Thanks for the video. I just installed a small 800w emergency system. I live at 4300' in the Cascades and the ground is frozen. I had to chuckle when you said you needed to dig a trench.

You have a great set up. I’ve run six of the LP4 batteries for over a year without a hiccup. Unfortunately mine are the V1 and your V2 are way better batteries. Sunshine is free money, grab all you can! 👍☀️⚡️🔋🤩

@ I’m running two 6000xps in an off grid set up. I have grid power but I just try to stay off of it. The net metering deals where I am are terrible so I just find new ways to use excess energy. Where the 18k & 12k beat the 6000 & 12000xp is their weatherproof case. I wish they made an off grid inverter like the 18k & 12k. 👍

Great setup. I use the 6k for my offgrid cabin with 6 batteries as well. U should reread the startup process. U should have all the dc breakers closed before turning on the first battery BMS switch. This way the precharged resistor can charge the capacitors in the 18k first. Doing it the way u did can send a large inrush current to the inverter as u closed the main inverter battery DC breaker last. The precharged resistor cycle had already completed as soon as u closed the small BMS switch.

@@macgyver_me9303 Check out section 8.1 of the manual it has the guide. With all switch is the off (open) position, turn on (close) the main battery breaker in the inverter. Turn on the breaker of the battery, then turn on the small BMS switch. This will ensure u have a DC path from battery to the inverter battery terminals and when the BMS starts up it will run the pre-charge resistor circuit first, sending a small about of current into the inverter to start charging the capacitors. This pre-charge cycle happens when u see the front LED lights blinking before the run and battery charge state LED’s are fully illuminated. Enjoy.

Nice! I've got 3 6000xp's hanging on the wall. Wish the 12000xp's had been out when I bought mine, would have been a little cheaper option. But the 6k's are fine too. Don't care anything about being grid tied.

@@macgyver_me9303 Way to much work for a little bit of gain. Nah I'm really ok with the 6000's. They do the job quite well. Having tridundancy is nice too. Losing one won't be all that painful waiting on a replacement. The price for the 12k's would let to have a pair for a little bit less and have the redundancy too. And they have the crazy high PV limits. Very nice setup too.
