Single mothers are often comfortable with their position, but the child not having a good male role model is the one that actually suffers. The odds of that child falling into criminal or economic trouble is much greater without a father.

Can't help but notice how the man took no culpability in this situation. Nothing about him was mentioned and how he was just as much involved in developing her situation. Everyone makes mistakes, and it's important to recognize all parties. It's also important to recognize how little life training she got. Young people make mistakes because of a lack of education and effective mentoring. They try a new way, try something different, and there are reasons for that. Bottom line: hold the man accountable.

Honestly her attitude seems very much like American women, but we are all human.
Living together before marriage, leaving because the guy was broke, then apparently excluding the guy from the son’s life are all very irresponsible behaviors if you aren’t in a committed relationship.
She also seems to have no clear career goals or life plan, or even objectives for her kid besides him not becoming a criminal or disrespectful.
It was also pretty disturbing thinking every relationship is horrible because of one mistake. Rubeauti seems way more mature and rational, and I get that they’re sisters, so maybe interviewing someone who wasn’t related would’ve revealed more, since her sister wasn’t volunteering her thoughts.
Jet is still young, but having seen the huge numbers of single moms in the Philippines is definitely something that is problematic. And having them being completely dependent on family to survive is also sadly common. But for the men who can step in for these women , kudos to you guys.

I think you have distorted the issue, by treating getting pregnant as a crime, and not a social issue - and literally forcing your sister several times to "take responsibility" for her actions. I'm gobsmacked at the lack of sensibility you have shown.Your sister going out and eventually getting pregnant (not optimal, but not a crime) has more to due with the lack of parental preparation, governmental malfeasance, and cultural rigidity, than actions by your sister. She is guilty of nothing, but poor circumstances, and lack of support at that time. It was tough to watch you, who seemingly knew nothing about what your sister was going through at the time, sit there like a pedantic nun, encouraging her to admit "her responsibility". Very, very disappointing. Your sister deserves better. Deserves a more compassionate and understanding family. She seems amazingly nice. I wish for her only the best things in 2023. While there are many beautiful aspects of the Philippines, one of the ugly aspects are the judgmental hoards promoting hateful "chizmiz" in cycles that never end. Stop sitting in judgment - you are not qualified. Only G-d can do that, and start being more kind. If Rubeauti can't do it, there is not much hope for filipino society...

Well, I would make the argument that most teenagers crash cars when they're learning to drive... 😃...Are they irresponsible? Maybe. But it all comes down to the fact that they just don't know how to drive yet. Life doesn't come with an instruction manual. And sometimes we get ourselves into situations that, even with the best of intentions we find ourselves in an untenable position that is unbearable, depressing, or downright creepy and we have to bail...Life is live and learn. It is by definition full of mistakes. But here is the paradox...Is your nephew a mistake, Rubi? I think you would vehemently scream "No!" at that thought, right?...So what's the point of passing judgment on your sister at this point? Her
"mistake" and her "irresponsibility" gave you one of the great joys of your life, not to mention hers...Let it go... 🤗

I think she's happy with herself, because she has joy within her soul, and love herself. Her previous relationship took her joy, and happiness away. A man that is established, treats a woman well, and handles all of his responiblies, would have married her years ago, and still be married today. He would be financially, emotinally, and spiritually stable. Your life would be different as a married Queen. She is happy to be a single woman, not a single mom, because she has peace of mind. I agree with sis. Living with inlaws sounds atrocious. A man should build his kingdom (money) and castle (house) before he looks for a wife. A girl shouldn't date a man without a kingdom and castle. Being financially stable and having a house shows the man is serious and ready. He has worked hard to obtain these things. The girl can move in and make the house a home. Take care of the home, the man (be his peace and bedroom fun), take care of and kidos. Man takes care of all financial needs and showers his wife with support, affection, affirmation, & reassurance. Easy.

Single mothers try their best ... unfortunately a fatherless child most of the time ends up being as emotional as the mother growing up ...as they inherit the mother's spirit. meaning they tend to over react to difficulties, have lots of stress, anxiety etc.. thus having a harder laife and maybe commiting crime or suicide

I think the most important thing for a young lady to understand is when you look to make yourself available to a man, that the main goal should be, is that man capable to be able to provide for a family by himself with no outside help. That thought should not involve anything to do with height or looks, but everything to do with character and actions. A women is the gatekeeper of who has sex and children. A man is the gatekeeper of who has a relationship or marriage. Choose wisely.

