I could justify the price if it weighed under 1 pound, battery life last as long as current MacBooks do, basically all day, and it had a cellular connection and could have a phone number assigned to it, basically could replace a smartphone. $3,500 for one device that could replace a smartphone, computer, tablet, and a TV seems like a steal.
I wonder what Apple plans on doing with all these returned headsets. I know they will hit the refurbished online store but what discount will these see?
I think there needs to be a better emphasization between what the Meta Quest 3 can do, and what the Apple Vision Pro can do because I see so many comments like "The Meta Quest 3 can do the same thing for 7 times less"... The Meta Quest 3 is a cheap Chromebook compared to the AVP, they're in very different markets due to one being much more premium, powerful, and smooth than the other.
It could be lighter, smaller, with Cell and clearer screen, but the cost to sell-price wouldn't work out. That's pretty much the case for any electronic product. The limitations are not the technical issues, but rather the ROI and profit ratio.
What would be the use case for having the battery in your pocket and also having the usb-c cable plugged in? having another power bank in the other pocket? wow very smart design xD.
As dystopian and lonely as the AVP is, as just one of its feature, you can use it as a 100" personal OLED TV, and that's not even the largest screen size it can serve to you. For perspective, a 97" OLED TV costs $30,000 at Best Buy. $3,500 is a lot, but in context to the level of tech you're getting, it's not. It's very hard to imagine but if adoption of AVP is as widespread as iPhone managed, in 2 decades time, we could very well find ourselves in a world where TVs just aren't a thing anymore.
Great video. Who gets to decide a name? Are ALL brands denied this option or just Apple? I think Apple created a device that can stand alone next to VR headsets. Meta leaned into VR headsets and gaming becoming inseparable. The public will ultimately decide if THEY need separate names for what is a VR gaming headset and the Vision Pro. So far, once they learn more about what the Vision Pro can do , they seem to agree it is spatial computing.
21:09 a part of me doesn't want people to know Im currently blinded while wearing 4k on my face. This device literally notifies everyone when you cant see them
I love the Quest 3, it does everything i need it to do as far as a VR headset is concerned...I would NEVER spend $3500 on any VR headset on the planet, no matter what it does or no matter how much work i need to do on my mac. Just isnt practical...i havent seen one single feature on any of these videos that makes it worth anywhere near that price. Not one....i appreciate what Apple is trying to accomplish with it, but to me its just another cash grab scheme, simply because they know whatever price they choose to put on it...some people will buy it regardless. It is what it is...but i wouldnt be interested in upgrading at all from the Q3 until something comes out with complete FOV.
If you've seen one of these, you've seen them all. Yada, yada, spatial computing is just a fancy word for VR. bah, bah, they have to do something to justify the price. "Honest review" "Is it worth it?" It's like everyone received the same paint by numbers script.
It’s a home computer. If you can’t find a use for it, you shouldn’t buy one and you definitely shouldn’t buy one just to make a clickbait review and return it.
Actually, he's doing EXACTLY what he should do, as a content creato for the following reasons: 1. This is his business, his brand. He has to create CONTENT, which this review was and is. 2. He has to have possession of the device long enough to do an actual review, rather than just what he thought of the demo. He's discovered a LOT MORE than just the 30 minute demo, a GUIDED tour. I had the 30 minute, scheduled, demo. Yeah, as a VR enthusiast, myself, there were apps they didn't want me to try. He kept talking about all these features APPLE wanted him to show me. Most of which, I already knew, from using other devices and having seen reviews. I know Apple has their own take. I went through all the apps with him, with time left over for me to try other apps, which he said he would get in trouble if he went off course. So, yeah... 😂🤣😂 3. He has an UNPOPULAR tale on the product, pointing out flaws and why he says it's not worth $3,500.00, to most people. I actually have to agree, again, as a VR enthusiast. I have 4 VR headsets, each with their own libraries too. Some apps are shared, others are specific to Oculus, Steam, PS4 and PS5. Yes, what this thing does is cool, but not $3,500.00 cool, especially lacking support and streamlining of tech, especially when other headsets are BETTER designed, when it comes to weight distribution. That battery is a F'ING JOKE!!! 2hrs and SEPARATE of the HMD?! Complete bullshit and for people who AREN'T familiar with VR and other HMDs. (Head Mounted Display) 4. APPLE didn't send him a REVIEW DEVICE. The only option, other than the useless 30 minute demo, was for him to purchase it and return it, especially since he has the take he does in the subject.
So, you're coming from your point of view as a viewer/consumer, not a content creator. You don't have enough information, from all points of view, to form an objective opinion, at least not to say what he should and shouldn't be doing as a content creator. Again, APPLE didn't send him a review device. So, having longer than 30 minutes with it, he's definitely going to discover any flaws APPLE didn't have in their "SCHEDULED 30 MINUTE DEMO". 😂🤣😂
14 days is barely anything. It just need more apps built for it. Imagine a desktop pc with windows 11 but there is no things to download so of course you will not find any use case for that as well
Dude… stick to reviewing shoes and socks if that is your thing…Are you mad they didn’t comp you for reviewing this product. Clearly your negative review gives that vibe

@@JohnSmith-hf1uf The same way the first generation Apple TV was a gimmick, it's a product that is occupied by another product and thus you don't really need. In this case the Vision Pro is an iPhone strapped to your face, so gimmick. It hasn't yet reached the level of it's own identity.
It's literally just a web browser.... I'm shocked people are buying it. Apple never intended to sell it but they did because they lost funds from developers leaving app store. It's a joke and everyone that buys it is the punch line.
Oh yeah it's only saving grace now is it's the only apple product to work with windows and steam link souly due to devs leaving the apple store and their outrageous conditions.

Precisely, Apple intentionally made these "mistakes" to only sell them later for more money
@@MicMaine actually I think they did that to have progressive path to release future models.

Video brought to you by Raycon. And Apple's return policy.
Been watching both your other channels and just realized you have a tech channel! Let's go!
You can do the same thing with quest 3...😅
The only the quest does better is gaming
I have both. Quest 3 is great to play games on but this is definitely far better.
Have you guys tried the hands free tracking on the quest?
I just bought a terabyte sized one yesterday. I don’t plan on returning it.
I just want it to listen to music and feel like im on top of a mountain
This is the future
@_TechFowIer_Thankss...
i will wait for the next gen where i can shoot 4k memories. This is the only VR that doesnt make me dizzy when viewing 3d clips.
i would buy it for the quality and responsiveness. this is perfect when traveling.
