I have the 3000 i series from tower to their smallest one. M20, then this 5020, I like the 3000i series its musical . Just give them space from the wall atleast 2 feet. The 5000 series is more airy. Listening close is a bit harsh with its tweeter. But 6 to12 feet away would give u good to great images. Depends on your amplifier pairing. Thats why this is my favorite speakers compare to my other speakers. The 5000 series is more livelier than my elac unifi. You cant go wrong with q acoustic speakers.
I love your videos, I just bought some 3050i because of your videos. Btw they are exactly, like you said, larger than I expected and a large sound. Thanks !!
@RP-ms7lu I was impressed by the quality finish and sound turn them up a little a they really come alive. They are a keeper for a long time, that's for sure.
@RP-ms7lu very nice lovely amp , I'm using them for 2 channel listening mostly and TV also . I'm using a Myrard ma240 power amp and t40 pre , but I'm considering going valve amp soon to try or Class A .
Thank you. I'm currently researching for bookshelf speakers for a system I'll be setting up for a mid sized sitting room for listening to music - mainly vinyl. I wasn't considering these, but after your informative review, I'll add these to the list. BTW, I also have the KEF Q3 Meta on the list. I'm wondering if they might be better for listening to music??? Hopefully I can get to test them together.
Definitely test whatever you’re considering together if possible. I like KEF products especially for music listening so I would put them on my short list. Respond back to this comment once you’ve selected and let me know what you decided, I always like to hear the outcome. 😁
@@HomeTheaterHobbyist thank you. I think the KEF are at the top atm, but I hope to listen to the top few together, then decide. I need to renovate the room first before I buy them, so it could be a while. Doesn't hurt to do research first though, does it.
Impressive, but man, Q Acoustics has really hiked those prices. Last I checked, the 3030is were $400/pair, now $549. Big oof. Speaker competition is way to fierce to hike prices like that. Thanks for the review Cody! They seem nice, but not $900 nice.
I think the 5000 series has more rigid cabinet, highs is more pronounced, the 3000i for me is more balance. But the bass is boomy if i placed them close to the wall, its perfect if i pulled it out 2 feet away, The 5000 for me is more airy.
Hi! The 5020 has more dispersion than the rp-150m, the dynamics are similar, the 5020 has a slight edge in mid range, and the 150m has a slight edge in treble performance. Hopefully this is helpful.
I always wanted Q Acoustic speakers! Love their styling and sound! great video as always Cody!
Thank you 🙏🏾

At this price q 3050i is unbeatable 😊, grand sound 😊

Fab, I’ve been hoping for a comparison with my 3050is, thanks 👍

Having to experience different Q Acoustics, would you go for the 5020i $1249CAD or the updated 3030c $1000CAD? For music listening primarily
5020 all day. Superior cabinet design, finish, drivers and sound quality. A real step up.
Hi Cody. Thanks for another great video! What are the differences between the q acoustics 5000 series and your arendal 1723s?
will Yamaha RX350 work good with these speakers as a home theatre setup?
Nice review. Any plans of reviewing the new Emotiva line? The center channel speakers can be used as lcr
Honestly I want to review the new line, I need to reach out to Emotiva. Hopefully I can get some in another few months but no promises. 😀

Thanks for watching and commenting. Since the pandemic it seems everything has gone up in price, I guess Q Acoustics isn’t immune. 😔😀

Very nice video. I have a query. My room size is 15*8*6..amplifier is denon 1800h. Centre is kef q650.kindly suggest a bookself other than kef?
I think you should look at polk R200
This is a great review.
Thank you 🙏🏾
