business I've been following for a very long time I hope I can offer you a formulation for industrial uses
Keep up thanks
Hey if I have unflavored whey can I still use it in your recipes? Like for a recipe that you use vanilla, can I just add vanilla extract for the flavor?
Good recipe man! Shaving dollars and easy!
inb4 quest lawsuit
Yes!!! Finally.
cool tip but with Costco now selling bars on par with questbars at less than $1 a bar for pure convenience I'd go with that. However the only flavors they have are chocolate chip cookie dough and brownies so if you want a cheaper variety this is still the way to go.
man ur just awesome , i just have one question for u , i have already protein with cookies and crame taste , do i need to add those oreos or just add the protein and this vitafiber
Short intro !
Love it
Nice and simple
how dope is that?! if i liked quest bars, I'd make these lol
great video man :)
I've been subscribed since LeanBodyLifestyle and i still enjoy the content you put out.
you da man :>
Thanks!
is the powder good to use or the sweetit liquid for this?
Really cool, thanks! And the tip with the plastic bag is genius!
Do you have a favourite my protein flavour?
I like the cinnamon roll and English toffee
Michael, I can't really tell from the video, how did the consistency end up, could you eat them straight out of the fridge? Mine are bricks following the exact quantities
I just did a review on several branded protein bars and soy being a turn off. What is the average pricing to make 12 of these bars comparable to the quantity you can get by the box for the brands sold in retail locations? I may do an episode on making some myself. Thanks!
Could you put flour on the cooking surface and dough in order to knead it by hand?
Wish I could find these liquid fiber on my country. Never saw this anywhere :(
What type of scale brand is that you use to measure the vita fiber (sweet it)?
Bro this rocks
Kory!!!!!!!!
Appreciate that!
:') I know you do! haahah LOVE U!!!!! lmao
I'm just curious, what happens if you don't use the liquid fiber? Is there any alternative liquids you recommend?
I would recomend mixing the fiber and Protein in one and afterwards add the oreo it will take a lot of time :)
Can you do this with no fiber syrup and adding almond milk instead?
hi im from australia. our bars cost $3.95 a piece. this is such a great recipe
thing is we dont have vita fiber/ and sweet it wont ship here.
what can i use to replace it?
Michael, you should make a protein rice pudding recipe video...
Keep your amazing videos and hard work, huge fan buddy :)
if i dont have IMO syrup or vitafiber… what can i use?
can i use xanthan gum?
i used mts peanut butter fluff + peanut butter mini oreos and they were awesome. pretty much as good if not better than quest bars. next im going to use mts red velvet with red velvet oreos, and then mint cookies and cream with mint oreos.
(and yes, i own a shit-ton of mts protein. it taste the best, and i buy it in bulk so i dont have to pay for shipping 5x, and so i dont have to drink the same flavor for a month straight.)
That's the same recipe Coach Greg uses 😎
I'mma start bulking soon so I will be here often now! I need some healthy, high calorie meals!
***** I'm you though.
I can't tell if people jokingly make fun of you, or if they are serious, srs.
MissionForDays Its a mixture of both lol
Lol I see you everywhere. I saw you comment on Christians video earlier.
MissionForDays Lol I'm just an active guy in the youtube community man just like all of you guys
Per bar:
Fats - 4g
Carbs - 49g
Protein - 20g
4x9=36 calories from fats
49x4= 196 calories from carbs
20x4= 80 calories from fats
Total: 312 calories per bar
Are the macros wrong in the video or are the calories calculated wrong?
The fiber has no calories
Hey Michael, where to get that fiber liquid? thanks
Is there any substitute for this sweet syrup?
You're amazing!
are there any differences between vita fiber liquid and vita fiber powder? i suppose both works
I was wondering if I could just use a liquid fiber and then use a sweetener like stevia to make it taste better?
Any reason you don't get the syrup from VitaFiber directly? It's WAY cheaper. $50.00 for 5kg vs $135.95 for 4.5kg if you get it from sweetit.
I see those poptarts bro!!!!nice
gonna be on the toilet for hours... lol great recipe. i would probably add a touch more of protein and less carbs.. i think the 100 calorie snack pack oreos would be good to mix with as well
I dont wanna use whey is it ok? Not even for body building.... But proper diet i will follow... Is it fine?
