The 8th Annual Dos Hermanas Chess Tournament held from May 20th to June 2nd, 1996 was a category XIX event. Ten of the world's best players, including the World Champion, competed in a round robin format. The participants were (in order of ELO): Garry Kasparov (2775), Vladimir Kramnik (2775), Vassily Ivanchuk (2735), Gata Kamsky (2735), Vishwanathan Anand (2725), Veselin Topalov (2700), Boris Gelfand (2700), Alexei Shirov (2690), Judit Polgar (2675), and local Spanish favorite Miguel Illescas-Cordoba (2635). Kramnik and Topalov took first as co-champions, each with 6/9, edging out Kasparov and Anand by half a point.

So many interesting themes, and really highlights the gulf between being up material and winning the game! The way Kramnik ground out the slimmest possible advantage to stave off a draw is blowing my mind, but also incredible how Anand defends here. It really demonstrates that grandmaster mindset when someone understands so precisely the strengths and weaknesses of the position, and walks that knife edge for 100+ moves
As @davidgriffiths7696 alludes to in his comment, we should appreciate Agadmator for showing the best side of Kramnik at this time. Not stoking the fires of controversy. This is a service to the game of chess and those who truly enjoy it.
Is there really any controversy though? Either Kramnik has totally lost his clarity of mind, or he's very disingenuously trying to cover-up a totally irresponsible & hasty misfire, while trying to maintain a sense of unearned righteousness. You can't ramble about how your mother taught you to be a man of your word while constantly squirming out of "I said X" with "you're a horrible person for saying I said X". That's not even criticizing the dishonest (or deranged, really who knows) denial that an obvious implication wasn't the implication at all.

Great point. Agadmator is a worthy ambassador for chess. Non-biased with no preferential treatment towards any particular organization. The only players he has shown favoritism towards are the legends of days gone by such as Tal and Bobby Fischer.

Kramnik is one of the best players :) to prove that black life in Grunfeld defense (which i like very much) isnt easy .Vlad plays many instructive model games with white vs Grunfeld ....even beat Kasparov in title match ( great game also) .

I think that Kramnik lost the respect of many in the chess community like myself when he started to call out some high profile players for cheating without any evidence.
i think he wanted some attention so he did it

The problem is there's no such thing as evidence in chess cheating for high level players if you're not witnessing it first hand in person. Kramnik tried to argue his statistical findings as evidence, and it's not definitive. Masters like dubov have spoken openly that if a strong master wanted to cheat, you would never know. They only need 1-2 moves. I think kramniks notion is just, but pointing the finger at Hikaru was a huge mistake, and for obvious reasons.
Hmmm reminds me of Lance Armstrong. Clearly he wasn't cheating but the math's Ole Kram presents is compelling... Just a thought

For the game winning move for Anand, why not P-E5+? Rook takes pawn, knight takes rook, king cannot take knight because of black bishop. So gains the rook in exchange for a pawn. Or am I missing something?

This game shows Vlad playing like Magnus in the endgame. In his early days Vlad played complicated games. No one has ever covered his great wins in the first Olympiad where Kasparov demanded he be put on the team when almost all GM's did not agree. Vlad was also the first player in modern times to go 70 or 80 games without a loss prior to his match with Kasparov. More of his games from the 90's should be shown as they are quite entertaining.
