Fun episode, although I have issue with one or two watches being considered a 'collection' as the standard definition is "three or more curated items". FWIW, I was a one watch person for 30+ years, a Rolex 16750. I love the Hodinkee FF for it's 40mm case size, lack of a date and non-branded case. If I did not have a Submariner 114060, I would seriously be on the hunt for one. That being said, I also have a USMC 41mm Marathon GSAR automatic as my real dive watch. I was a Marine Corps Huey SAR pilot in the 1980s and dive trained in the Marines. Now, since Marathon is the USA, Canadian and Israeli official military/government issued dive watch, manufactured to those government's exacting specifications... it includes a date window at the 4-30! So, the militaries of the three countries seem to think that a date is required, and in the case of the USA, the GSAR watch is also used as a field watch where a date is a good idea.
Two watch collection is always an impossible challenge for a watch enthusiast. These days I think a G Shock has to be in the mix to provide cover for sea, travel and under the radar requirements. That leaves a watch for everyday, ideally steel with a date and a watch for smarter occasions, leather strap PM and complication. So my two plus Gshock would be: GA-B2100 Royal Oak 37mm Patek annual calendar 5205G-013 But ask me tomorrow and it will change.
For me, a collection must have at least three watches. A "collection" is defined as "a group of things". A single watch is definitely not a group, two is debatable, for me it's a pair. If you have three or more, you can call it a collection. Callt it a two watch SELECTION.
Absolutely love the 1016, it’s so subtle and understated, yet gives everything needed to capture my attention.
This is how all watch videos should be made on TH-cam. Bravo! Superb!
Love this video! More please!
My 2 watch collection is….
1) JLC Geophysic 1958
2). Tudor BB58 blue
Ah yeah that’s great…
Love this series Justin. Great callback about Mr. Porter making video content early on cause that’s what drew me to want to shop there.
🙏🏽🙏🏽 I can remember it vividly- the man was a pioneer…thanks for the comment.
Loves theses kind of videos, keep them coming I enjoy seeing peoples taste and collection
Very enjoyable. Although, as a true watch hoarder I always panic at the thought of only having two watches 😂
🤣🤣🤣
Not the only one mate - sends a shiver down the spine 🤣🤣
Not come across your channel before. Really enjoyed this. Subscribed!
Thanks Eddie
Great stuff! A pure collection. Also fascinating to get a glimpse into this clothing brand. Cheers!
Great video. My two watch collection is Bluesy and Day-date platinum 36mm on leather strap
Thank you! And those are two 👌🏽👌🏽
Loved the content. The 1016 is one of my grail watches. Bet they are both more reliable than a Defender😂

That blancpain is just the perfect dive watch. It’s got everything. The Rolex is nice for sure but that diver is truly special.
Another great video brother!
Great video 👏 Love the format. 👊
Great episode!
HEAVY HITTERS.
🤣🤣🤣🚀🚀
Would not have a watch without a date window
Good show

Two guys talking watches in a coat check. Next time aim high, get matching chairs
🤣🤣🤣🤣🙏🏽
date window= necessary evil.
Mr Hast, some gentle advice; do not face the camera man-spreading like that.
Otherwise great video.
Dates at 4 should be illegal
The zooming in and out is too much.
