I got it today and used it twice, I love it.
*I love the instant pot so much! I have made quinoa, chicken, chili, asparagus **MyBest.Kitchen** and yogurt in it so far. The only thing that didn't work great was the asparagus. I cooked it for 1 minute and it was still overdone. It is a timesaver and uses much less energy than my gas stove.*

.This video is misleading. They are not giving you the total time it takes. First, you have to bring the Instant Pot to pressure, then at the end of the cooking time, you have to depressurize it or let it depressurize itself. Both of these functions add a lot of time to the "cooking time" I know. I have had my Instant Pot for about a year. I do use it often for making soups and some chicken dishes. But remember, you have to include the total time to cook a meal.
With that said, you will save time and the food does taste good. I especially like my bean with smoked ham soup and of course fresh homemade chicken soup. Does an excellent job with both of these.
Kojak The same is true when using the oven. They did not include time for heating the oven. They are just telling the cook time only
She did talk about the machine having to build up pressure, and said that many times. They also said they had just depressurized one of the first meals, I believe the roast.
Instant Pot 12-14 hard boiled eggs at once! No rack, 1 cup water, Eggs in the pot, set 1 minute in high pressure, go to bed or shopping with NPR. Very easy to pill😅😂😍🥰😋

A major use of a pressure cooker is canning, but there is no mention of canning in any of the videos I've seen & no touch control for it.
I got mine from QVC...love it.
Of course an infomercial , oh oh oh , yes I will take 78 of them please . Not. However I still have mine after 4 years, used at least 2wice a week and it COOKS FAST. Great product.

What is the difference with 9 n1 7n1. I thought it was the presets but its not
It takes around 15 minutes to build up to pressure and 8 minutes to cook the eggs,, quicker on a stove top.
SuperZandersmom I agree. No saving on the time but...also no leaving the eggs on the stove because you forgot and the water boils off. Also. Something in that steam causes the shells to peel off so quick.
That’s why I love it for eggs.
Depending on where you live above sea level, mine takes 6 minutes to come to pressure I set on 6 minutes to cook (Ohio). Natural release 6 minutes. Cool in ice water. Then peel. No gray ring around the yolk. Perfectly cooked.
Perhaps , but wait for your frozen chicken to thaw in your refrigerator and when it's thawed , bake it in your conventional oven. Let us know how long that takes ??

I will not get an instant pot because I have a different multi cooker that does everything the instant pot does and it was far cheaper. The only thing it doesn't have a yogurt preset, but I can make that, but have to push more buttons is all.

Amy + Jacky have a poached chicken Instant Pot recipe that has become the only way I will cook a whole hen. The secret is to immerse the chicken in liquid and set the pressure time to "0" and then do natural release. Check their website and youtube channel - also their Havanese chicken.
I like dry poultry,but not beef jerky dry.

I received a red sealing ring for this cooker. Is it just a replacement, if I need it? thank you
sachsmom, the red is an extra according to their website; yet on another description it states it’s for spicy food, clear one is for sweets

It cooks meat to fall off the bone tender. A beef chuck roast is my favorite.

just bring water to a boil while eggs are in there covered remove from heat and 10 minutes later.... but I let them set for 12

It is still a pressure cooker but it also does more than the pressure cooker such as u can saute ur meat before starting the cooker and have specific settings for what u are doing.

I think the real tragedy is this: i lived 13 years in an apartment, bought the 9-in-1 Vivo Duo about 4 years ago. It sat in its box until about August of 2022 after I moved into my forever house. Now, it just sits in a cupboard. :`(
Are you scared to try it? I can tell you what beginner videos I found useful if that would help. Otherwise, save some money/space and regift it next month!

This model is not the same as the duo. Even Walmart and Target and Kohl’s have them now.
