Sorry to see this isn’t doing as well as some of the other videos, just here to say that I love the content and don’t feel discouraged by the algorithm
My other videos gained most of their viewership 1 year or more after posting. No idea why, but they will just spike 10k views at random times, then level back out. That helps me not feel disheartened when videos dont instantly do crazy numbers. These types of comments help as well, so thank you!
The whiplash of hearing 8 full minutes of sardonic criticism of the module's main villain and lack of reasons to care, followed by, "I like this module." I was not prepared for that conclusion.
Sometimes the Battle at the Gates section is just that good lol. Also the other adventure locations are cool, though getting them to flow together takes some extra work. And you get to fight Tiamat! Well Aspect of Tiamat!
Man I love this channel. Every 10 months or so a new video pops up and it rekindles that wee buzz I got seeing these videos for the first time, when I was brand new to D&D.
@@GreenDMIt’s an Adventure Path (I believe primarily written by Chris Perkins) a series of adventures released monthly in Dungeon Magazine. 3.5 had three: Shackled City, Age of Worms, and Savage Tide, and then the style was picked up by Pathfinder with Rise of the Runelords and Kingmaker being the most well known. I’ve run one or two and pilfered several for ideas, but always loved Shackled City’s suspenseful intrigue as a city atop a volcano’s caldera.
I looked at my shelf of 20 unplayed DnD adventures and decided to donate it to my local high school dnd club. They will have waaaay more time to play all these year long campaign books than I will. Besides I bought them all on DnD beyond to get the isolated adventure art for the videos anyway.
Got a copy right after I watched Matt Colville mentioning it, but haven't had a chance to run it yet. Thinking of letting Brindol fall into the nine hells and running an adapted version of Descent into Avernus after that, but we'll see.
That would be a great way to make this into an adventure that goes into higher levels or has more fantastical elements! You can even put more Tiamat since she is a part of the Avernus!
Yay! I got the idea of adding more "skits" into these videos from doing nothing but skits for the Arcane Library video. Fun way to break up the overview.
I am starting this for my group Saturday, very excited. Definitely adding stuff where I can. I completely revamped part 3 with the ghost lord. Keeping the character but making all of part 3 tie in directly with 2 of my players back stories. Also going to make it so after Vraath keep they can choose weather to attempt to rally the kiri tor/deal with the wyrmlord at Rhest or go handle the Ghostlord and Wyrm lord there. I like this module but it doesn't give the players much choice. This video is great. Very well done and needed... reading this campaign book is a snoozefest. I had chatGPT read the pdf I bought and make me cliffsnotes. =D

ANOTHER VIDEO!!!
THESE ARE SO AWESOME!!!
Also, The Red Hand of Doom was a great choice.
THANK YOU. Also yes Red Hand so far has been very good choice.
@@GreenDMeye of myrkul is a fun one as well
Glad you are still making videos. You are one of my favorite D&D content creators on here.
That is really nice to hear! Hopefully I get into more dnd games so I have more adventures to read and make videos about!

I crawl out of my cave and yell at the clouds, only to slink back inside for hibernation lol.
Omg, you back :D
Yay :D whenever a read new adventures, there might be new videos! I need more dnd games though to get through more adventures lol
@@GreenDM good luck find time :)
Nice to see you back!
Thank you!
Most Goated Dnd guy.
I think I would be more of a sheep or rabbit DnD guy. No wait, I could be a frog DnD guy, like my little icon! 🐸
OH SHIT! Are we going 3.5 with this series? Fingers crossed for a Shackled City in 12 minutes!
I have not heard of Shackled City before. What kind of adventure is that?

I have Dragon Magazine! I will go look for this!
These are always such a treat!
Your comments are always such a treat!
Double endorsed adventure!
If you want, you can triple endorse it!

"we jump right into the action with an AMBUSH"
Me: DEJA VU! (Lost Mines of Phandelver)
😉

Oh my, I didn't think we'd see anymore videos. This makes me very Happy :)
Started a new DnD game, so need a new adventure to draw inspiration from! And this one is so well acclaimed I had to give it a read!
WE ARE BAAAAACK, also love how the characters/dice players have personality in this video

The moment I saw the title I knew it was inspired by Matthew Colville :)
I was rewatching the Running the Game series and got to the Red Hand of Doom episode. Finally took his recommendation and here we are!
I love rewatching your videos
That is good to hear. Hopefully they hold up on rewatch!
Bro I just found out you left your 1 year retirement a day ago to make a video about the module I was looking to run. Crazy!
I guess you need to have more modules you are excited to play so that I came out of retirement again lol

I ran this at tier 4, and it was epic.
Cool video
Cool comment
If Matt Colville is Uncle Matt, you're Daddy Green DM
I fear the Daddy DM moniker. The general public may get different assumptions 😆
WE ARE SO BACK
I haven't done many back exercises. My back is so wee.
Think you could do Phandelver and Below next? Would love to hear it in your take
I am working a script for that one currently.
@GreenDM looking forward to it!
Hilarious
Shattered Obelisk got the most votes…
I am working a script for that as well. But I was actively running this adventure, so it was easier to make a script and video.
