I took 15mg Mertazapine for 5 years. I stopped taking it exactly 3 months ago after advice from a pharmacist to reduce my dose over about a month before stopping. I had never heard of tapering to discontinue till recently and now wish I had. I have had insomnia from day 1. I am experiencing brain zaps and a weird sensation throughout my central nervous system which I cannot explain but the sleep is the main issue though. It took me a few months for my sleep to get back to normal. first month i was only able sleep 1-2 hours a night
Paul LaMalfa thanks Paul I need to hear this feeling so bad 2 nights no sleep meds are have no help🤗🤗
@@eileendoherty2836 it will get better. I promise. I found that the only thing that actually got me to sleep was Lunesta. I tried everything under the sun, while it didn't help me sleep through the night, I was able to actually fall asleep. This all happened in July/August so I can completely relate to how you are feeling.
Paul LaMalfa that’s wha.t I take with mirtazapine
They give this shit out in jail everyday🤡 if it’s givin out in jail… it’s no good 😂😂😂
this drug is really hard. 7.5mg is enough
I have been taking 7.5mg a day on and day off for poor sleep, was prescribed 15mg .
But decided to half the tablet incase it didnt agree with me.
Can it be taken on and off or has to be consistently
The sedation the next day no energy
I don't know how people are on 7.5 isn't it more sedating the less you take? Im on 40mg
Hey Lyle
OOPs anxiety attack Dave Mason
Please please I’m so scared to stop taking the 15 mg of this drug because I’ve been taking it for 25 plus years with 25 mg trazadone. How do I get off this as I heard it’s terrifying to get off of. Started taking it because of insomnia and my past divorce. I’m 61 female and so happy with my new life on my homestead. Like I said I’m taking 15 mg. I want to live a natural life now. My recent very young doctor said I’m going to have a hard time because of all the years . What am I going to do
hope you found a solution
Let me know how you do
5% tapper every two weeks.
It will take you at least 5 years because you were in it for so long.
@@anatino Also only eating seratoninproducing food, alot of other supplesments that increase seratonin and excersise might be good. Just talk it over with a doctor especially when it comes to seratoninproducing supplements. Hope you done well so far. Good luck.
im 9 weeks off.my moid keeps dropping.im so tired...im sleeping but not all night...im eating and trying to do daily stuff but struggling really bad...the noises in my head are sending me daft(doesnt stop) my whole body is,aching and the headaches, are bad....what can i take to ease this.....i was on this drug for just under 4 month...from 15mg to 30mg then back to 15mg
What helped for me is when I cant take it anymore I use 15mg then continue to withdraw, until my body slowly adjusted.
For sleeping you can smoke weed.
And you got to think: I am going to get through it , no matter what happens.
Your brain thinks you need that pill,
No you got to rewire your brain to what it once was.
That takes allot of time
I so relate to you
Could we possibly communicate please,my head is going insane
@@charlieholder7139 I'm also going through it. I'd love to communicate with you
I know a lot of you are here looking for answers because you’re scared or you’re feeling like death coming off Mertazapine.
Please listen to me, it took my over a year to get off this stuff and I went cold turkey. DO NOT go cold turkey. Ween off, Prozac WILL help if you take that edge off to make up for some of the lost Seratonin your body stopped producing.
You’ll make it to the other side. Taper off with the Prozac assistance.
Yeah sadly for me I went cold turkey. I was advised to and didn't know any better until 6 months off this fuckin medication. I'm on month 9. And the symptoms are still bad. Ketamine mixed with therapy has helped with ruminating thoughts but the anxiety, akathisia, head pressure is horrible.
Is there any way I can reach out to you and talk? It really helps to talk to someone who knows what I'm go through and went cold turkey. It's so depressing trying to explain this shit to my family and medical doctors
And if you can't talk what did you take to get better?
Remeron withdrawl was worse than heroin
I threw up ever day for weeks
did you quit slowly?
How are you today ? I quitted 2 weeks ago and it is going good except the sleeping is still not right. Was put on clomipramine that medication stops nausea like no other .
I was 14 years on mirtazapine
What would someone take for acute anger/aggression caused by withdrawal?
This is the worst side effect my son gets when he withdrew any psych medicine every if we do slow taper!!??
@@taghreedrulia5168 take passiflora incarnata mother tincture 30 drops every morning before breakfast.
@@brokendreamchaser399 are you now off of mirtazapine?? Was it bad getting off?? If you don't mind me asking how did you taper? I want of this medication asap. Ty
