That is an excellent spot! - Q acoustics must feel that they can achieve what is required from a driver that is smaller - as Alex mentions in the video the Continous curved cone is such a leap forward "its not subtle!" Our thoughts having heard the 3020i vs 3020c is that it is so improved and is performing better despite being a fraction smaller in size.
They aren't. The effective driver area, Sd, is 9.2% larger on the new drivers. The correct method to calculate Sd is to measure the diameter across the centerlines of the surround bulge.
Hi I will be getting my 3050c floor standing speakers next week, which I will be pairing with my Cambridge AXR100. The 3050 c has a nominal Impedance of 6.8 ohms while the AXR100 has an Impedance of 8 ohms. Is it safe to pair the speakers and the amp together.
Good looking speaker! Any more info on crossover components? Mainly interested in whether it uses iron or air core inductors. Poly caps in the tweeter circuit? Also, does the wood vinyl look convincing? Thanks :)
why are the bass units smaller in size then the 3000i ?

@@AVHifiCinema Oh yeah, sure. LOL. I call it shrinkflation. It's a slightly smaller 5010 with a worse tweeter for the same money.

I sold my 3020i last year. didn't like the soft weeter at all after some months of listening.
These 3020c must have the same "problem".
