Can’t believe I watched a 25-move draw but thanks to Antonio’s explication was completely spellbound, the title reveal at the end the best part. How is he so consistently good-and even increasingly better & better. I’m addicted.
Picture a historic football clash where two powerhouse teams engaged in an epic battle, matching each other move for move on the field. The relentless intensity, coupled with breathtaking plays, led to a hard-fought draw that transcended the scoreline, creating a memorable spectacle for fans and establishing the match as a timeless testament to the artistry and resilience of the beautiful game......well this game served that purposr
Wonderful game. I enjoyed the plethora of lines being explored. It felt like going through book commentary but without the tedium of playing out and keeping track of all the possible variations.
It's good to confess to the public court of chess justice. It avoids the Spendish inquisition. As in I appreciated the explanation of the title of this game. It also reminded me of the recent knight game. So it's OK to every now and again give the chess people the answer to the eternal question "what's on Agads mind" This insight however does not absolve of not implementing my precious flip button already. If you had I am sure I would have found the move too. Not fair! :)
This is one year after the World Championship match in the World Trade Center, where Kasparov showed the world his greatest contribution to chess and why is he is such a champion. This is the door slam attack. Anand won game 9 and took the lead. In game 10, every time he made a move, Kasparov would get up to go the bathroom and slam the door behind him so hard the entire room shook. The mild and polite Anand had no reply to this attack, and did not complain to the arbiter, and the arbiter did not anything either. Kasparov stands alone as no other player since then has employed the door slam as far as I know.
Crazy game I’m surprised Kasparov couldn’t win he seemed have an edge with the Black pieces White had strong opening a lot of pressure with those pawns Thanks for the Game enjoy your day as well Suggestion # Agadmator vs Lichess Opponent Rapid 😅 hope so 😊♟️
For some reason the volume was low on this video. Wonderful game though. That rule about capturing toward the middle is one of the least useful rules there is. It's better to capture the other way about half the time; I'm not even joking. So the rule is pretty much pointless. Capture away from the middle if 1) you open up a piece or 2) you open up a line to the opponent's king or 3) You're a good player and it just looks like the better way to capture (as in this game).
It's always bothered me that Kasparov had such a big plus score against Anand. For whatever reason, Kasparov just summoned his best form against Anand.

You know, I've been around since Fischer. Around the Kasparov era I stopped following top games. Games like this, without youtube or stockfish, would take you days to analyze and you couldn't follow it. The other thing is, Magnus, and this is my opinion, doesn't like to dive into middlegame complications the way Kasparov and Anand did. I'm sure there are many examples where he did, but he's played more games than almost any living player. However, the ones I remember most are where he plays to an even endgame and wins it. Does anyone agree with this assessment?
Sir don't defend against Kasprove because all over the world knows Garry Kasprove is my all time favorite Anand is fit for working as office assistant for Garry Kasprove

I really like these super complex pre engine era games..feels refreshing actually haha
This wasn't a chess game, this was a WAR. Amazing stuff from both of them and from you also with a great analysis of the game
How many jewels like this are lying around because players don't bother to analyze draws for missed lines.
This is a young Anand directly issuing a challenge to Kasparov and I love it. Anand is and always has been one of the best ambassadors of the game
:/ young anand, he lost the world championship the previous year

Chess at its peak. Completely madness
Further proof that not all drawn games are dull. Great stuff Agad 💪
I actually found Rfc8😳.... waiting for FIDE to send me the GM title😌
😂😂😂
Wow
Fide has sent you the GM title... Check your home it must be there 😂
Why not superGM?
Your title is in the mail. ;-)
I find myself narrating my own games in the style of Agadmator, especially using the phrase "nasty discoveries" - it actually helps me play better

Not a game of chess, but a clash of titans! It felt like an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object.

"The world is your oyster." - Agadmator.
That was so crazy, I’m impressed neither of them blundered the game at any point
"..transposing into the Kahn variation.."
Me: " into what variation?"
Kirk: "KAAAAAAAHN"
Boy I love the way chess was played those days. Absolute brawl
The dragon has almost disappeared completely in modern games.the game has evolved
Wonderful game, thanks Agad!

11:03 Night to Ivanchuck -- we haven't had this pun for a while!
#Suggestion : 1995 Game in Moscow between Vishy Anand and Alexander Morozevich where Morozevich played King's Gambit.
I thought previous Anand vs shirov video was crazy but this is crazier
Great game. From one checkmate option to another
The „El Classico“ of Chess
Remarkable game. Good choice!

Ye both Anand and Kasparov are legends
When are you doing that kasparov vs tuning machiine video?
wow, what a game!!!
Тhe way Anand played against the world champion!
Wow!
wow what an epic game
I am a great admirer of Kasparov, yet I admit that none is faster or stronger than Anand
Is there a way you can add in the time time stamps? I think it would be interesting to know if they were in time pressure.
Sweet game
Interesting...

Nice knife fight! They both bled out.
Yes Tal was calculative, intimidating and fatalistic with his moves
Hey! What about rook to d3 instead of king c1
Please show Rashid game its been a long time

Now I wish we didn't have engines.

What if whitecaptures the black pawn on a6 ?
The Queen could’ve actually blocked the Bishop as well might as well if you’re going to lose it anyway
I am a beginner but interested what would happen if Kasparov played rook to d2 (at 11:39).
I don't see why they decided to draw. Black Rc8 and also the other Rc3. Where are White's winning changes?
Anand saga
6. g4 just looks like a mistake?
Oho
Everybody new with 2 chess champions that Kasporav was the "true" champion.
Kasparov showed Anand that the only way to nullify his attack was to Attack back. Defence is not in his dictionary

Most of us would crumble if we were playing with black

Somewhat a very different kind of a draw that two Russians would play.