It's very sad and distressing that so few children and even young adults are properly taught about sexual health worldwide and all that entails. Obviously to include the being a single mother or father. We can do so much better when we get the typical fears out of the way as the parents or as the potential father/mother. I am a very optimistic person having come through life and death health situations myself. That said, if folks realized where things are heading (See Geopolitical Strategists like Peter Ziehan) in the next years, decade or two with the global economies, they might say no instead of falling prey to hormones. The global economies and demographics from China and Russia to E.U. and Japan are falling apart rapidly by and large. Famine in China is highly likely as well as elsewhere it is already beginning to hit a stride few would ever wish to see. So its up to us older and wiser folks to educate ourselves better to educate them better on when and why to have a child. They then can plan wisely as they see fit for not only economic reasons but for preconceptual health reasons as so many babes are born from very unhealthy mothers and fathers setting them up for a life of unneeded suffering. It's my hope to continue teaching preconseptual health and opportunity rich living for the unborn so when they are born, expected or not, they have the best chance at a beautiful life as they can have on this crazy little planet we call earth. :)

Interesting video. In the Philippines, some women who end up being single moms, are somewhat like that, going to say they are happier being a single mom because of some perceived freedom they have over a relationship with a partner. But what actually happens is the woman's parents will take her back because the elders will not be able to turn away from their granchildren. In some sense, at times the woman's parent may even have a sense of guilt over the situation of their child's single mom dilemma. So some single mom's would go back to their families and thus the multi-generational household will exist. In the absence of the father, the grandfather or other older male relatives may become then the child's male role model. Of course this varies in each family's personal relationships. In some sense this makes the single mom feel she has freedom, where in fact she is needlessly throwing the responsibility of parenthood back to her own parents. Such is the family orientation in the Philippines, at times the parent's unconditional generosity will be abused by their erring daughter.
But there are also situations, where more truly conservative families will not ever accept the partner their daughter's took on. So these older clan will give an ultimatum to the daughter, ditch that guy or risk being disowned by your family's clan. It may sound like too dramatic, but it does happen, and more often than not, the daughter cannot risk being disowned, especially if her ancestral family has some status/ old wealth in the Philippines. Whoever that guy is, it will take more than guts and brave face before he will be accepted by the ancestral family.
There are just some cases where a woman at times way too naive and sparks of rebellion from ones parents that leads to unfavorable relationships and having a child out of wedlock.
Then too late to find out her partner is not ready at all to assume fatherhood let alone be a legal husband, so naive woman ends up being a single mom with a child.
These days social media and celebrity's life makes huge impact on impressionable young women, so some thinks it is okay to disregard common sense when in a relationship, hence, unwarranted pregnancies occur. It is good if the mother realizes her mistake and takes on the responsibility of being a mother, or is lucky enough to have strong clan support to help raise the child.

love you ❤ love your videos 💕 Back in the sixties, single parenthood was very high in African-American communities compared to other groups in the US society. They did quite an intensive study on this phenomenon. The report identified four key findings as to why single-parent families are in high numbers among black communities.
1, Low income was number one. 70% of single parents earned less on average, and the middle class had 5% of single-parent families back in the sixties in the USA.
2, Low education level. 66% of single parents did not finish high school, compared to 28% of single-parent families among high-school and college graduates.
3, Lack of moral compass. This came as a surprise to the social scientist because almost 86% of the single-parent attended church services on a weekly bases.
4, Emotional damages endured in childhood. About 45% of single-parent families came from single-parent families. Thus, significant regeneration was detected. Another considerable difference was identified: trustworthiness, the lack of it.
Every individual is subject to these forces. Despite, one acknowledges it or not. Great numbers of Millennials cannot hold a job, nor can they build meaningful relationships with one another. The reasons are the same today as for the black communities in the USA way back in the sixties.

There are religious Christian people that think if you divorce and remarry you are causing your partner to commit adultery in perpetuity, so basically even if you marry their daughter, you are condemning their daughter to hell for all eternity. You can give her an ultimatum, which usually doesn't work out well in the end, or break it off. There are many wonderful filipinas and their families who will accept you. The girls are wearing relatively short dresses, which is more comfortable at home. The position and angle of the camera is pointing directly at an area that they don't want to be seen / screenshot. Maybe it's a problem because you want to see it? Haha just kidding guys. Without the pillow they would be putting a hand on it instead, which is more awkward.

These two look like half sisters. In the RP and in many other countries the number of single mother households is rapidly increasing. This is one factor as to why a lot of younger men in the RP appear and act effeminate. Boys raised by single moms and their Ates. These young boys have zero male role models during their formative years but still have the ability 15 years down the road to impregnate another young girl who will repeat the process. It is a VERY difficult process to break because it becomes systemic in portions of the society. I wish your sister luck and happiness but even more so I wish that your nephew become a strong and capable man.

    Single mom syndrome…
Should not be like that from the 3 sides: the mom, a new partner and the child.
If she encounters a nice person ( m/f) at the right moment, she will not think rationally “ I must remain a single mom”
If a person meets her and likes her, there will be no rationality “ I don’t want a woman with a child”
If her child would be brought into the relation , the child will not act like “kill him!”
How do I know this, you think? BTDT😊 Succesfully to a certain degree.