Quick question for Michael or any other that might know:
In my country there's only Vitafiber powder available, would this change the recipe? Or can I just add the powder in the mix and it would have the same consistency?
Thanks in advance for the answer!
idk
michael any substitution for the vitafiber?
i wonder if you could use honey instead of the sweetener. i'm guessing not but it would be interesting to try
Where can you get that type of liquid fiber?
Michael do you have any suggestions for meals to take to work? I'm literally eating pasta and chicken with shredded mozzarella everyday. Any suggestions I work a 9-5
Maybe some other recipes I have on the channel would be good that you can make it in advance
Sweet! Just bought that fiber the around I saw your video! Thank you Kory!
Vita fibre and stevia is very very expensive! For that reason I am unable to make these unless you have an alternative?
buig thsnjs for the video! Mine came out nice but rock hard, did anyone else find this?
I just ordered it...
Hey Michael, the protein powder I use has 5g of creatine per scoop and I take 2 scoops daily, is this harmful?
What song is playing in the background?
this is a nice snack idea ... so you get 40/100 per 2 bars (very good macros)
I miss when Michael Kory used to make recipe videos all the time...
Yum
Can you bake these like you can with quest bars? or would it come out weird?
Gabrielle Lofton Wondering the same...
I took a quick glance on both online stores and it seems that Vitafiber is a lot cheaper than Sweetit
ALL I EAT IS QUEST. #CHEATCLEAN
***** yup
Inb4 Quest takes you to court
The original recipe is from the BuffDudes
I want to use the link for the liquid fiber but it seems not to work...
Little trick I found: wet your fingers if you want to shape the bar with your hands, it wont stick!!
Im in canada Mike 135$/ 10pds plus tx & shipping .... it's too expensive .... but looks good
Can you bake these quest bars into quest cookies with this recipe?
sweet
can I use almonds instead of cookies ?
What is an alternate to Vitafiber
micheal can you answer me please, when you train legs you change shoes and hats while working out, why is that ?
I want the pop tarts on top of the frig instead
has anyone tried this recipe or any other homemade quest bar recipe ?...are they an good?(are they sweet and yummy...-taste like a quest bar-?) ...I am just wondering before I but the vitafiber syrup.
I can't find the vita fiber link
'How's agoin guys' Micky when did you become irish? good gosin
LMAO
***** conor heslin You can't unhear this now loool
***** as an irish man who uses 'Hows agoin' as a common greeting on a daily basis i must say this comes off very good. most actors couldn't get an Irish accent this good. Its Hollywood next Michael!
conor heslin fuck sake dude hahahaha thats great
conor heslin gosin hahahah doubt anyone on this channel have heard that before
Would they melt in my gym bag at room temperature?
Here in Brazil, VitaFiber doesn’t exist 😂
pop-tarts on the fridge...lol
Is sweet it safe?
anyway I can reduce the carbs? 49g per bar is a bit too high.. considering I'm on a low carb and need carbs to play with
It's 13g net carbs. Pretty low.
Disulfide Bond I still would count it as 49g of carbs. If I was having a quest bar I wouldn't count it as 3g net carbs, I would count it based on the nutritional facts on the back.
Correct me if I'm wrong!
Bailey Munro your wrong carbs from fibre does not count towards carbs they r not carbs net carbs r what matter
That's what I said Jesse Yates
whoops your comment did not load fully Jesse Yates
Why exactly do they not count?
I hope they announce Knack 3 and Bloodborne Kart at PS5 event.
I use syntha 6 protein, it just goes sticky, has anyone else had trouble getting it into a "bar"? Thank you for the video though.
mirin huge box of Poptarts
Wayyyyy too much fiber in a single bar. And let's be real, nobody's eating just that one 'half'.
They're really filling tbh
Just don't add as much of the sweet it then to cut some of the fiber out.
Jordan Gibson diarrhea sounds pretty nice.....let's be honest we're going to eat the whole bar and get 72g of fiber
Jordan Gibson I know just ridiculous !
wish vitafibre was available in sydney
