I hope it all goes well with it as you are spending a lot of money for you tube viewers to learn from you once again thanks for a excellent video keep up the good work
yep and that's what a lot of content creators do to run their channels. It cost a lot more than what some people realize to run a TH-cam channel, both in time and money 👍
Yes a 24 volt system is a nice system to have for better efficiency and running lower current. For a van build however, 12 volt systems give more flexibility with components and accessories and are generally cheaper to set up.
Hi Glen , I’m using. 4 of the kings 20a controllers in my little solar shed setup each with 2 x 160w kings panels .Been using them around 12 months no issues. As someone mentioned their mppt chargers are Epever clones . I purchased an MT50 before kings brought out their remote display and it works fine .
I pulled the cover off the charger for a look see before I installed it and it is the Epever controller for sure. I got a pic of the circuit board of the Epever and compared it to the Kings and it's the exact same controller, just with a few extra buttons on the interface screen.
Kings sell some other useful things which are good performers for the price. I am using the 12Ah and 24Ah battery banks to do a lot of things that save having to wire stuff up. Also the drawers make great lockable workshop storage at a fair price and double as a workbench if mounted at the right height. Thinking of using a small one for my 2 X 60Ah 24V system.
Yep it's the Epever controller for sure, I pulled it apart for a look see before installing it and it has the exact same circuit board as the Epever. Happy to see Kings have a quality controller there.
Projects in paradise 808 channel had a lot less production from his epever mppt’s compared to the Victrons. I think it really comes down to the algorithm they use to track the power point and how quickly it reacts to conditions changing.
But in all fairness there is a big difference between an Epever controller Vs a Victron controller. Victron is the way to go for sure if one needs the most out of their panels. I am keen to see how the epever / kings controller goes though 👍
hi, I think the test that you should do is look at the output from the Vytron compare to the Kings this will tell you how good the controllers are because I have found that output from different controllers can vary quite a lot. I had an enerdrive and it was hopeless with its output to the battery. Only the Vytron worked well.
This Kings controller is the EP-Ever Traser controller rebadged as Kings. I pulled it apart and this internals is the exact same, in fact the remote unit has the cable labelled EP-Ever which is a good controller, you see heaps of videos about them on TH-cam. The Victron controller is a premium quality controller with realy fast MPPT locking, it would be pretty hard to beat the Victron controllers 👍
Good to see you back on TH-cam mate, it's been a while since I've seen your videos on your old channel. 🤙
keeping things interesting, hope yourdoing very well

Long live the king then!
Lovely Ep and setup,,Glen. I Am keen to see how the 24 volt gos as I mite set up 24 volt setup in our little van one day in the near future,

G'day Glenn, I do believe that solar control is actually from EPEver. I have one and it's been flawless so far.
